Emma Frost has posed:
It wasn't often that Emma 'commissioned' Jennifer to get her something (she was money incarnate, what she couldn't buy she could just telepathically command). But here, the blonde had hired her services. A high stakes game of cards was going on which included some rather potent magical items among the stakes. Being played at the Hellfire Club. And Emma, for whatever reasons, wanted some of them.
    But i twasn't something that she could show up herself for. And the wards were rather comprehensive when it came to magic, mutants, powers, and proability.
    So Jennifer was sitting in a high stakes card game with some of the most elite players of the world.. Without the (seeming) use of anyof her abilities.

Jennifer Stavros has posed:
A little nap set Jennifer up after a quick trip to Bergdorf to replenish her closet. A student generally doesn't have the money to lavish on gowns fit to be seen at the Hellfire Club while attending a very exclusive high stakes card game. But Emma had been nothing but generous. Generosity and a little luck landed her a dress that belonged in the high priced gowns from Naeem Khan on the marked down for sales.

Seated among the spectators in a position that won't tip any of the suspicious off, Jennifer still stands out in her strapless gown of gold filigree that compliments her golden hair. After tugging at the cuff of one of her opera gloves she nods slightly at Emma, giving her the go ahead. The white gloves camouflage the white token that winks between her fingers.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma is sitting in amongst the crowd. Her own buy in for this had been relatively exorbidant. She was showing quite a bit of faith in Jennifer's abilities - not that money was often an object for her, but likely for Jennifer it was a sign of trust. Emma would go to raise up her hand with a goblet of wine in a salute.

And then the first round of cards was dealt across the table. Being flung out by a cybernetic dealer wearing a tuxedo and a bow tie over the table. Where next to Jennifer sat a man in a tuxedo with the trappings of a cape and epathulets on his back. And a goatee. Catching the cards and moving to casually spin them in his hand as Jennifer would get her own as would the others at the table.

Jennifer Stavros has posed:
The bald spot on the back of the tuxedoed man's head both mesmerized Jennifer and made her want to laugh. It spoiled the elegance of his bespoke suit and studied nonchalance. She kept a straight face and tried not to look at that spot shining like a spotlight. Shifting her eyes to the dealer allows her to watch Emma and not break out giggling. The disc winks in and out of existence as Emma's cards are dealt.

Emma Frost has posed:
The man is dangerous. She doesn't have to know who he is to get a sense of that. He would go to smile over at Jennifer - in the dismissive sort of way. Not trying to intimidate her or taunt her - she was just too beneath his stature to notice.

The first round of cards were sent out, and he would go to deftly switch them out and take in another two.

Emma would look over at Jennifer and smile in a 'do enjoy yourself' visage.

It's the kind of charge Jenn lives for - danger on the left and danger on the right. Luck was capricious as the wind and as ever changing as the clouds but seldom let her down. Her lips pucker in concentration then smooth into a smile acknowledging Emma. Let the games begin!

The cards go rapidly over the table. For as ridiculous as his bald spot is, the man is a /very/ good card player. He's near impossible to tell, and has an uncanny ability to read people. It makes for several tight paced hands as it's rapidly a contest between him and everyone else as he comes ot quickly dominate the table as Jennifer looks for her opening..
