Date of Scene: 21 September 2023
Location: Beach and Boardwalk - Coney Island
Synopsis: Kori and MJ meet and talk at the beach, Victor lurks and schemes
Cast of Characters: Koriand'r, Victor Creed, Mary Jane Watson

Koriand'r has posed:
It wasn't a day off for Koriand'r, but it might be as close to one as the heroine who spent her 'day job' hours as a supermodel might manage. Down at the beach and enjoying the sunshine, the alien princess with her deep orange skin was currently lounging.

For most people, the idea of sunbathing and tanning was actually one with mixed risks...but when you were a solar-powered superhero? You were probably able to get a pass.

Stretched out on her belly and lounging on a towel by the water. Did it matter that the months were turning and it was getting progressively colder? Well, apparently not to Starfire!

Victor Creed has posed:
The idea of the beach is not exactly Victor's concept of a good time. The sand is coarse, rough, and gets /everywhere/, and the waterline is not any more of a relief. He is not necessarily a cat man, per se, but he certainly shares some similarities.

No, he was there on an assignment. Observe, ideally, a target, and if necessary, take them out. Standard job, standard op. Non-standard merc.

Despite the surroundings, he is wearing pants and a trenchcoat hangs over his t-shirt. He is not about to scare the surrounding citizenry with a full view of his frightening form.

At least not until the job is done.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson is over on the beach on her own assignment. Mary Jane is jogging along, a large duffel bag slung over her back. As she does so, it clinks heavily in it. Definitely rather heavy - something heavier than someone should normally be able to lift by the repeated sounds that it would make as it bounced off her thigh and she kept up a steady jog.

She has on a set of headphones and is singing 'under the boardwalk' while going past Creed. The duffel bag smells of adamantium.

Koriand'r has posed:
Unaware, at least for the moment, for both the presence of Sabertooth and MJ alike, Kori actually had her eyes closed. For all the talk of Tamaranians being descendant from felines, seems she liked the water just fine...or at least basking by it in the sunlight.

As the jogging brought MJ closer however she did blink, reaching behind her back to ensure her swimsuit was fastened before sitting up in suprise.

"Mary Jane?"

Victor Creed has posed:
Part of Victor might be disappointed that the Tamarian beauty performed such a check. But only a small part. As interesting as it might be to admire the alien woman, his nose wrinkles as a very familiar smell wafts by. And a decidedly uncommon one as well.

His quarry is forgotten. He can be easily found later. The scent of one of the few metals that has caused him trouble is far more intriguing, and captures Victor's attention.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
The blade in the duffel bag would jangle over on Mary Jane's back as she would give a wave, "Hey there Kory! Should have expected to see you out here. Didn't think it was particularly great beach weather though. Good to see you out and making the effort. Guess you're going to have to be hitting California if you're going ot keep it up." Going to lean back before blowing a kiss at Kory.

No signs of awareness of Creed's notice.

Koriand'r has posed:
"I'm a bit warmer that most humans, as you know," Koriand'r offers lightly, giving a little laugh to herself before drawing up to stand. "But then perhaps you are correct? Still, there's always a little benefit to being able to fly if you wish to go vacationing elsewhere, right?"

Victor's looming? She still hadn't noticed it, but then the man was at her back for the moment. She however would almost certainly be recognizable. After all, how many tall aliens with near flaming hair were hanging around Earth these days?

Victor Creed has posed:
Victor watches the interplay from a safe enough distance that he does not seem inclined to disrupt the two as they converse. Koriand'r is certainly well known to him, and although MJ may not be, the odor of adamantium and the familiarity with the heroine certainly gives some indication that she is someone worthy of watching.
Victor remains in his casual lean, elbows upon the railing of the board walk. Listening quietly, even as he allows his gaze to drift elsewhere, as the two converse.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would smile, "Yes, you're practically a cat, Kory. I swear you're completely solar powered. But you do seem way too consistently energetic to be a cat so the situation doesn't quite fully match." There's complete fondness and openness over from her to Kory. A slight elevation of warmth of her skin.

"And being able to fly places is useful. Well, under your own power. I don't have the time for a lot of travel. Or any, really." Still unaware of Victor.

Koriand'r has posed:
A turn at the moment, Koriand'r smiles lightly to face side-on. She might actually catch a glimpse of Victor in his coat, a little tingle of instinct drawing her bright green gaze his way for a moment before she blinks to look back at Mary Jane. "Well, perhaps you should -make- the time, no?"

Victor Creed has posed:
For the moment, at least, Victor is content to remain as he is. He makes little effort to hide, because that would frankly draw more attention. Instead, he seems like plenty of other tourists, absorbed with watching the people come and go, the waves crash around, a seagull stealing french fries from a paper cup...

He is certainly not paying rapt attention to the conversation to gleam some details of who MJ is.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would sigh, "I'm not in a position to do that." She would smile. "Comes with having a full time job and being new to it. Vacation days are not something I get any sort of availability on. Maybe in a decade or two I'll have some. Just makes me appreciate the ones I get and reminds me I have to work up to getting them." Creed is for now as ninja as a pouch at a 90's convention

Koriand'r has posed:
Unaware of the adamantium sword, only spotting Creed as 'some (admittedly tall) guy' hanging around the beach, Koriand'r instead gives a little soft grin and lazily lifts her hands to rest on MJ's shoulders. "Perhaps, but we should still try, no?"

Victor Creed has posed:
Tall guy or not, Creed might pass for any other guest, unless someone was familiar with the world's deadliest assassins. He is likely well known in certain communities. Perhaps not SHIELD, given his area of focus. He is not de-stabilizing governments. Not yet, at least.

His gaze wanders back over towards the two, looking very much like any of the other men around that cannot quite seem to get enough of the Tamarian Princess.

Koriand'r has posed:
"Even you would get the 'Week ends', no?" Starfire comments, a little fond squeeze on MJ's shoulders given before she pulls her into a comfortable hug if permitted. "We will find the time, I am sure." Well, Kori -was- a hugger after all, and MJ wasn't exactly just some 'random friend'.

Creed was a known villain...but with limited tangling with the Titans? He wasn't exactly the top on their 'assassins to look out for' list, seemingly meaning that he'd managed to remain hidden for now.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would let the hug go in, accepting it from the super-strong, super-orange, super-tall alien. "Well, thank you. And yes, I do sometimes get weekends off. So if you don't mind flying us somewhere for an overnight I can probably make it work." She would go to stand up on tiptoe to give a kiss to Kory's cheek.

"You're the best, you know that dear?"

Victor Creed has posed:
A wrinkle crosses Victor's face. The adamantium bearing one most certainly is some kind of hero. And that is not a good combination.

Victor pushes off the railing and starts to stroll away on a path that will take him slightly closer, if a respectable distance from the pair. His nose twitches as he takes up the scent, focusing on that one closest to the adamantium.

Now is not the time to investigate her, but someday soon, he will be able to find her again.

Koriand'r has posed:
"I am simply lucky," Kori offers with a little grin, accepting the kiss and returning it lightly. Tamaranians weren't exactly modest with affection, but she was certainly willing to reign it in for the sake of human paramours and friends alike. "We will have to pick somewhere then, I cannot wait!"

Unmoving as they were, it was easy enough for Victor to drift closer while the two spoke.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
There's no remote notice of Creed by Mary Jane - the man is among the most cunning and stealthy on Earth. She's not going to notice him unless he wants her to notice him. "Well, I need to -get- the time off first, so no rush."

Victor Creed has posed:
Scent obtained. Victor's steps carry him along the boardwalk away from the two conversing heroes.

And towards the man he had been sent here to find, who was not lucky enough to think to leave earlier. Pity.
