Bunny Macleod has posed:
Welcome to the Burrow Apartment. This is where Bunny will live. Underneath the Bar she plays at, the place is dark, and low, but clean, the basement room that once was a pool room (for billards) now set up for a large but fairly spartan apartment. Bunny's already had a delivery of some second hand furnature, but as the apartment's access was too narrow to get a couch down through, she's opted for the Fully Modable Sectional Experience -- a lot of ottomans.

Upon which she is currently crashed out, curled up under a bright pink blanket with a bunny pattern on it (obviously an Easter item), wearing one of Mark's T-shirts that she borrowed from him.

Mark Grayson has posed:
There's a text on Bunny's phone.

Mark: Coming down!

As he comes downstairs, he opens the door. In one hand, he has a bucket with cleaning supplies. In the other? A bag from Shake Shack. He's trying to balance the two shakes that he ordered as well with the cleaning supplies and holding pretty steady at the moment.

He's wearing a black t-shirt, plain, and a pair jeans. The only adorment on the shirt is a small button.

No to HR-485.

His way of supporting Bunny's and other mutants from being forced to take the so-called cure. He pauses, seeing Bunny out on the couch. A smile touches his lips as he sets down the food in the kitchen and the cleaning supplies on the floor.

Making his way over to her, he bruskes back some of her pink hair and places a kiss against her temple. Just to let her know he's there.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Zzsburbll... mrrr?" Bunny snorts ungracefully as she straightens up a little, hair all akimbo and going all over the place, wearing Mark's T-shirt, and she titls her head, looking to Mark, and then looking around the apartment, and she seems to click in her brain that she's awake, this is an apartment, she's living in it, and Mark's there.

"hiiiiii mmmmamrk." she states sleepily, and she swings her legs over. She's wearing pink pajama pants covered with cookies. "... did I give you a key? or the code? Ugh. Is there a key or is it just the code?" she pauses, sniffing the air "... breakfast?" she questions, and then just sort of slumps forward. Half onto Mark.

    "Tiiired. So much moving things."

Mark Grayson has posed:
"Yeah, you had quite a bit." Mark responds. "I don't think you gave me a key or code. I asked the guys upstairs if they'd let me in, since they knew I was your boyfriend."

When she slumps against him, his fingers brush down her back, comforting her. "Lunch, actually." he explains. "Picked us up some burgers and shakes. Not much for a first meal in your new place, but I doubt you wanted to cook."

He pauses, as he considers her. "But if you're still tired, I can put the food in the fridge and come back later so you can get more rest."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny continues to just make happy sounds at having her back brushed down, because who doesn't like having human touch, and then she laughs, and rolls onto her back, looking up at Mark with a grin.

"Burgers and shakes are a *perfect* first meal for Bunny's Barrow Burrow." she replies, and stretches out her arms.

"What kinna burgers did you get? Do you want any cash for it, since we're *supposed* to go Dutch, or are you gonna fight me on it?" she asks with a grin.

Mark Grayson has posed:
"I got a couple of Shackburgers and chocolate shakes." Mark says, poking Bunny's belly before he rises to his feet to go into the kitchen to retrieve the food. "How about you provide the meal next time and we'll call it good?" he suggests to her.

Even if this is really putting him 2-0 on the dinner date board.

Fetching the bag and pulling the shakes out of the fridge, he comes over to her, and sets down the food. "I sent a text to mom to keep an eye out for people getting rid of stuff in preparation in a move. I didn't know if there was anything specific you wanted."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"I dunno, I'm keeping the lease here month-to-month so that if we do end up moving to some god-forsaken eighth-floor walk up at the end of the semester I can let it go easily. Beau would be understanding. Though he got mad when he found out I was sixteen when I started playing here." Bunny gives a small nervous laugh, and her shoulders rise up as she exhales.

"Your mom sounds nice. I feel increasingly like meeting her is going to be Unavoidable. Even if I'm terrified of her, but I mean, how bad could she be? She produced you, and you're a gentleman!" she states, waking up a bit more as she swings out another ottoman and a tray to act like a table.

Mark Grayson has posed:
"Good, when we get closer to the end of the semester, we can weigh our options. I can handle being here. Or if you feel comfortable having this place to yourself, I get that as well. We have only been dating a short time after all." Mark admits as he sets down the bag between them and offers her a shake.

"You'll meet her when you're ready. See. Distance. We have that." he winks. "She's not going to shut up at your door or something." That offered, he pulls one of the burgers out of the back and unwraps it to start to eat.

"If you want... I won't bring you up again for a while. I don't want you pressured or uncomfortable."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"I just.... don't know how to handle it?" Bunny replies thoughtfully. "My mom would approve of you 'cause you make me happy and treat me well. My dad wouldn't because you make me happy and treat me well and are Asian, because he's a deuchenozzle." she frowns. "I just want to know that I'll make a good impression and not mess things up." she smiles, looking up at Mark as she settles and accepts the shake.

"The only member of my family still talking to me is my brother, Bastian, who's in jail again for something minor. And Trix, who checks on me because Betty's so busy." she frowns a moment, and then looks up at Mark.

"What if she shows up at *your* door?" she asks, her eyebrows rising up.

Mark Grayson has posed:
"Your dad's feel to treat me like ass, because I have the feels for you, Bunny. Hell, I might even let him hit me." Because that would be a totally losing prospect. "She could show up at my door. But she's also good about space. Remember, most of her life before me was a super hero that was away a /lot/ on missions."

"So she dotted on me when I was younger. And I keep in touch with her because she's my mom. Telling her I found someone that makes me happy was natural. But I should have asked you first. And for that... I'm sorry." he sighs, looking down at the burger.

"I like you. And that should be enough." Then he considers and adds. "Really want to chap your dad's ass?" He smirks, eyes narrowed at the idea.

"Tell him not only am I Asian, but I'm also an alien that's not a Kryptonian."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Oh man, could blow his top. An Alien-Asian hybrid who isn't studying medical, superpowered, and has had me over for a sleepover." she give a bit of a feral grin. "And you liking me *is* enough. She's your mom. I trust you to tell her about my existence because I trust you with... with everything." Bunny gives a small smile, and brushes some of her hair out of her face. "If the opportunity arrises, would you even *want* to meet my dad?"

And that's when someone might be taking a nibble out of Mark's pants leg in curiosity.

Mark Grayson has posed:
"Only if you felt like you needed me to, Bunny. It could be worse." Mark says after considering the question and adds. "I mean, I haven't told her that we've done a little more than date..." a clearing of his throat and was about to say more when he feels a tug on his pants leg. "Whaaa..."

Oh right, she had mentioned a pet. Reaching into his burger to pull out a piece of tomato out to prepare to offer to the creature.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Aaand you might not wanna, for a bit, I mean I"m sure people make assumptions, being superheroes and young... adults..." she pauses a moment, her eyes going wide.

And yes. It's the very... very exotic tortoise. Very Exotic. Its long tail ends in a pair of bumps like a club. It has some spikiness to its carapace, and is a lovely shade of greenish-brown as dark eyes look up to Mark.

"Geep!" it says friendly-like, sitting down and pawing at Mark's pants leg again.

It's a bit bigger than a soccer ball, round and pudgy, but very, very much a species of akylosaurus.

Mark Grayson has posed:
"...that is not a turtle." Mark says suspiciously. "I loved dinosaurs when I was a kid." he peers, but feeds it some tomato anyway. "Okay, there is totally a story here, and I want to hear it."

Because the best way to advance a relationship is to learn more about each other through stories about the things they have been through.

He makes a motion as if he's about to pet it, but stops. "...how long have you had this? Is it going to get bigger?"

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Ah, that's Beeper. Beeper is... about five months old?" Bunny states, and she takes a low breath and lets it out.

"And yeah, no, he's not a tortoise, but how do you explain 'I have a tiny pet ankylosauroid as a pet that lives part-time in a kiddie pool and my ex girlfriend pays 'child support' payments in the form of green grocery?'" Bunny asks with a shrug.

She sits back a bit, looking down. "Beeper, this is Mark. Do not try to smash his shins." she warns.

Geep!" Beeper replies, monching the tomato.

"I was kinda-sorta shanghai'd to a black market dinosaur sale. Beeper's egg case got too warm and he hatched, and I was the first thing he saw. I stuffed him in my shirt and fought my way out with some folks." she considers quietly.

"Ah, it's... quite a Thing. He grew a lot over three months, but has only grown about an inch in the last month."

Mark Grayson has posed:
"All the adventures I missed out on." Mark says with a rueful smile. "But we have plenty of adventures to make for ourselves." he decides. He pulls the patty from the sandwich and eats that to offer to Beeper.

"Hello, Beeper. I'm Mark. If it helps, I'll help Bunny take good care of you." Then he looks up to Bunny in amusement. "Love you, love your dino, right?"

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"I'm afraid we're a package deal." Bunny replies with a shrug. Beeper sniffs at the sandwich sans patty, and pulls out the lettuce from it with his beak, and monches happily.

"That's really hte biggest one. I'm not really... so full of adventure. Beeper's kinda the biggest." she explains. "Do you wanna hold him?"

Mark Grayson has posed:
"Well, I'm okay with that." Mark says with a shurg. "We discussed that last night when we were consideirng living together, after all." He looks aside to her as he moves to put the rest of the bun in the bag and looks down at the creature.

"Only when he's ready." A mantra of his, apparently. "I assume like any other animal, it may take some time for him to get used to a new person."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny gives a smile, and she stretches her arms out, and then above her head to stretch her shoudlers.

She sets her shake down, and then leans over and plucks Beeper up, and without any ceremony she dumps the anky into Mark's arms for him to hold like a baby -- belly up, legs wriggling. He makes happy sounding beeps!

Mark Grayson has posed:
And this is the Bunny reminder that Mark does need to be more decisive! There's a small oof as the dino is dumped in his lap - not that Mark registered the weight at all and he gives the creature a couple of belly scratches before flipping it back upright into his lap.

"She's got lettuce on her burger too." he says in a conspiratory faux whisper to Beeper and grins aside to Bunny.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
He's only about forty pounds. The Beeper beeps happily with the tummy scritches, and then wraps himself up, happily occupying Mark's lap while Bunny finishes her burger.

"I Don't feed him fromt het able. Most of the time. He put a dent in the fridge at Tommy's apartment from his tail when we stopped spoiling him. He's a goober." she gives a smile.

"So... yeah. That's about the full tour. Kitchen. Living-Bedroom-Everything-Space, and then over there's the bathroom with the only other egress that's not through a wall." Bunny gives a small grin.

Mark Grayson has posed:
"Shower stall or do you actually have a tub?" Mark asks as he nods. "You heard Bunny. No more table scraps from me, sorry." he admits with a chuckle.

"It's a good place to start with being on your own, Bunny. If you ever want to stay at the dorm, you can though. At least until the end of the semester."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"At least until the end of the semester, in which case I get to do the moving boogaloo again, but--" Bunny gives a bright grin. "IF we do make it that far? It'll be nice. I Can definitely see myself sharing space with you."

    GEEP!

    "And Beeper."

Mark Grayson has posed:
"That if didn't sound ominous at all." Mark says with a smirk, before returning her grin and sets Beeper back on the ground. "But yes, with Beeper as well." His hand reaches to give her upper thigh a squeeze before he stretches out. "So, what shall we do tonight?" he asks her.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"The same thing we do every night, Mark -- consume junkfood and fight crime!" Bunny gives a bright grin, and then reaches up and flicks his button.

    "And thank you. For supporting."
