Austin Reese has posed:
Gotham City is starting to get chilly as October rolls around. Which means it's time for the extra layer under the armor. Feeling nice and cozy in his gear, Osprey has been patrolling for the last several hours. He'd taken a few nights off since his encounter with Klarion, but he was feeling fine and getting restless in the manor. So he'd gone out and now, it was late, he needed a break.

He'd swung by the Sundollar, grabbed a venti quad shot, and now was sitting on an AC the ledge of one of the campus buildings at Gotham University. He was more than happy to take a break, his hood was down, leaving his scruffy silvery white hair to get blown by the colder early morning winds. October always brings trouble, he doubts this year will be different.

Gar Logan has posed:
When in Rome, do as the Romans do. When in Gotham City?

Well, it might explain the green bat flying around. There aren't many of those in existence. Go ahead, check!

The city is a dangerous one compared to many others, but it also has a protector that's unique compared to the others out there. And, he has his own crew of associates, family members, whatever they are to him.

It might be a good time for a pause and a bite to eat. Deciding he'd like something more substantial than insects or something like a banana or watermelon, the search is on for a suitable spot to get a bite to eat, leading to the creature descending.

Austin Reese has posed:
Bats flying around is nothing new in Gotham, be they the kind with wings or the kind with capes. The university campus is pretty dark at the moment, but there is a 24 hour store just nearby. Osprey can see it from where he's at, if nothing else he's actually watching to make sure it doesn't get robbed, there has been a rash of that going around lately.

He takes a long drink of his coffee, scanning his eyes up to the sky, the motion detector in his domino picking up the descending bat. He doesn't pay it too much mind at first, instead finishing off his coffee.

Gar Logan has posed:
That bat continues its descent toward a nearby alley, though really..there's no need for it. The identity isn't secret, so it simply changes a few feet from the ground. A transformation into someone also green of skin and detail, in a red and white costume.

At which point the figure enters the store. Question is, how good is Osprey's hero knowledge? Or meta knowledge in general? Be this potential friend or foe? Then again, Beast Boy /is/ quite publicly known.

Austin Reese has posed:
Wait is that..? Osprey quickly finishes his coffee and then tosses the cup into a trash can down below the ledge he was sitting on. What would he be doing all the way down here in Gotham? Dropping off the ledge, Osprey strolls across the street and towards the shop, pulling his hood up as he crosses over, taking a second to wait outside before he opens the door and steps inside.

The clerk inside the shop looks up when Garfield walks in. A green guy? Well it is Gotham. He doesn't necessarily recognize Beast Boy at first, but he's not threatening with a gun or trying to blow up the city block or something so he lets him shop. After a few moments, the door chimes again, and he looks up, spotting Osprey, who he has seen in here before. He always pays in cash and never causes trouble and also stopped those robbers two weeks ago, so he's more than happy to have the vigilante around.

The hooded hero nods hello to the clerk, as he wanders through the aisles, trying to get a look at the green guy and check if it's who he thought it might be. He'll need to ask for an autograph if it is.

Gar Logan has posed:
Beast Boy makes a beeline - though not literally in this case - to the snack section, grabbing some candy bars, chips, and a few other goodies. "Think I'm gonna need a bag for all this," he says more to himself. He /does/ eat a lot, and sometimes that sugar high is just what he needs.

The bell signals someone else entering, so there's a glance that way to see if it's someone he ought to keep an eye on, though from his spot it may not be immediately clear he's watching.

Austin Reese has posed:
Osprey rounds a corner behind Beast Boy as he looks through the candy, "Well I'll be damned. It is you." He says, spotting the green hero, "I thought I saw you head in here, couldn't believe my eyes at first." He offers one of his gloved hands to shake, "Name's Osprey. Hope you don't mind me springing in on you while you're shopping."

He does have a tendency to check out when other heroes at in Gotham, but at the moment he has no reason to assume Garfield is here for anything other than late night gas station snacks. Who doesn't love a bunch of candy bars and gummy bears for a quick burst of energy. Breakfast of champions, that.

Gar Logan has posed:
Spotted, though not like an owl, hyena, or cheetah just this minute! Beast Boy looks at the geared up guy, then down at the outstretched hand, then back up. "What couldn't you believe? And my hands are kind of full right now, but..." Showing good balance, he lifts a foot to offer it instead. Unconventional, this one.

"Osprey? Well, that does fit some of the naming in Gotham. I /think/ I've heard the name before, but I've never seen the face to place." His own is nearly impossible to forget, not to mention the costume itself.

Austin Reese has posed:
Oh right duh, his hands are full. He still takes the offered foot and shakes it, "Let me give you a hand." He says, taking some of the stuff out of Gar's arms so he can get his hands free to grab some more, "Yeah one of the newer ones. But I know you. Wish I'd brought my box set of the show.." He doesn't want to make it weird, but it might make it weird.

He moves over to the counter and sets some of the candy down, before heading over to grab something from the case of energy drinks. May as well grab another while he's here after all, "Hey put whatever he wants on my tab." He says to the clerk, motioning to Gar.

Gar Logan has posed:
Beast Boy laughs and after giving a 'thanks,' he finds his load lessened about halfway. "If you did, I'd have had to ask if you always carry it around waiting for this exact moment." Of course he knows which show, which box set.

The rest of the goodies gets dumped on the counter, and he gestures toward the frozen treat machine. "Hey, thanks again. If you're looking to get on my good side extra fast, that's a great way to do it. It might need you to take a second job, but..yeah. Can I get one of those cola slushies while we're at it?"

Austin Reese has posed:
The clerk looks between the two of them as they stand in front of him, probably wondering why he picked Gotham when there was a whole country he could work in a gas station at. But he starts scanning things, and then when Gar asks about the slush, "Sure." He replies, grabbing one of the cups and turning around to get the drink.

Osprey laughs a little bit at the mention of him having the box set with him, "Couldn't fit it in the utility belt or I would." He jokes, setting a few of his own things down on the counter, and shaking his head at the mention of needing a second job, "Nah don't worry about it. Trust me, I can cover it. Though I'll need to get your details so I can meet up with you with the box set sometime."

Gar Logan has posed:
"I mean, I do spend a lot of my time at Titans Tower, so it's not too hard to drop by. Just ask Robin or Nightwing sometime, or just have them bring it over. I could even deliver it. When's the last time you've seen a carrier pigeon?"

This is who Garfield Logan is. Just always having something witty or animal-related to say, and he flashes a winning smile at the clerk before adding a thumbs-up. "Thanks, bro. You're a real mensch. Perfectly cromulent. That's a good thing. If we can just get a couple bags..."

He turns to Osprey again. "Nice hair. All white? That's different."

Austin Reese has posed:
The items are bagged up, separated and bagged for the two, and Osprey pushes some cash across the counter, motioning he doesn't need the change as he motions towards the door, to allow Gar to go first, "Ah yeah, that is a very recent and very permanent reminder that Klarion doesn't like getting tricked." He chuckles, and follows after Garfield as he leaves.

"I'll definitely have to swing by sometime though. Should be easy enough, I'll try to give you SOME heads up though."

Gar Logan has posed:
Garfield Logan waves to the clerk, who may or may not deem this worthy of sharing with the family later. As they leave, talk of the hair causes him to look somewhat confused. "...who?" It would seem Beast Boy doesn't have any familiarity with the name 'Klarion.'

There's merely a nod to the idea of the Tower visit, nothing more needing to be said to that part. Instead, it's, "So how's the patrolling been around here? I know, I know, this is the B-Man's territory, but he knows us."

Austin Reese has posed:
"Oh, well. Big bad magical brat." Osprey replies, "Managed to outwit him and save a friend, and he tried to blast me with some kind of curse." He shakes his head a bit, "I had no idea I'd be dealing with so much magic stuff when I started this whole thing."

The question about patrolling gets him to hmm faintly, "Honestly not bad. It's near the college, so occasionally you can have things get out of hand at a frat party, but some days you wind up with some mercs breaking into the high intensity magnet research lab. But hey I'd welcome someone to chat with while patrolling."

Gar Logan has posed:
Beast Boy grimaces. "Ahhh, magic types. Not my favorite to deal with, especially if..you know." He gestures at the white hair. "I'm pretty used to mine, but if I went all white I'd look like the dude from Powder."

He rummages around in his own bag, while balancing holding his frozen drink. "And if it's by the college, you probably get invited to some fun stuff..unless they think you're gonna try to stop their parties. That lab sounds like a real attraction, though." He deadpans this, mindful of where he's walking with those bare feet of his.

Austin Reese has posed:
"Yeah that would look kinda weird I admit." He replies, as he wanders away from the shop a bit, in order to give whatever room they need to let Beast Boy take off when he needs to, "Tell you what, I'll swing by the tower in a couple of days, maybe get your autograph, and then we can chat some more." He says, hand slipping under his jacket to pull out his grapple gun, "I really should get back out there though, crime doesn't take breaks."
