Emerald and Eagles

Location:	Main Room - Titan's Tower
Synopsis:	Kyle and Golden Eagle have a casual talk in Titans Tower.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
Golden Eagle's in the main room of the Tower with a big bowl of popcorn in her lap, watching some movie or another on the (to her, at least) *huge* TV that's in the place. She's sitting cross-legged on the sofa, too. She's not really paying much attention to much else, being as she's been here alone for a while and seems to be kinda into the movie, too.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
Kyle will quietly approach from behind. He's just curious about the movie. The mask upon his face, but that's the only thing about the costume on him. The clothes today are a pair of light blue jeans, a baseball style shiirt that's mostly white. However, the collar and the sleeves that go past the elbows, but don't even touch the wrists are a bold blue. On the center of his shirt is a simple pine tree in the same color blue.

Looking at the screen, it's not until he gets closer does he notice Eagle thee. His gaze flicks back to the woman, "What are you watching?" he asks curiously for a second before the eyes flick back to the screen.

"Green Lantern by the way," he says for intro and would normally offer the hand, but they both seem to be enjoying.

Golden Eagle eeps, startled. Popcorn flies about as the bowl bounces into the air. "A la chingada!", she says, as she flits up into the air and away from where there's quite the mess in the making.... then slaps her hands over her mouth, eyes wide. She remains floating in the air, looking sheepish... and lifts one hand away from her mouth to waggle fingers. "Uhm... hi!", she says. "I'm Golden Eagle..."

Kyle's ring starts to sparkle a bit. A construct of pocorn ball appeaars. A secnd later it tries to scoop up as much of the popcorn as possible. Then he will guide his bowl t hrs. Then he will pour it back into place. "Green Lantern. Nice to meet you. I haven't seen you around, but I was away for a while," he offers and then offers a hand t her. Just unsure how she greets peopla dn not knowing boundaries.

"Wow... thanks", Golden Eagle says, clearly embarassed by her startled reaction. "I'm new around here. Invincible introduced me to the team, but I'm not a member -- I hope, maybe, I can join as a regular member someday soon, though", she says, accepting the re-filled bowl with both hands as she floats back over and lets her feet touch the floor, again, in front of the couch. Extending one hand, she taps at the controller and pauses the movie. "I... I guess I was -really- focused on the show. I *totally* didn't notice you'd come into the room. Sorry!", she adds.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
"You're fine Golden Eagle. We're all people. You got startled. It happens," Kyle waves a hand as if t say it's kay and it's not a big deal. "I saw you were watching. I was just curious waht," he gives a nod with a grin. "You're allowed to let your guard down in these halls. Member, part time or not. You're in the giant 'T' you can let your guard down a little. Don't need to tell me who you are if you don't wish, but don't be afraid to enjoy a netflix show out here. That's why the television is here," he grns at her just trying to extend courtesy to her. Trying to let her know she can be comfortable without being required to remove any mask.

Golden Eagle is, pointedly, *not* wearing a mask, though she's also clearly in what looks to be a superheroing outfit. "Well... it was almost over, anyway...", she says, with a glance at the TV, clearly meaning that the movie was almost done. Judging by the amount of popcorn that was in her bowl, either she ate little of it or refilled part way through the movie.

She then looks back over at Kyle, as if studying his appearance for a few moments. "... you're not the Green Lantern I've seen on TV before, are you? You look kinda different", she says, leaning forward just a little bit as she 'investigates'.

Kyle focuses for a moment to let the uniform wash over him. It is on his person. Far from standard issue, it's clear to tell right away if he's the one spotted on television. The body suit is black. On the chest is a white pattern that covers part of the chestand stomach. It sprawls upward then toward the right side of his chest it narrows where a lantern symbol that's black on one side, green on the other with the inard of the symbol being the opposite color of the symbl.

His mask is more like a face plate. The gloves and boots are metallic. The gloves look like gauntlet that even cover the blows, but leaves the finger exposed to grab things. The boots include knee guards. It's clear he's a lantern and is clearly taking advantage of no formal dress code. Just needing to be identifiable.

Golden Eagle purses her lips as if in thought. "The uniform's, like, exactly the same... and I ain't tryin'a be mean or nothing... but you looked older on TV, and I'd swear your hair's a different color. Of course, it was a while back I remember seeing you when they were talking about the Justice League and stuff", she says -- and, at that point, it's clear she's talking about the -other- Green Lantern: Hal Jordan... or maybe even Guy Gardner, perhaps?

Kyle Rayner has posed:
"Different guy. That was probably the person I'm...," Kyle trails a little bit. "I can't say much. I'm not replacing him, but I'm standing in for a spell. Don't know how long, but the sector needds a Lantern. That's me for now," he admits. The hero does skip over some detials that he's not ready to share. "The other guy is on a different at the moemnt," he says knowing that sme people understand Lanterns aren't heroes bound to a particular planet.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"It must be wild going to different planets all the time...", Golden Eagle says. "My own powers only work if I stay on Earth. Haven't -really- tested that, but it's part of what I know about my powers", she adds, also not really giving much away. "Are you in the Justice League, too, or are you a Titan?", she asks, as she sits back down on the couch, again cross-legged with the bowl in her lap.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
"It's different," he admits. "I mean there's a period of wonder about it. Like are you going to enter Wonderland or Wonka's Chocolate factory, because some places do have that fantastical element. Other times, it's entering somethng primal, tribalistic or even on par with Los Vegas in Blade Runner 2049. Something horrble, horrific and a place you don't want to tread unless you have to," then he looks at her for a moment.

"Well, we can test your powers offworld. I can take you in space and you can try," then he will st down near her since they're having a talk. It's not rght next to her, bu the other side of the couch.

"If the league will have me, I'll be on both. Just need them to notice me," he grins and thinks they probably wouldn't.

Yaretzi Acama has posed:
"No need to test it. If I'm farther away from Earth than about twice the moon's orbit, I'll just poof out of hero form... probably wouldn't do the other me any good to be in vaccuum, either", Golden Eagle says. "I *know* this...", she adds, tapping a fingertip at her temple. "The knowing kinda came with the powers", she adds.

Kyle Rayner has posed:
"I get ya," and so Kyle and Eagle continue to talk. Kyle will share a little more about his powers, where to find him and just try to learn more about a teammate. A good start to a return to the Titans for Kyle.
