Joshua Foley has posed:
It's a warm day at the school. Classes are in session, students are roaming about and talking as they go about their day. Most of the talk is around the recent vote on the Cure bill, and the X-Men's involvement in it.

Sitting on one of the benchs in the garden, Joshua is hard to miss. The sun reflects off of his golden skin, currently wearing a class T-shirt and pair of sweat pants with sneakers. An iPad sits in his hands, while a small breakfast of egg bites sit on a plate next to him.

His eyes are focused on the notes on the pad, scrolling through and then back up as he blows out a breath. While some kids would be playing games -- he's studying surgical techniques. Trying to commit them to memory, but it's a baby step at a time.

Sharon Smith has posed:
A cat stuck in a tree...

A cat woman stuck in a tree was the next unlikely thing. Catseye had been testing the weight of the tree branch in a small, cat form, before shifting into a more humanoid figuire to see how far the branch would sag.

The sagging branch brought her close to Joshua's head. He found himself looped in a comfy grip of black fur as she slipped off. "You are reading" she stated the obvious.

Joshua Foley has posed:
Joshua startles. He had spotted the cat in the tree, and assumed it belonged to someone. Clearly, he was wrong. When Sharon loops around him, the warmth of the fur causes him to chuckle. "Oh, uh, hello!" he manages in greeting, a smile to her.

"Yes. Medical texts. Professor McCoy thinks if I can understand how a procedure works, I can use my ability better." he explains to her. "Would you like a bite to eat? I got too many this morning." A gesture to the plate.

And his hand reaches up, unable the human need to just touch the fur to see what it felt like before she slips off. "I'm Joshua." he greets.

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith flopped practically in his lap. It wasn't an elgant fall. Her purpose was mostly to take up as mcuh space as she possibly could while interupting his reading. "A pocedure?" she asked.

"Which food?" she asked. She didn't make any move to shake his hand, but it would have been odd or difficult, considering her confusing position on his lap.

A foot rudely pushed against his cheek as she put herself in a mildly normal seated position beside him. "I'm Sharon." she stated, with a mild humf of distaste "Catseye" she corrected. "I'm always called Sharon though..."

Joshua Foley has posed:
"Personal space isn't a problem with you, huh?" Joshua asks as he leans back when she moved and pushed a foot about his face and he smriks. "I had some egg bites with bacon and cheese left. Already ate all the fruit and bread."

When she introduces herself by both names, he ohs. "Elixir." Since they are using those names. "But I perfer Joshua, or Josh. Would you like me to call you Catseye instead? Or do you perfer Sharon?"

"This is a study on repairing a torn muscle." He turns the iPad to show her the medical text, but doesn't play a video of the surgery he had up.

"I can heal people by touching them. But I have to understand what the injury is and how to fix it." A pause and a frown. "And when I do..." he waves around a golden hand. "This happens."

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith took a fair few moments to unentangle herself from Joshua before sitting up. "I don't know yet" she admitted. Her eyes locked firmly at his iPad. "You can't help if you can't see?" she interrogated, like an X board member interviewing for an internship.

Joshua Foley has posed:
"Okay, so. It's like this." Joshua sets down the iPad and turns his attention to Sharon fully. "If you were hurt, I could sense the injury. I can like... see your life force and where it's good and where it's injured." he explains as he takes her hand. He turns it over. "Say you have a cut on your hand. I can see that. I can heal it easily, just by concentrating on what it would look like whole."

Then he turns her hand over. "Now say I can't see the wound. Like a broken bone on the inside. I can sense that, and understand it, and knit it back together." Releasing her hand with a bit of a blush after realizing he may have passed proper hand-holding time, he continues.

"I want to eventually be able to just... sense what's happening inside someone and be able to fix it." a waning smile. "I already know I can revive myself. I'd like to be able to save others."

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith looked daftly at him as he took up her paw like hand. She maintained a similar blank look throughout his explanation.

It wasn't until he released her paw that she furrowed her cat-like brow. "Sense?" she asked, planting the same paw he released on the top of his forehead. "What do you sense now?"

It would have been a softer, more adorable gesture, if it weren't for the peaks of her thick claws pressing against his scalp. Despite the very real threat of her sharp claws, she didn't seem like a threat. She seemed more like a Disney villian, dragging the encounter on for no reason what-so-ever.

Joshua Foley has posed:
Joshua laughs, going cross-eyed at the paw on his head. "You're an affectionate one." he comments, but he closes his eyes and considers her. After a moment, he opens them back up. "You're a perfectly healthy young woman." he compliments.

"No injuries, no illnesses that I can tell." He reaches over to take up some of his food to snack on. "Is this the form you feel most comfortable in?" he asks curiously.

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith 's claws assisted her in pulling his head slightly closer as she leered in. "I'm not that young" she decreed, her hand sliding down the side of his scalp. She gave an equally confused look as she corrected "I'm not that old."

She gave a best of a pouting look as a feline faced humanoid could before chirping out a "No" in answer to his question. Her shoulders even slumped in a slight exaggeration.
