Gabby Kinney has posed:
Movie night. Gabby was the one that suggested it and now she's got everything prepared. A lot of comfy pillows were set up by the couch for floor or other usage (she sometimes sat on the floor after all) and snacks. Drinks, popcorn, some candy and chips. Just a random assortment of things she liked, and thought that he might like as well.

Like before she's wearing comfy clothes in leggings and a t-shirt with fuzzy socks on. There's even a blanket draped on the couch. It looks like a slumber party almost as she tosses the few last colorful pillows she'd 'borrowed' from some of Nettie's other areas of the shop to add in. Hah.

Joshua Foley has posed:
Joshua had to make a few deliveries before movie night. The ringing of the bell downstairs announces his return to the shop. "Nettie!" he calls out, and hearing nothing, he is making his way up the stairs.

And when he comes into the lounge and sees everything that Gabby has set up, his expression drops. "Hey." he greets her. And when she looks over? Physically, he looks fine. Upright, mobile. However, the clothes he had chosen for their date -- his tshirt is covered in blood, and judging by her nose and the tears in the cloth at his stomach and shoulder, it's his. His helmet is splintered on the right forehead. And his messenger bag has a hole clean through it. "Seen Nettie?" he asks, clearly still in a bit of shock. "...her book got shot."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney sniffs the air a time or two when she hears Josh's voice. Something felt off... but she couldn't quite place it. The shop was filled with so many smells for her to begin with. It's once he comes upstairs that her senses nag at her making her far more alert than before. By the time he comes into view her green eyes are fixed sharply on him with worry.

"No, I haven't, and she won't care about the book. What happened to YOU!?" Date forgotten, she moves to his side to reach gently for the messenger bag to take it off of him.

"Come on, sit down. You okay? You need anything? Water, food, a bucket of Advil?" The helmet is already being regarded trying to figure out how to take it off without possibly making things worse. "You look ... bad."

Joshua Foley has posed:
"Food. Food is good. You have that covered." The messenger bag comes off as he looks her over with his own eyes. "You look nice." Because he is really feeling bad about ruining date night. As he sets the bag on a table and goes to sit down where they had planned to watch the movie together. There's still a bit of dried blood on his face. And when he scrubs at his face with his hands, Gabby can tell that the skin there has turned black.

"Got ambushed. Reavers. They're still after me." he explains. "Bunny, Spider-Man and Mania rescued me. They're not going to stop, Gabby." It's a soft, scared admission. But one that he's trying to come grips with. "They see me as the secret to being perfect cyborgs and they just keep coming when I don't expect them."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Yep I do have the food covered," Gabby agrees as she looks to the pile of food. It's not exactly healthy but she knew how important it was to get calories in her after having to heal, too. She could go awhile without. It just wasn't great. Usually it meant she'd have to sleep longer to recover.

Reluctantly she steps away long enough to grab a bottle of water and some Doritos to bring back to his side. The bag is opened and set beside him on the couch before she twists open the water bottle, too.

"Then we'll just have to start anticipating them. We thought they were leaving you alone so that's our fault, but we can work with this, Josh. For now, lets get you feeling better. Want me to go make you a sandwich or something healthier than chips?"

Joshua Foley has posed:
Joshua starts with the chips. He picks out a few and just starts to scarf on them and chases it with some water. His healing factor is like hers, just on steroids. And empty calories are probably the best calories as he takes a long drink of water. His free hand, the one not covered in Dorito dust reaches and squeezes hers. "Sandwich in a moment, just want you close to me." he admits.

His hand releases hers, and he closes his eyes. "Two of them were deactivated. One is still functioning. In custody. Was hoping that Nettie could tell me where they are at. Like a finding spell or something." A sigh escapes his lips.

"Maybe I can make a deal with them. Or something." Her words finally settle on his ears and he pulls his lips into a thin line and he fidgets slightly. "I like you, Gabby. I like you a lot. You know that though. I know you can help, and I want your help. I just feel bad for bringing my mess to your doorstep."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney hesitates from leaving to get more things to help. Like maybe a towel, or wash cloth, or something. She was used to blood so it doesn't bother her much. Except when it was on someone else. She knew her limits, but not his, not yet. "Okay. I'll stay," she assures as she sinks down to sit beside him still frowning a bit over the entire situation.

"Josh, above all else, you're a member of the JLD too. This isn't a matter of 'bringing it to my doorstep.' It's them fucking with us. We'll find them, and have... Words. Even if it means ending things like I did with the labs that were after me." A pause before she adds, "Maybe with less fire this time."

Joshua Foley has posed:
Perhaps noticing her look of worry, Joshua lifts his shirt slightly to show Gabby his abdomen, which is surprisingly fit for someone who sometimes lives on junk food and video games. "See, all healed up." he promises her. "Just need to eat and later rest a bit."

"I know I'm a member. And I know you knew the story of the Reavers before you let me in." he agrees, and then lowers his shirt back into place. "I'm done with words, Gabs." That said with a quiet anger she may not have noticed before. "I was killed because of them. And they have tried to capture me, hurt my friends, and now they don't even care if I'm dead as long as they have my geneome."

"I'm done with words. They aren't getting me anywhere." His eyes meet hers, his blue eyes barely hiding the smouldering anger he feels. "This has to stop. And it's only going to stop with me dead, or them."

"I vote them."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney gives Josh a rather bemused grin at that though she tries not to glance down again after the first shirt flip. This was a time to be serious after all. "Words are very effective. If they're written on bullets, for instance." The joking slips just a bit though. "I know. And I wasn't exactly meaning we should talk to them. They've made their intentions known and now it's time we put a stop to it."

Joshua Foley has posed:
"I agree. I'm tired of being meek, Gabs." Which is what Joshua is, at least in his mind. And maybe that's why... he pushes that thought aside. Not the time. "I should go change. Or at least get out of this shirt and clean up."

A pause and he tries some humor. "Unless we're watching a slasher flick. Then I totally look the part." he manages, a weak smile that presses his lips. Humor shields the truth the best. "How many words can we write on your claws, or should we keep it a succent, 'Fuck off'?"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"The claws are themselves a flip off. I only have one per hand," Gabby informs with a solemn nod of agreement. Her hands press down against her knees as she pushes up to her feet as well, pausing only to take a bit of concrete off his shoulder with a little flick of fingertips.

"Yeah, go clean up. I'd offer to wash your back but... I don't think you need any more blood rushing to areas issues. We'll get it handled."

Joshua Foley has posed:
A light blush touches his cheeks as Joshua rises up. "I'll clean up, come back and we'll try the movie." He was about to walk away when Gabby touches his shoulder and he chuckles. "Yeah, ate the pavement pretty hard." he admits. "I'll be right back."

And drawing up what reserves of bravery he has left, he leans in and presses a warm kiss to her cheek. "Thank you." he whispers as he pulls back. And he turns to head out.
