Cast of Characters: Natasha Romanoff, Ikaris, Bruce Banner

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
She had been reviewing the summations of the data taken from the Savage Land. What little they had on those ancient computers from whatever aliens that had constructed them that maintained the location from the melee in the jungle with the Brood that had been resolved months ago. As with all updates ,there was little of use. So Natasha Romanova would shuffle the data-tablets back to a bag, touching the side of them to have them lockdown and encrypt themselvs as she did so.

Ikaris has posed:
Ikaris knew...

It was time.

The Eternals have been in hiding for too long. They had occasionally helped others throughout history, but often were just meant to observe and report. His eyes were ever watchful of the course of human events...but the only way to be fully prepared for the coming of the age is to make himself known to the Avengers.

So does Ikaris soar through the skies, shattering the sound barrier as he pushes his normal resting speeds. It's only for a moment, but Natasha can hear something coming. Something fast.

If she looks up, she can see Ikaris, dressed in what amounts to a 'super suit' of sorts. He wears blue and gold armor in strange, alien formations and symbols. It looks more like armor than an outfit. Slowly, he descends towards the front lawn of the Avengers HQ, until his feet are just slightly hovering off of the ground.

"Hello."

His voice is accented, notably Scottish, though his expression is serious and in his eyes lies the years of the centuries.

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha was busy putting the data-slates away over in a bag slung over her shoulder right when someone comes flying through the air rather magestically. Her hand goes over to her pistol, ready to fast draw it to aim over at the individual. THere wasn't any immediate signs of hostility from him so she would relax. No signs of alarm or injury - he didn't seem to be coming here to announce some grand threat was coming. He wasn't being aggressive or threatening in posture, which meant he wasn't likely here to level the place or to start to monologue.

"Greetings. I don't believe we've met. Could you have called ahead for an appointment or is this more of a spur of the moment event?" She would inquire to Ikaris, glancing up at him and evaluating him. Displayed powers - flight so far. Likely enhanced strength. The armor.. Technological in nature, unfamiliar. "And what should I call you by then?"

Ikaris has posed:
"I don't have your phone number."

Ikaris states then as his feet finally touch the ground, slowly and a bit stifly approaching Natasha in a way that's similar to a march. Yet, despite a fist or an attempt to kill her, he lifts his hand to gesture towards her: a handshake offer.

"Ikaris."

He hums. "Or if you prefer the human variant: Ike Harris."

"So I suppose this is a 'spur of the moment' event. But, I come bearing no ill news. Only that I would like to inquire about membership of the Avengers."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanova would quirk her brow over at Ikaris, "We're listed over in various directories, however, I will admit that the system is managed by artiicial intelligence and mostly streamlined as necessary." She's reasonably sure that all calls from reporters are automatically declined for a start.

She goes to offer up her hand. "Well then, Ikaris.. Please do tell me about yourself. I presume you haven't flown too close to the sun and lost your wings." It wasn't pronounced quite teh same way but the joke was still there.

"I've not seen you in our database, so please do summarize. Membersip will generally be passed along through the team to discuss and vote on, so the more information we have the better."

Ikaris has posed:
Ikaris doesn't laugh.

Either the joke lands completely flat or Ikaris doesn't have too much of a sense of humor. He shakes her hand deftly, and then lets his hand fall back to his side. He's almost robotic, or too soldier-like. But he tries all the same to be approachable and friendly.

"I'm a member of Homo Immortalis. What could be called in the common tongue as 'Eternal'. I am not the only one, but among the few who have taken to residence on Earth. For 50,000 years we have watched and protected you all as a species, though only in times of great import when you could not defend yourselves."

He meets Natasha's eyes then, though says little more. He's certain she has questions. For a guy who is 50,000 years old, he looks /maybe/ 30, 35?

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
That takes Natasha over by surprise. For just a flicker of a second, as Ikaris goes to identify himself to her, her eyes widen by just a few degrees. They go back to normal almos tinstantly - if one is not familiar with her or has enhanced senses, then they wouldn't pick up on it.

"I.. See." Her tone is cautious but interested. "You would then bring a rather.. Unique perspective over to the team." She's met ancient beings that looked normal - there's nothing particularly unusual about that. The part of her that assesses and evaluates circumstances takes in his body posture, language, the confidence he hodls himself in. While searching through her mind for any remote references she could recall on the 'Eternals'.

Bruce Banner has posed:
Bruce makes his way to the first floor. He has a clip board in hand and is studying something intensely. How the good doctor doesn't fall down the steps is anybody's guess,"No, that math doesn't work." he mutters softly.

Once he is on the main floor he looks up just long enough to see if anyone is around. One familiar face, one less so. He offers a nod towards the pair and doesn't interrupt their conversation.

Ikaris has posed:
"Unique indeed."

Ikaris isn't unaware that having that much knowledge and experience will be a great benefit. He has deep knowledge of history and certain events, even those that are not of common knowledge. He holds supreme confidence in himself without bordering into arrogance. He is not here to bring a fight. But, he does meet her eyes and before he opens his mouth to speak, his eyes dart towards Bruce Banner.

Recognition in his eyes.

"Hello."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
The approach of Bruce has Natasha shift slightly. "Doctor Banner, a pleasure. This is a.. New applicant for the team that's said he's.." She would quickly repeat what Ikaris had just said, a quick gesture in her eyes a query - was this legitimate? If anyone would know what exactly Ikaris was or had at least heard of it, she expected Bruce would. Sure, his doctorate was in physics rather than pan-human genetics, but everyone expected all super brain types to know everything.

Bruce Banner has posed:
When they address him, he pauses. He might be a little surprised or just a pause and trying to process. He puts the clip board to his side and walks towards them.

He nods to the man and replies,"Hello."

His attention moves to Natasha and he listens to what she describes. His left eyebrow raises a little and he nods,"I have heard a little, but not a great deal. What I know is mostly rumor, but from what you have said it seems a good possibility."

Ikaris has posed:
Ikaris rests his eyes on Dr. Banner.

"Dr. Banner...the Hulk." Ikaris turns to face him. "In all of my years I've never seen or heard of someone of your destructive potential. It makes me feel a bit more calm to know that you are with the Avengers." He tells him with a soft smile. Though he tilts his head. "You've heard rumor of my kind? That pleases me greatly. Then you must know why the majority of us must remain hidden, for the work we do is important."

Defending the world for the world's own sake. Placed by the Celestials near the dawn of the world's origin.

...often with and against the Gods themselves at various points in history. "Though to delve into what and who I am will take a great deal of time."

Natasha Romanoff has posed:
Natasha Romanova would quirk a brow over at Ikaris, "That's a rather.." Her tone is defensive of Bruce and irritation. The words not expressed by the attitude is 'rude' from the way her body l anguage shifts over.

"And what then would your kidn be charged with that so long needs you to keep a secret so tightly held?" She would express the phrase badly and broadly. Seeing how willing Ikaris was to talk now and if he would elaborate. Hopefully he was just as prone to prattle on as Janet was about her latest drink.

Bruce Banner has posed:
Bruce isn't easily offeneded and doesn't seem as though he should be on this situation anyway. He manages to shake his head and sigh,"The other guy is a force of nature without a doubt." he agrees. The other man is regarded for a moment of thougtful silence,"You would be among a small number of people relieved that I exist in general, let alone as an Avenger." he admits.

He shrugs and admits,"I don't know a lot, but I did have to take a few classes for my various degrees to fulfill the necessary hours to get the degree. History, mythology, and some disciplines of sociology referenced people that I managed to piece together over time and point towards your people."

He is curious about Nat's question so he quiets some to hear what Ikaris has to say. He understands better than most the need for secrecy and the fall out of not being about to keep it.

Bruce Banner has posed:
While he seems interested in how the two are interacting, there is something about Bruce that will over power anything else. Science. His phone chirps at him and he looks at it. A soft curse slips out of his mouth and he turns and all but runs back into the mansion for some reason, no warning and no explinaion.
