Cast of Characters: Mary Jane Watson, Jeanne-Marie Beaubier

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
It's one of those sorts of traveling exhibitions. One of the Aston Martins used from the 1970's movies is on display. It's been modified to have the full aesthetics of the classic car when it was used for filming. Props and everything. Standing around it were a circle of people dressed over like members of the cast in the era showing it.
And of course there is Mary Jane, stuffed over into the role that one expects of her in this sort of thing. Evening gown, trying her best British accent.. And totally unable to move in these heels.

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
For once Aurora wasn't part of an exhibition, and showed up as a guest, but upon recognizing a familiar face, heads towards Mary Jane with a friendly smile on her face. "Hi there stranger, what do they call you around these parts?" She is not quite dressed to blend in, just going about with pink flouncy shorts and a shoulderless yellow top, a pair of playful hearshaped sunglasses covering her eyes, despite being indoors.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson is trying very hard to not trip over in her heels and to spill out of the dress that's ridiculous over by her standards. "Hey Aurora!" Looking over with a 'please save me' expression. "If I have someone call me Pussy Galore one more time and then.." That might get Aurora giggling madly.

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
Aurora giggles as she looks at MJ, "they insisted on the extra tall heels?" She shakes her head, "glad I skipped on the gig, looks like torture," she then opens her eyes wide, inching closer, and whispering, "please say you're joking...people actually call you Pussy Galore?" And indeed, she cracks up as expected.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would groan, "I've worn ballerina slippers that had me less veritcal than this. I swear the only way you can move in them is if you have a wire holding you up." The models who can do so cleanly are clearly very, very crazed.
"I've had that pickup line used on me at least three times. In hte last hour. I'm sure you can guess how it goes. And I can't even hit them."

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
"That is something..." Aurora grins, "the worst part of these guys is you're supposed to smile and take it, there's some bad ones, last time I had a fan greet and meet I asked if we could enforce showers for people to be able to attend, that didn't go well..." she giggles again, and asks, "so what was the best pick up line? Couldn't all have been Pussy Galore, right?"

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would sigh, "Yes, and I have to make a quip back that's appropriate. I'm reasonably sure that most of these guys that think they're Sean Connery aren't remotely as smootha s they think they are. See?" S eh would gesture at Jeanne-Marie. "Hey Xenia, I'd have you Onnatop of me all night long."

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
Aurora giggles, "I guess this isn't the place for good ones, if you wanna have fun, tell them it's about Connery's eyebrows, not the words...see how they handle that one."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would smirk, "Well, that would require them being willing to listen. And I don't think that it'd get far with them. Besides, if I wanted to see someone do something with thier eyebrows, I'd want to have a Marx." Of the Groucho variety

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
"Mmmm...guys like listening to themselves more, don't they?" Aurora chuckles at MJ's observation. "Oh? What's that?" Aurora asks, clearly unfamiliar witht he Marx Brothers, a severe lapse in education.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would shake her head, "Never mind. You poor thing. They're among the first standup prop comics.." Right as another guy comes towards her.
"I'll definitely prop you up.." She would wince over in pain before putting a smile back on. "Hey there, you know the rules, don't touch the parts.."

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
"Oh...so funny stuff? I like comedians. Good ones at least." Aurora, who isn't on pay roll right now, just quips for MJ, "you know, there's nothing atttractive about someone walking up to you and shooting innuendos at you, attraction doesn't work like that."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would laugh, "Well, they're the classics. Marx Brothers were among some of the first vaudeville folks to make it big when things went to talkies. Sorry, when they were able to have audio in movies in the nineteen twenties and thirties. And.." She would look at the man.
"I'm afraid they haven't gotten that. So what brings you here, Aurora? Exploring or seeing if you can get one of the gadgets?"

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
"Oh, so like, ancient history, huh? You're pretty smart, MJ," Aurora genuinely looks impressed at the history knowledge MJ just shared casually. "Honestly, just wanted to see what I didn't get approved for...I tried for one of the gigs, but I guess I honestly couldn't do these heels like you do."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would shake her head, "I can't do these heels either. I don't think I've moved more than two or three inches at a time. And you're the saner one of us for having not tried. I think mos tof these girls will go on a killing spree as soon as their shift is done."

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
"At least you have good car props to lean on," Aurora offers with a 'look on the bright side' kind of smile. "I guess I don't know the lingo and attitude enough to pass, like the whole 60s spy vibe...it's cool, but like, so old."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
It's as the two are talking that a group of men walk in. All of them wearing very nice outfits. And carrying large machine guns. Everyone goes to move about as if they're just part of the exhibition giong on. Right as one of them goes to point the machine gun up in the air and fires several bullets. "All right everyone. Every-lady. Your money and everything you've got on you."

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
Aurora lets out a terrified shriek when some of the actors proved to be...well...not actors, she sinks down to a crouched position and whimpers, "god, I'm too beautiful to die..."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
And that has a -lot- of attention over on Aurora. And a lot of grinning, leering.. One of them goes to point his gun at her. "Well come on, pretty face.."
Mary Jane can't fight the men in this getup, and there are way too many guns. She goes to look about wildly.. The.. Car. The car. That was just restored..
She speaks very, very quietly, "Uh, Aurora, can you drive a stick shift?"

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
Aurora is in tears, and seems to have been paralyzed with fear to the point she doesn't respond to the man aiming a gun at her, but also doesn't respond to MJ asking her about driving stick. She clearly doesn't seem in a state to do anything right now, let alone drive, as she shakes her head while covering her face with both hands like a child trying to disappear, "please don't kill me, please don't...I don't want to die."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson looks over at Aurora and swears to herself. F***. "I guess we'll have to improvise." She goes to yank over with Aurora, going to jump up and over into the car as she goes to settle in behind the wheel, trying to figure out how to start.. Keytab, keytab.. Wait, she didn't have the keys, and the men were pointing their guns at her. Forcibly shoving her hand in, grabbing the knob, twisting it. Engine rumble. Not starting. The men advancing.

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
Aurora is no help at this point, terrified into a frozen state where she mostly whimpers pitifully about not wanting to die. But it does make it very easy for Mary Jane to yank her over with her into the car, as there's no resistance offered. While MJ struggles with trying to start the car she can only hope isn't just a prop at this point, Aurora remains curled into herself somewhat, whimpering, before the whimpering ends and she just remains frozen. One would think maybe she just accepted the fact she'll die today, but she remains very quiet, and very much still. Almost like someone turned her off if she was a robot.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
And Mary Jane looks over at Aurora worried. Even as her fingers go to twist the knob, the engine not turning over. "Work you ##!*#!'ing thing! WORK!" She goes to try and desperately get it to start. "Stupid piece of ##!!*" She goes to hammer over at it, hand hitting a switch in desperation to find something to jump start the engine..
She pushes a random toggle.. And then from the back of the block comes.. Steaks of oil? "Great, this thing isn't even in shape.." A couple of the men slip on it as another one goes to finally get pissed and open fire on the car!

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
At first Aurora remains frozen, and quiet, as MJ tries different buttons and discovers the oil release. But when actual gun shots are fired, there is only one shot, before MJ would feel a tremendous explosive gust right besides her, with Aurora no longer there.

Instead, it becomes clear the firing stopped because Aurora is has knocked the man with the weapon down. Though it's unclear how, because it's extremely unlikely anyone here was equipped with fast enough vision to register Aurora's burst of super speed, as she leaped out of the car and rammed the firing man to the ground with the kind of impact that likely leaves him with more than a few bones broken. He may need medical attention, but at least he won't be hurting anyone else.

Aurora is standing over him as he writhes in pain on the ground, in no shape to reach for the weapon that slipped from his grasp on impact. When Aurora speaks, Mary Jane at the very least may not she sounds nothing like herself, her voice being commading, sharp, and somewhat suggestive of her being capable of stuff she shouldn't be. "You have no business bringing guns to a museum," she states, "you have to the count of 10 to get out before I end all of you." She doesn't even look in the direction of the other criminals, her icy cold gaze locked on the poor man at her feet. "One, six," she starts her count, already skipping quite a few numbers.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Going desperately to try and keep the car in gear, Mary Jane is only peripherally aware of Aurora getting up as machine gun bullets ping over the car, denting it and striking along the frame as she desperately tries to get the thing working. Then wide eyed as Aurora goes to just /smash/ the man over to the ground. Her eyes go wide as she looks over at Aurora in.. Surprise.

The men go to stare overa t Aurora.. Or whomever it is.. And move to just go to open fire on her! And Mary Jane gets an impression.. She knows full well what it's like when posture changes, when mannerisms change, when tone of voice does. And what acting is. This isn't acting.

Even as the count goes to 'ten' the men are going to open fire!

And the car still does not start.

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
The problem with trying to do something against someone who is faster than the bullets you fire at them, is you don't get to fully understand their advantage over you until it's too late. The man who decided to open fire at Violet, finds to their horror they are actually firing at one of their partners, as Violet simply was gone in a blink to snatch one, and bring into the line of fire, and by the time the man could react he was already being shot to death by his partner.

"Nothing worse than working with backstabbers," Violet scoffs, "last chance to escape with your lives...unless you wanna shot your own people some more?" Another blink of an eye, and one moment she's there, the next, she's there with all the weapon she ripped from the arms of the thugs. She really does move faster than the eye can see, and now they are left weaponless.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
She moves faster than Mary Jane can track. Can see. She's worked -with- speedsters before so she at least has an inkling of knowing what's up. The men all stare over at her and yell. THere's enoughc haos over at them they each begin to move to get ready to fire with Aurora having them all positioned..
She calls out, "Aurora, stop! Please!" She knows very well that the men will fire, and that they can't remotely hurt her. And she'll finish them.

Jeanne-Marie Beaubier has posed:
Violet makes short work of the idiots who decided to linger still, but does seemingly let those who decide to escape get away. At least for now.
When MJ calls her by Aurora's name, she ignores her completely, like she doesn't know who that person is. "I think that's enough of a head start," she comments to herself, and then zooms out of the museum to nail those who thought she let them escape. She does leave the weapons behind for the police to confiscate.
