Personality

Extroverted:
Aurora trait: Aurora is one of the most outgoing people you can possibly happen across, she'll easily start a conversation with a total stranger or inject herself into a conversation others are holding simply because she took interest in something she overheard. She really is quite shameless in regards to doing what she wants, even if it goes against what is appropriate according to public etiquette; she likes meeting new people, and likes to have fun. Basking in attention is also something she enjoys.

Flirtatious:
Aurora trait: Aurora is an opposite of the repressed Jeanne-Marie, she's carefree and bold. Aurora will openly flirt with any guy she happens to lay her eyes upon simply because she can, she will also not mind attention from men while she's dressed daringly, because she thrives on the attention. It's a twofold benefit, keeps Jeanne-Marie away, and is quite fun, and Aurora loves having fun. It's part of why she's been so successful in her relatively young modelling career, she knows how to flirt and be fun loving with the right people, and people tend to be charmed by her. Now how healthy that trait can be to a healthy relationship remains to be seen, albeit her modelling agent love the fact she's single, it just sells and promotes better.

Introverted:
JM trait: A shy and timid person, Jeanne-Marie usually keeps to herself, she finds it hard to approach others and doesn't have much of a social life. It's not that she will not go out to a cafe or reading in the park with fresh air, but she's concerned that leaving one's household opens the door for the devil's temptations, which she is diligent eager to resist.

Pious:
JM Trait: Jeanne-Marie has been raised in Madame DuPont's School for Girls, a school that seemed to have been drawn out of an older century. The nuns at the school preached the Catholic religion and the girls were punished heavily for misbehaving or exhibiting sinful thoughts. Through her great suffering developed her DID, it also wound up making Jeanne-Marie a truly pious person. She believes in god as a devout Catholic, and truly believes that those who do not abide by what the bible teaches are destined to eternal damnation. While some people will find her unbearable, there are also those who would respect her for being so faithful to her religion. There are after all some good sides to the religion, such as caring for those less fortunate, helping your neighbor, doing what you can to make the world a better place.

Repressed:
JM trait: As a result of her upbringing in Madame DuPont's School, Jeanne-Marie is a woman who frowns upon flirting, provocative dress, and worst of all the idea of sex outside of wedlock. She wouldn't even consider looking at a man not decently dressed. For her women who go out clubbing in scandalous outfits to try and tempt men are harlots, and the men who encourage such behaviours are sinners. Naturally, Jeanne-Marie dresses in a puritan manner, and expects the same of her others. Jeanne-Marie would have no qualms about criticizing people she considers immoral and wanton.

Character Sheet

Powers

Calming Lights:
An application of her photokinesis powers, Jeanne-Marie is able to generate a soothing light over a limited area to calm down people. It could easily be resisted by someone intent on being angry, but if someone wasn't actively trying to resist, they'd find the light gradually making them feel calmer, almost like a light therapy of sorts.

Concussive Blasts:
Jeanne-Marie is able to use her photkinesis ability to fire concussive blasts projectile of photonic energy. It can damage vehicle and armor, and can prove lethal to normal humans. It is likely that with training she could learn to control this ability to varying uses, but with how much she hides the fact she has powers, the use tends to be more powerful and uncontrolled.

Durability:
As she uses her powers, Jeanne-Marie is exposed to powerful friction, air turbulence and massive G-Force. Luckily, her mutation also equips her body with the durability to handle it all. While she stands still, she has normal human durability, but when she's moving at high speeds, she becomes like a powerful projectile tearing through what's in her path without harm. That's how she can fly at Mach 10 without harm, but she has to be wary of that if she's carrying someone and limit her speed to 60MPH to avoid harm to them. Another side effect of the power is that she's more comfortable in colder and hotter temperatures where others might suffer. She can handle being in the North Pole without a coat and just feel chilly, as well as withstand 100 C without finding it unbearable.

Flashbang:
When Jeanne-Marie and her twin brother Jean-Paul maintain any form of physical contact, they generate a powerful 1,000,000 candela brilliant light, matching if not surpassing a lighthouse, and temporarily blinding anyone in their vicinity, forcing them to close their eyes or incapacitating them should they catch them off guard. It's a tremendous crowd control ability that might turn the tide of a large scale battle, or tear apart a riot, of course they'll need to find out about each other and discover the ability first. Good luck to anyone present in a first handshake.

Flight:
This is the power Jeanne-Marie accidentally discovered when she tried to take her life, but is also the one Aurora has the most expertise with, having used it for thrills when she was sure nobody could see. The highest speed she clocked so far is Mach 10, but a scientific mind might theorize she could attain faster speeds. That said, she normally flies far from her max in her flights of frolics, after all not being an active superhero, she mostly uses her powers for recreation.

Metabolism:
Jeanne-Marie's mutation made her physiology adjust to her powers, so she's developed an accelerated metabolism. It allows her to heal at a quarter of the time it takes a normal person. She can recover from full exhaustion surprisingly fast. She can eat a lot more than anyone would expect without seeming to gain weight. She can outlast some serious alcohol drinkers in drinking contests as it would take greater amounts to break through her accelerated metabolism. It's no immunity though, if she were to drink Asgardian stuff, or drink with the best of them, she likely would fail. This power certainly helped her survive the hedonistic hard-partying life style of the Aurora in her.

Photokinesis:
When Jeanne-Marie uses her powers, her body generates photons that make her glow and emit heat. There are many applications be they concussive blasts of light, dazzling strobe effects for crowd control, calming lights for crowd control, or the most powerful form that she can only achieve when holding physical contact with her twin brother, Jean-Paul Beaubier. While each will be described in their own entry, for the most part, when she uses her powers she radiates light at about 500,000 candela, making her very obvious and not at all fit for covert operations.

Super Reflexes:
Capable of operating in astounding speeds, Jeanne-Marie is fittingly able to react at such speeds as well. Capable stopping and turning on a dime, evading projectiles like bullets and even plucking them from the air as they almost seem still compared to the speeds she's moving.

Super Speed:
Jeanne-Marie shares the chief power of super speed with her twin brother Jean-Paul Beaubier. Able to reach as fast as Mach 10 in Earth's atmosphere. Her potential may well be at the speed of light, but if it were ever put to the test, it would need to be in the vacuum of space.

She can use speed to deliver tremendous fists and kicks much stronger than she really is thanks to the speed of delivery. Or she could delivery hundred of punches in the span of a second. If she were to ram someone at great speed it might feel like being hit by the Hulk, rather than Aurora

She can run fast enough to cross a body of water, or run up a building, or even clear a burning building from potential victims before the fire can even spread out.

Telepathic Resistance:
While not a power, Jeanne-Marie's fractured dissociated mind, is like a sophisticated Chinese puzzle for a telepath to work through. While they are accustomed to work on one mind, hers is an emulation of several minds for the several alters that share her single body. Someone who isn't an expert telepath may erroneously miss the fact and treat all he finds as a single person, which will render any manipulation done erratic, to the point of affecting Jeanne-Marie while Aurora is fronting, rendering the effort moot. Someone experienced like Professor Xavier may actually understand the depth of the problem, and be more able to affect the various alters as he pleases.

Skills

Academics:
Aurora & Jeanne-Marie skill: While Jeanne-Marie certainly suffered in Madame DuPont's School for Girls, she also got some very good education while there, even if it was very deeply focused on giving a religious perspective to everything. She measures rather well to people who went to secular public or private schools, and can easily be considered an educated person. Jeanne-Marie does tend to seem more educated than Aurora, but the latter might just be playing dumb to appear more attractive, who knows.

Aerobatics:
Aurora skill: To Jeanne-Marie her flight ability was a miracle, but to Aurora it was freedom. That is why out of all of Aurora's powers, she enjoys flight the most. Soaring the air, testing top speeds, pushing ever faster and trying impressive aerial maneuvers is the very definition of freedom for Aurora. It's the one power she makes sure to use whenever she has a chance, when she feels nobody is seeing, and she relishes the thrill. She desperately wishes to impress someone with her skills one day.

Bilingual:
Aurora & Jeanne-Marie skill: having spent her entire life in the French speaking Quebec province of Canada, Jeanne-Marie is first and foremost a native French speaker, fluent and comfortable in the language. She has learned English as part of her studies at Madame DuPont's School, but she is not comfortable with the language, and has a distinct French-Canadian accent when she speaks. Aurora on the other hand, while every bit as capable in French, tends to keep to English if she can manage, and doesn't have too much of an accent, almost as if willing herself to perfect English to distance herself from Jeanne-Marie.

Dancing:
Aurora skill: As a professional party girl, and partaker of fun extraordinare, Aurora is very much in her element when she's at a club partying, through the many times spent just dancing, flirting and having a good time she's become a rather proficient dancer. She won't be going to dancing competitions anytime soon, but she can impress with her moves on the dance floor. Her intuition when it comes to pleasing postures and dance moves has also helped along her modelling career.

Fashion:
Aurora skill: Aurora cares very much for her looks and makes sure to update constantly on the latest fashion, in clothing and makeup, she likes to strike poses and steal the attention wherever she can. Aurora doesn't feel good unless she can sway the attention towards herself, she wants to be noticed, she wants to be showered with flattery. In a way it is almost as if Aurora is doing things specifically to upset Jeanne-Marie. It helped her getting scouted for modelling, and it helped her do well, despite all of her gossipped about issues.

Seduction:
Aurora skill: While Jeanne-Marie is introverted, timid and shys away from attention, Aurora is absolutely outgoing, charming and playfully adores engaging in flirtation as a pastime activity. Aurora loves to be the center of attention, but more than that, she loves to be the center of attention of guys. She always feels better to have guys vying for her, but isn't always kind to those who do. She is self-centered, and her charming flirtatious nature is a combination of her extroverted personality along with her egotistic desire to be loved and appreciated. If she sets her mind to it, she could likely win the attention of most guys she desired, and the skill served her well in breaking into the modelling business.

Resources

Fame:
Aurora res: maybe she's not a big name like the super models out there, but Aurora has amassed for herself enough thirsty following in social media, people who eager for her updates and flirty pictures she shares from break time in shoots and clubbing, that she does get recognized here and there, and could probably get some perks for herself if she really wanted. Nothing mind blowing, but getting a table at a packed restaurant, cutting the line for a club, and small things of that nature.

Fashion Industry Contacts:
Aurora res: while Aurora has some bad rep as a party-hard girl who doesn't shy from recreational drugs and heavy drinking on her nights out clubbing, aside from rumored incidents that some tabloids swear are truth, she for the most part has a good rep with most businesses that hired her. When she's on, she lights up a room, has a solid social media following and brings her own fans, and will generally be a good promoter. As a result she has contacts in the fashion industry, some people who are supporter and will fight for her (though they haven't an inkling a lot of the tabloids' gossip isn't as made up as they think), and if she needed some help in a rainy day, she ultimately could get some help from some people of means and influence.

Weaknesses

Did:
The most notable fact about Jeanne-Marie is the dissociative identity disorder she developed while suffering abuse at Madame DuPont's School for Girls. While it may not be apparent to one who only hangs around her for a short time, when one has a chance to be with her for a prolonged time, her condition sooner or later reveals itself. Certain triggers may promote a switch in which alter happens to front the body and be in control.

Each alter considers themselves an entirely different person from the other, it's as though they don't realize they share the same body and mind. One moment Aurora could be flirting with someone at a club, and the next morning Jeanne-Marie could slap the very same person because he somehow snuck in her bed.

Usually when the dominant personality shifts, it's as if she just regained consciousness after fainting and has no clear awareness of what took place while she was out. This may lead to some unpleasant situation, and may bring people to determine that Jeanne-Marie is simply nuts.

Notable alters:

Jeanne-Marie: the original, devout Christian, repressed, introvert.

Aurora: recent primary alter, fun loving, extrovert, daring, flirtatious, shameless.

Violet: protector/avenger, serious, somber, anger towards bullies and abusers, tends to surface when actual life threatening situation appear or an abuser has been spotted.

Rora: child alter, timid, friendly, mistrusting adults, tends to surface when feeling helplessness or when spotting new toys.

Alexis: male alter, calm and collected, confident, may surface around undesired attention.

Anne: persecutor alter, while rarely fronting at all, this alter leads to occasional self harm, guilt and bad decisions. It very rarely shows of late because Aurora has been the primary for a few years, and is best suited to ignore her.

OOC Note: comics often portray DID flippantly, as a trope, or without much research. I intend to attempt a serious take on a very real issue, and present it as realisticly as I'm able. For the most part Jeanne-Marie and Aurora are shown as the only two personalities, with the occasional rollercoaster of 13 or so personalties Norman Osborne encountered when he tried to mess with Aurora's mind. I've tried to introduce a balanced set of alters per average DID cases, with the predominant alter types, that said expect Aurora to front the majority of the time, with Jeanne-Marie second, the other alters noted may show as triggers necessitate but the intention is not to switch on whim for the sake of doing so.

Elfin Ears:
While not overly pronounced and many may miss the fact if her hair is styled to cover her ears, Jeanne-Marie has somewhat pointy elfin ears, some may consider it beautiful, other may think it means she's a mutant, despite the fact she hasn't exhibited powers of any kind. At least from a modelling perspective it gave her a unique enough look, some people surmise she did it to herself just to distinguish herself.

Glowing Presence:
Every time she uses her powers, Jeanne-Marie generates photons that make her glow brightly. The more of her powers she uses, the faster she moves, the brighter she shines. This glowing aura makes her easy to spot, unless she moves at her higher speeds and appears like a streak of light. Needless to say, even if she tried to be a superhero at some point, she wouldn't be able to pull subterfuge operations.

Nyctophobia:
Aurora weakness: While it may seem unlike for the light powers she has, Aurora suffers from nyctophobia--fear of the dark--and one could easily bring her to her knees by surrounding her in darkness. She can try and calm herself with the glowing aura she generates when using her powers, she can try and use her photokinesis powers, but the more she is surrounded in darkness, the more likely Aurora is to give way to Jeanne-Marie, more often then note she tends to be paralyzed with fear when engulfed in complete darkness. There may have been a tabloid that came out with a story that Aurora fears the dark like a child, but those are usually discard for sensationalized dumb article of zero substance.

Self Loathing:
Jeanne-Marie weakness: Some people tend to feel like they hate themselves, whether for past decisions they regret, things they have done they are ashamed of or any other reason. In Jeanne-Marie's case, she truly does hate herself. More precisely, Jeanne-Marie thinks Aurora is someone the devil made to torment her, and Aurora thinks Jeanne-Marie is some ice witch that only exists to ruin her relationships and pull pranks on her that make her snap out of slumbers wearing the worst clothes imaginable. So while it is essentially Jeanne-Marie and Aurora that hate one another, considering they are the same person, it is a much deeper level of self loathing. This is all egged on by the persecutor alter, Anne, who likes to produce surface thoughts about the failures that the system accomplished as a whole. It just so happens the original is the easiest to attack.

Selfish:
Aurora weakness: While Jeanne-Marie is timid, humble and quiet, Aurora is proud, loud and boastful. So it is only natural that Aurora is very sincerely devoted to her own person. While she likes to frolic, flirt, and pursuit hedonistic pleasure, anything and everything Aurora does is centered around her own happiness. She cares very little for others and can be very cruel, not out of choice, but because she only wants things to go her way and doesn't care so much for the needs of others. She can be that shallow.
