Mary Jane Watson has posed:
It's at the subway station. Mary Jane Watson has just been traveling over on it and looks generally exhausted. There's a bit of soot over on her face, and hse's wearing a mostly threadbare black dress that looks like it was put through a woodchipper and is mostly hanging on by some threads and tape. She's carrying in a hand two ridiculous looking heels that look like something more from Heavy Metal than anything else. Her feet are wearing sneakers, her hair is all frizzed, and she has a purse slung over by her side. She's just gotten off the subway and is stretching out and glancing about for a food cart or something along those lines.

Cain Marko has posed:
Taking the subway can be a tense, stiffling experience. Lots of strangers, little space, and you never know when some freak is going to do something. But there's a way to get around that problem. Just be big and strong enough that nobody can really mess with you. Simple. It's not the most busy right now, just a scattering of people. And one really large guy lumbering his way towards the subway car at a leisurely pace. Cain is wearing normal clothes. People tend to panic and run if he walks around in the armor. Mostly ignoring those around him as he moves. He notices the redhead in the torn up dress and ash, steps pausing and a brow raising as he looks her over appraisingly. That seemed a little off.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would take a moment to turn over to notice Cain. Ther'es no particular recognition over in her eyes of him - when he's not at full scale he doesn't stand out that much in a city that's had ongoing powered people shenanigans for however many decades. Looking dwon at herself and realizing what he's curious about she just says. "Uh.. Robbery where someone exploded all of the gunmen. There was a lot of fire and smoke from it. No one was hurt other.." She errs. "Than the gunmen, who don't have enough left of them to be qualified as hurt."

Cain Marko has posed:
The big man grunts a little at that explanation. "Well. That sorta thing happens in this town. So did they explode them with their mind or use actual explosives?" His voice is remarkably deep. Down in the lower end of what people can actually register. Gravelly and rough. He glances at the train. Not leaving yet. So he doesn't move away from the unknown redhead. Gingers have to stick together or something, right? "I take it they were holding up some ball or something."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would shake her head over, "Uh.. Well.. A powered being was there that when they started shooting went around running and putting htem in the path of their own bullets when they were firing on full auto." She doesn't look freaked out over that - someone in the city has long since become innured to that sort of thing, ghastly as it was. "They were trying to rob people at a museum exhibition."

Cain Marko has posed:
Cain grimaces at that description. "Ah. One of those fast ones. Those are really annoying." Yeah, cause what looks like just some common thug knows a lot about dealing with superpowered people. He scratches at his chin with a finger. "Museums do seem popular for some types to try and rob. Almost a status thing. I take it they didn't get away with it this time, what with the bullets and the exploding and stuff. Thems the breaks." He looks her over again. "I take it you're a native New Yorker then since you only look mildly traumatized."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would nod and wince, "Yes. I'm pretty sure it was someone who could move really fast. They were.. Clearly willing to do that first to take them all out and had no worries on doing it. They gave the.. Attackers one or two warnings, one of which was accompanied by them shoving one of them into bullets." She's not terrified of it - mostly by her expression aghast that someone was willing to kill so many people so casually. "And not native, just been here long enough I have a tolerance for weirdness."

Cain Marko has posed:
Cain shrugs a shoulder. "You decide to do crime in New York, that's a risk you gotta run. Maybe somebody'll wrap you in super-rubber or something and hand you over to the cops. Maybe some guy'll put a bullet between your eyes. Never know." Not that he really had to worry about the latter personally. He gives her one last look then says, "You seem like you could use a shower. So I'll let you get back to where you're gettin back to. Watch out for weirdos in costumes, lady." He raises an oversized hand in a wave, then strolls onto the subway car. He doesn't help with the crowding any.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would sigh, "Pretty much. It's not something that you can get away from. If you can't handle it, you have to go out of the city and move somewhere safer. Like Bludhaven. or Hub City. Or Detroit." She would deadpan and take a breath. "Pretty much. Soon as I get some food and I go home and then I crash and yell at my agent that he'd better not dump me in something like this again."
