Caitlin Fairchild has posed:
The Titans are notionally a secret roster, but after ten-plus years in the public eye, they've polished up a pretty good approach for their public lives. The Tower itself is accessible (minus some basic security screening) from a designated landing pad/jetty near the water. Yartezi is met and welcomed into the Tower upon her landing, and in short order she's in the lobby of the building. "Someone will be by to see you soon," the security promises her.

Indeed she's not left sitting at the coffee table long before the elevator lights buzz from the uppermost floors down to the lounge and 'ding' open. The redhead who steps off the lift is the definition of amazonian, standing well over six feet and managing to look like a bombshell even in regulation red scrubs and with her hair pulled casually back. She's in comfortable sneakers and her only jewelry is a pair of bracelets on her wrists that glitter with a hue too rich to be anything but gold.

"Hi, it's... Golden Eagle, right?" Caitlin says once she gets close. She extends a handshake and beams a smile. "I'm Dr. Caitlin Fairchild. Welcome to Titan's Tower. I hear you're looking to get on the list as prospect...?"

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
The costumed woman, who'd sat herself down to wait in the lobby, gets to her feet as Caitlin arrives, clearly recognizing that Cait's a 'somebody' here at the Tower. "Hi, yeah, Golden Eagle... that's me", she says, returning the smile and accepting the offered handshake. "...and, yeah, if that's a thing. I ran into Invincible out in New York City, and he suggested I drop by and check into it", she adds, putting her hands on her hips after the handshake's done. "He talked about having allies... and, well, yeah... that really makes sense to me, even if I've really mostly just done what I can to keep that area safe."

Caitlin Fairchild has posed:
"Invincible's good people," Caitlin says with an agreeable expression. The redhead beckons Yara to follow her to a little meeting room, which features four chairs, a small table, and wall-to-wall with posters, memorabilia, and pictures of the Titans. Caitlin can be see in the 'Founding Members' photo alongside the other original members, back when they were the -Teen- Titans.

"I'm glad you bumped into him. Please, have a seat, get comfortable. I'd like to hear more about you and your capabilities. And I'm not just talking 'powers'," she promises the other woman. "Nightwing doesn't have any powers and he's one of the best-established heroes on the East Coast. Uh, before we begin, can I get you something to eat, drink? Coffee, cocoa, a beignette...?"

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"I don't really drink coffee very often, but cocoa'd be great... or Dr Pepper", Golden Eagle replies as she follows in and sits down. "Uhm... well, what I have is powers, really. I don't know martial arts like Nightwing does... I'm strong, and I fly, and I'm bulletproof, and I can see really good... and I'm really quick -- that's about it, I guess?", she says with a shrug of her shoulders as she sits down.

Caitlin Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin takes a few moments to rummage in the fridge. She comes up with a cold Dr Pepper in one hand and what looks like a pre-packaged protein shake in the other. The can's set in front of Yara and Caitlin pops the can open with her thumb. The shake gets rattle to agitate it and Caitlin takes a few gulps before sitting down again.

"That's all good," she congratulates Yara. "Tough and quick is a nice combination to have." The redhead sets her hands in her lap, sitting with a impeccably correct posture. "But I mean like-- in general. I looked you up and you seem pretty new to the cape community. Not that there's anything wrong with that," she adds, hastily. "I'm wondering like... how you came up, what got you into protecting people. What you do besides punching bad guys," she says, and ventures an encouraging smile.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Golden Eagle, smiling brightly, pops open the can of soda to take a drink from it. "Yeah, I'm pretty new... started out a couple years back, actually, and ran into Spidey back then. I thought hard about it, though, and decided I needed to focus on finishing school, first, before trying to full-on hero it, again -- it was getting in the way and my grades were suffering. Of course, I'd have come out, again, if anything really big'd happened, but there wasn't ever that big an emergency, that I heard of -- so I'm only, just these days, getting back into it."

She ponders for a few moments, taking another sip of soda, before continuing. "...as for why... well, the man who had the powers before he gave them to me, he was a hero of mine, too. I promised him I'd carry on being a hero when he... when he passed away. "It's the right thing to do, anyway. If someone's got powers like the ones I've got, they *should* use 'em to help other people, not take advantage of them just for their own sake", she adds. Her voice did catch a bit when she spoke of the previous 'Golden Eagle' passing away, and she rather lacks a 'poker face'; whoever that man was, he was important to her, and she still feels his passing.

A quick search, later, would show that there was no other hero known as Golden Eagle with powers like hers. A little deeper of a dive into the search, extending into other countries, would reveal a hero with a similar costume and similar powerset in Mexico, active back during World War II, who went by the name 'El Augila Dorado', which translates to 'The Golden Eagle'.

Caitlin Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin is the sort of person who leaves her phone in her pocket when she's talking with someone face-to-face, so any furthur research will have to wait. No doubt, the Titan's AI is already collating data on the newcomer and her heroic lineage.

"I'm really sorry to hear that," Caitlin says with a wistful and sincere sympathy. "I know how it feels to lose family."

"And, I know the school-work-life-hero balance is a real struggle," she adds a beat later. "I'm finishing up my residency right now. Plus Titan stuff, and I'm a design engineer at Stark Industries, and, and, and," she says with a rueful smile. "That's one of the things that makes us different than the Avengers or the League. We're really a family here." She gestures at the wall with the current Titan Roster Group Photo on it. "It's the support network that really helps us thrive."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Golden Eagle nods. "I kinda hope I can tap into that support network, actually... Invincible said that having allies is important, and... well, I don't know if I could've done anything against that lava-thing that came up outta the ground, the other day, if he hadn't been around. If he hadn't been there to keep it busy, I wouldn't have had enough time to spray the water on it with the slide -- and it sure wouldn't have stayed still while I did", she says. "Lots of people could've got hurt, and lots of buildings would've got messed up, if he hadn't been in the area and helped me with it. I honestly don't think I could've stopped it, without his help."

Caitlin Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin listens to Yara carefully, rolling her head through a hesitant sort of nod. "I mean, that's what we do here," she agrees. "Stop bad guys, monsters, alien invasions. On a slow weekend, natural disasters." She ventures an encouraging smile.

"It's more than just allies, though," she clarifies. "Donna-- Troia and I, we're sisters. Adopted, I mean, I was adopted by the Amazons last year." Unconsciously Caitlin rubs at her bracelets, revealing some ugly purple scars they mostly conceal. "Cyborg got me into engineering. Starfire helped me figure out a fashion sense, even if it was mostly what -not- to wear," she admits with a resigned look. But there's a fondness to it as well. "Most of us live in the Tower, some even full-time. I've got a condo downtown and I still sleep here a few nights a week. It's ..." she purses her lips. "Well, like I said, we're family. Some vigilantes, they don't wanna do it that way, but others..." she splays her fingers at Yara encouragingly.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Golden Eagle is quiet for a bit, but eventually says, "I... don't know if I can show anyone who I really am -- I turn into the superhero, and look different as the 'normal' me. If people found out who I am when I'm not Golden Eagle... well, I have people I'm trying to keep safe with this whole secret identity thing I have going. I don't think I could live here, full time... or even part of the time..."

Caitlin Fairchild has posed:
"Nightwing still wears a mask around the Tower. So do all the current Robins," Caitlin explains to Yara. "I mean, for me and Gar, there wasn't much option for secrecy, we kinda stand out no matter where we go," she concedes. "So I'm not great with the secret-identity thing. But I understand how important it is to you, too."

She shifts very slightly in her chair, leaning forward a bit. "Eagle, listen-- that kind of trust? We know that's earned. We know how much it costs to /earn/ it," she promises the woman. "No one here's gonna judge you for masking up, even among us. Everyone's got their own reason for doing things the way they do and the point of this team, this /family/, isn't just to fight evil. It's to look out for each other."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Golden Eagle nods, taking another sip from the can of soda. "Would I *have* to live out here in Metropolis? I'd kinda like to stay in New York, if I gotta be honest...", she wonders aloud. "Oh, can I ask what kinda powers you have? I've seen you on the news, before... but all I know is that you're strong and tough. Is there more?", she asks.

Caitlin Fairchild has posed:
"My place is in Brooklyn," Caitlin reassures Eagle. "Commuting to the Tower is definitely a thing. And it's not like you have to rush into a full commitment or anything, we're not a cult," she says, and flashes a dimple-cheeked smile. "We've got people who are active residents, allies, friends, even some reservists out there. The Tower is what you make it to be. Nothing more, nothing less."

"As for me, I mean yeah I've got the classic bruiser abilities," she explains. "But a lot of what I do here is keeping the Titans healthy and happy. I'm... an engineer, I'm a scientist, I'm gonna be a MD soon," she says, plucking at her scrubs. "It's not about how big of a punch you can throw, around here. Not all the time, anyway."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Golden Eagle grins a little. "I... haven't really decided what I want to study in college, yet. Just working on the basics, so far. Maybe something with computers, programming or security", she says. She then glances out of the little conference room. "Do I get to see more of this place, or is that for another time, like if the team decides they want me around here?", she questions.

Caitlin Fairchild has posed:
"We can get you a guest pass," Caitlin assures Yara. She looks up at the security camera, waves at it and points at Yara. "Guest pass," she says again, with deliberate emphasis. "That will get you into the lobby, our lounge area, the roof, that sort of thing. It won't let you go to the labs or the medical levels, so don't worry about hitting the wrong button and getting off in a restricted zone," she reassures Yara. "I'll let people know we've got a guest and you can mill around, say hello, and come and go whenever you like. I would definitely recommend getting to talk to people one-on-one," she suggests. "It will give you a better sense of what we're about." She stands up and beams a megawatt smile, and offers Yara a handshake. "Welcome to Titan's Tower, Golden Eagle."

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Golden Eagle stands and returns the handshake. "Thanks", she says. "I appreciate it, Caitlin. I hope I get a chance to meet some folks, soon", she adds, with a smile. "... am I allowed to land on the roof, too, next time I come by?", she asks as she and Caitlin leave the meeting room...
