Monet St. Croix has posed:
It's currently some quiet time over in the Mansion's Rec Room. Monet has a few papers in front of her. They're rather dry ones - corporate liscencing, patents, and stock records. She's scanning through them rapidly, occasionally going to shift to check a small tablet as well. She seems rather engrossed.

Yukio has posed:
What better use of down time then to practice some more singing with the awesome karaoke machine in the rec room, which Yukio pretty much skips towards with joy, pink wireless mic in hand.

But then she walks through the door and spots Monet already there, doing what looks like busy work, she casually slips the mic into the pocket of her jacket, looking at Monet quietly to see if she disturbed her.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would glance over at Yukio and fold her hands together. She would evaluate Yukio for a few moments and then gesture at her with a 'go ahead'. "You have a rather unique combination of lifestyles." Ninja and Pop Star.

"How did such a circumstance come to be?"

Yukio has posed:
"Eh to...," Yukio murmurs as she looks a bit flustered towards Monet, offering a sheepish smile, as she notes, "I rive my life, as is, yes?" She tries to explain something she doesn't have a full hang on for herself, in a foreign language which adds to the ambiguity factor, "but also, I have self dreams, so...I do."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
With that particular idiom making it clear, M would switch to Japanese. "Yes, you do. As we each. So do tell me what someone with your.. Lifestyle has done coming to the Mansion? You don't seem to hav the musical style that would bring you to perform with Dazzler."

Yukio has posed:
"Oh, wow, you speak Japanese extremely well!" Yukio is quick to compliment Monet who seamlessly switches over to her native tongue when she notes Yukio's difficulty with English, "it's very impressive, thank you." She offers a bow with her thanks, and a genuine smile, "part of the reason I am here, if we're honest, is punishment...for wanting to be an Idol, you know what that is, right?"

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod, "I thought it would be easier to converse with you in your native language." she would give a nod. "Punishment from whom then?" She would inquire but not press on the matter. "Yes, I knwo what one is. Hence my curiousity if you were here for working with Ms. Blair."

Yukio has posed:
"It is very considerate of you, not many speak outside Japan, what makes you learn Japanese, if it's ok to ask?" Yukio does seem genuinely interested, edging a few steps closer to Monet. "My grandfather, he doesn't like my silly dreams. Logan-sama suppose to fix me, haha," she covers her mouth with the palm of her hand as she giggles at a very real situation. "Oh, it's great honor to get to meet Dazzler, of course, but I don't dream she would really want to work with me. I am just trying to learn, she is, number 1!"

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would shrug, "It is a language of business. Much of the technological sector and business goes through Japan. It is polite to learn about the culture of one that you do deals with. It makes it much simpler to grasp thier values and traditions." She would cock her head. "And how then was Logan supposed to teach you?"

Yukio has posed:
"Really? Just for business? Wow...I didn't realize people learn it for business, Japan is so small." Yukio grins, before losing that grin with the follow up question, "oh...well, he is harsh, grandfather said he will teach me what is important, and what is silly." She does seem to carry some guilt about her as she contemplates it.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod, "Japan and South Korea have an immense amount of money going through their technological and financial centers. At some point doing business wiht them is almost required." She would quirk her brow. "And that sounds rather suspect."

Yukio has posed:
"I'm afraid I'm not too well versed in business world, I thank you for the lesson," Yukio notes quietly, before moving to stand across from Monet, "if I did not want to become an Idol, I would still be in Japan, so...maybe punishment has a bright side too. I get to meet interesting people, learn about a new culture. It's cool!"

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Yukio is not directly replying to the question.. But still, M can at least grasp that her grandfather did not like the girl's dreams. And for some deluded reason thought /Logan/ could fix it. The expression on her face shows htis very, very clearly.

Yukio has posed:
Yukio notes the expression on Monet's visage, and notes, "I grew up with many stories of Logan-sama, so I imagine, expectation was, he could sway me better." She offers a little shrug, "it is difficult, wanting to respect your elders, but also wanting to live your life. You ever had this problem? Expectation from elders?"

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would cock her head, "Those that are worthy of it. Respect is something that is not to be given freely, no matter the position. No matter the stories that one has been told. One must prove worthy of respect in behavior and deeds. I do not grant it ot those that have not earned it."
