Cast of Characters: April O'Neil, Norman Osborn

April O'Neil has posed:
One thing any big office building like this needs to have is a coffee kiosk. On a morning like this the line for it is rathe siezeable, and April finds herself waiting her turn. The kiosk is in the lobby, with the glass windows looking out over the crowded city street beyond. The pretty brunette is dressed in a pale yellow jumpsuit, partially unzipped with a white shirt beneath, and her Channel Six News lanyard around her neck. She fiddles with her phone as she waits, browsing Tik Toks.

Norman Osborn has posed:
People pass in and out, a few late arrivals just making it into work. While the earlier risers are already about their day, people coming and going from meetings and appointments at any of the various businesses that call the building home in addition to the more famous Channel Six News.

Outside, a trio of matching SUVs pull up at the curb in front. It's an area usually kept clear of traffic. April's keen powers of observation might notice how the lead SUV tilts forward as it stops, noticeably further than the other vehicles dipped upon stopping. That indicates weight. Along with their appearance, there is a good chance the middle SUV might have armor plating and reinforced glass to account for that differing handling.

No sign of anyone just yet heading out to it. A trio of men in suits get out, one from each car. The front and back men begin looking about the area, while the middle one stands by the middle car's rear door. All three are rather solidly built, fit me in their late thirties or so.

April O'Neil has posed:
April IS obervant! She glances up from her phone and blinks at the sight of the three SUVS parked just beyond the glass. She swipes her thumb on her screen, closing the app before she pockets her phone. She has six people in front of her still, and her curiosity is currently higher then her need for caffeine (Insane, I know!). She considers for a moment and then steps out of line, flashing the guy behind her and gesturing for him to step in to fill her spot.

She then makes her way across the lobby, tucking her hands into the pockets of her trendy, comfy jumpsuit. She shoulders open the glass door and steps out into the somewhat chilly New York morning. She hesitates a bit away from the curb, but she is clearly watching the cars.

Norman Osborn has posed:
April will be left watching for just a bit over five minutes. But at that point, a group of people come walking around the corner where the elevators lie. There are three more fit men in suits, who have taken up positions as if bodyguarding two men and a woman. One of the men is very recognizable. Norman Osborn, billionaire owner of OsCorp, the military and medical technology conglomerate. His suit is expensive and impeccably cut, while those of the woman and man accompanying him are also high end tailoring if not quite at the level of Norman Osborn's.

"Go ahead and start drawing up paperwork, though we need to hammer out more details," Norman is saying to the man, who takes down a note as he nods back. "Will do, sir," he says.

The group make their way towards the building's front doors. Out by the SUVs, the three men become a little more alert.

April O'Neil has posed:
She furrows her brow a bit as the group emerges. Curiouser, she keeps watching. When Norman climbs into view she blinks and begins going over things she knows about the man in her head. As they start towards the doors she moves to intervene, flashing that practiced smile of hers.

"Hello! And a good New York morning to you, Mr. Osborne! April O'Neil, Channel Six News! Why are you visiting the building?," she asks immediatly, not at all sugar coating her questioning.

Norman Osborn has posed:
As April begins moving over towards them, the bodyguard in front quickly identifies her and moves over between April and his client. Though April is still able to get the attention of Norman and his two staffers. The man who was taking the note steps forward, raising a hand and saying, "I'm sorry, Mr. Osborn doesn't have time for any questions at this time."

This gives Norman a chance to take in the sight of the vivacious young reporter. His eyes sweep across her briefly, but as if they could have taken her in down to her weight and shoe size in that glance.

Norman clears his throat and says, "It's ok Ted. Thank you." The younger man moves out of the way, as does the bodyguard, though the latter stays close by. Norman steps forward, the lines in the older man's face giving him a distinguished look as he regards April. "Just routine business meetings. Miss O'Neil, did you say?" he inquires.

April O'Neil has posed:
The woman eyes the bodyguard as he steps up to her, and she looks up at him without an ounce of fear in her eyes. "Not even the one?," she asks. But then Norman answers, anyways, and he tells his people to stand down. She turns her attention to him, then, hands still casually in the pockets of her jumpsuit.

"Yes. O'Neil. April O'Neil." She cocks her head a bit to the side, watching him. "Oh. Well, then have a good day, Mr. Osborne. Hope that routine day goes well. But you're a mystery to the city, and if you ever want to be less of one, I think a lot of folks would tune in for an interview."

Norman Osborn has posed:
Norman's hand moves to his chin, rubbing it briefly as the man appears in thought. Or perhaps dredging up a memory. "April O'Neil. You're the one that did the piece at Arkham on Harleen Quinzel, aren't you?" he says. While that interview did put April on the map in the podcast space (as well as gain her a harlequin themed roommate with hyenas for pets), it still might not be something Norman Osborn would be expected to be familiar with.

"Admittedly, Miss O'Neil, I tend to foster that privacy about myself, my family, quite intentionally," Norman Osborn replies to April. There have been some protests about OsCorp's military contracts of late though. Perhaps that is what leads Norman to say, "But I might consider doing a short interview on another occasion. Ted, why don't you get in touch with Miss O'Neil and work out parameters. If that is to your satisfaction, Miss O'Neil?"

April O'Neil has posed:
She does look surprised that the man knows about it, and she almost puffs out her chest a bit in pride. "I did! Should have won something for that one, if you ask me." She shrugs a shoulder and plucks a hand from her pockets to brush it back through her lightly curled hair.

She's about to make some kind of retort about the fostered privacy when she hears about the scheduling, and she beams. "That sounds great, Mr. Osborne! I'll give my details to your guy here. You have a lovely day, and I hope to talk to you for a good bit longer pretty soon." She fishes out her phone and steps over to the man in question to deliver the required information.

Norman Osborn has posed:
Ted moves over to exchange information with April, while Norman and the rest of his party continue on outside. It doesn't take Ted long, just handing over a card for her to contact him at, and then he hurries his step to catch up.

At the SUVs, the one man opens the door and Norman waits for the woman to enter and then climbs in behind her. Just before the door shuts, there might be a glimpse of him looking back towards the building's entrance, before it closes and the three vehicles whisk off together down the street.
