Synopsis: Space Yacht! The heroes stop the pirates, with minimal injuries. The spae yaht is damaged perhaps irreperably
Cast of Characters: Roberto da Costa, Kitty Pryde, Gabby Kinney, Warren Worthington, Joshua Foley

Roberto da Costa has posed:
The day is gray and cold, wind whips through the front yard as Berto waits on the pavement outside the mansion. He is for once dressed casually, white linen plants, silk hawaiian style shirt. He even has boat shoes on. It is a weird place to meet for a nautical outing but the X-Men are lousey with teleporters so not that surprising. Berto smiles at Kitty and Warren, Josh and Gabby, "Hmm, that seems to be it, Sam got called away. I guess we're ready." Berto pulls out an old looking communicator and barks, "Da'ahbacta" There is a responding bark and then a flash.

The quintet disappears and reappears on a large metal deck, with a panoramic view of the near solar system, "Welcome to the Ipanema Beach." Berto smiles and gestures widely, "This was not easy to pull off. Though I got a great deal, they love kelp."

The space is lavish there is a pool, potted plants of wildly divergent species, and you can see what can only be described as sentient Guinea Pigs wandering around. They tallest is just over five feet. A fairly average sized alien with a brown-black-white tri-color coat approaches, "Ah, this is the Captain, Rosabu'ud, I call him Captain Rosebud. And this is Mac'arino, I call her counselor Macarina. She's the translator." He indicates a brownish red alien standing to the right and just behind the Captain. Berto raises his hands and shows his teeth in greeting which the Captain returns he also smells floral. "There Dorabo'oties. Yeah, I didn't have any idea either." He nods to Macarina, "These are my friends, are we ready for the tour and maiden voyage? We can shove off when you're ready Captain."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde came outside, wearing a pair of sweat pants and a hoodie overtop her swim suit. Her hair is pulled back in a ponytail, and she has sunglasses pushed up atop her head. Though the way the weather looks, she's not sure there's going to be enough sun to allow use of the suit. Or even the sunglasses maybe.

Greetings are offered to everyone as they arrive together. She turns towards Roberto, curious as he pulls out some kind of radio, she assumes, and says something that she doesn't recognize into it. Though maybe it's Portuguese, though it didn't seem like it to Kitty.

And then she's kind of floored. That feeling of her stopping doing flip flops at the teleport. Her eyes widen and she just stares about with her mouth hanging open for several seconds, looking at the aliens, the ship, and the sun in the distance above the Earth.

Her sunglasses fall down to the normal place for sunglasses. Maybe she'll get to use them after all.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney had come prepared! With a swimsuit of course, but she knew from experience the LAST time she went on a boat with Berto there was a lot of jungle trawling. So she's got regular clothes over top. The only thing immediately noticable as 'expecting a sunny day on the water' was a floppy bucket hat a la Guilligan's Island (except it had flowers on it), and sunglasses at the ready. That, and a bag slung over her shoulder.

"This isn't going to be one of those surprises--" she begins when Berto pulls out a communicator to speak a language she wasn't familiar with. Too late, it seems, as they get teleported up onto a...

"Space yacht."

Gabby bounces on the balls of her feet with a little high-pitched SQUEAL of excitement as she reaches out to grab Josh's hand beside her giving it perhaps a very hard squeeze as she tries to regain her composure. She was the head of the JLD. She was a MATURE ADULT but... space.

It's only as she inhales catching the whiff of... alien... emotions? That she pauses, tilting her head to glance at a grey suited one that scurries by. The others were happy. It was easy to pick up, even if it was something that causes her head to tilt while her face scrunches into a difficult to read expression. Thoughtful.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren Worthington is shirtless, wearing a pair of breezy designer sweatpants, cinched at the ankle. His wings spread out above and behind him, his glory on display, such as it were. He has on a pair of wrap-around black shades and cutting edge Smartwatch of his own make and model, cuffed to his wrist with a platinum band. Quite waterproof, of course.

"Space yacht. You bastard. You've done it," he says. "Generally, I'm not a fan of space - things like air are rather important if you have wings. And lungs. But when it's used on outrageous luxury, I can't help but be sold."

Joshua Foley has posed:
Joshua accompanied Gabby to the commissioning of the yacht, and has heeded the warnings she has shared of what Roberto could pull. A pair of board shorts are worn with a light long-sleeve shirt and slip on shoes.

Holding hands with Gabby as they board, he's looking around, "Wow... this is way way out of my league..." he is starting to say as he feels the crush on his hand and it's already knitting itself back together again when there's the sudden shift of teleportation and they are no longer on Earth.

This is Joshua's first time being teleported. And it shows. His normally golden skin gets rather green cheeks and he has to release Gabby's hand as he looks around desperatedly before running to a nearby trashcan, dropping to his knees and he /hurls/ into it. He really should not have had that bowl of cereal before they left.

He holds up a hand. "I-I'm okay!" he calls out and dry heaves again, even as his own power tries to heal him.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
The Dorabooties do get to the business of running the ship and also serving the guests. There is spread set out a sweet little Brasilian barbecue. There is also a bar and drinks are offered, fruity and festive, except where other things are more appropriate. A pair of Dorbooties are quite taken with Warren's wings, they coo and preen trying to get his attention.

Berto gives an exagerated bow and chuckles as he pffers Warren a dap, "It wasn't easy. Setting up the Emporium on the space staion, starting with small imports of food for the kitchen and souvenirs. Making the connections, that's when I saw the market openings." he folds his hands across his chest, Kitty can recognize this, it's how she gets when a particular awesome tech falls into her lap or she cracks a particular thorny computer code, "There's zero regulations pure supply and demand. That's where I met the Dorabooties they wanted to trade for Kelp which they don't have but their people are crazy for, we became the suppliers, first just selling it elements, helium, lithium, occasionally gold or something exotic. They'd handle transport, but then this deal opened up. It has a good size cargo space, I can show you, but it also has the facilitie sfor entertaining, which I love." Can totally rent it out for special occasions. Beto smiles at Gabby and nods, "Awesome, right? I know that's just how I was, 'Ahhhhhh, SSSSPPPAAACCEE!" He makes the excited hands.

Berto glances from Gabby to JOsh, "First Teleport? No worries, we've all been there. You'll rally!" While Josh is distracted Berto sends sign language questions to Gabby, pointing from her to Josh and then taking his pointer fingers and placing them next to each other with an inquiring look.

Counselor Macarena, clears her throat, "Humans, I mean Peoples. We hope you enjoy this selection of local delicacies. Let us know if you would prefer something and we will have our chefs prepare it. You may relax here in what Patron Beto refers to as the ledo tech, or we may begin the tour. PLease as we begin our cruise take note of he solar flares you star, Sol, displays. Lovely are they not?" The ship has started to move and is appraching the sun, wherever we are going seems to be on the farside of the solar system.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde pushes her sunglasses back up. Not really needing them unless they lower the shielding on the viewing window. And besides, they stop her from oggling about at the ship itself.

But it's not Kitty's first space rodeo, as it were. So she greets the Dorabooties with a bright smile and, "Hello, very nice to meet you." And hopes that smiling isn't some kind of a predatory expression in their society. Though if they've been to Earth and the spaceport in the Atlantic then they are probably used to the expression to some degree, even if that were the case.

She turns back to Roberto. "Wow. I mean. Ok yeah. You've had your surprises before. But... but wow," she says.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney is torn away from her thoughtful glances at the Dorabooties and their method of communicating which was... almost reassuring to her own senses. The little scents as well as the way they spoke (which she couldn't comprehend) at least made her able to understand their intent. No lying, no fakery. It was nice. BUT... Josh was hurling over there so she winces sympathetically. "Yeah, I think so," she agrees about it being his first teleport. "I don't really even notice it anymore. Like riding a rollercoaster. Just a little swoop and stomach drop and then I'm good. You want a drink, Josh?" she calls out offering to get him one while judiciously keeping her distance currently for the same reason she could smell what the Dorabooties were feeling. Smell.

Roberto's gesture earns a hand lifting to do a side-to-side wobble, followed by two fingers and a tap to her watch.

Then with amusement she glances at Warren to remark, "Looks like you have some fans here too, Warren. And yeah," she has to agree with Kitty, "This is one heck of a surprise. A good one though! I hope."

Joshua Foley has posed:
After clearing his throat, Joshua manages to rally and get back to his feet. Something else to get used to. It's been a lot of getting used to, and it will continue to do so, but yeah. Something else to check off the list.

Now that he's back up and right as rain, he makes his way back over to where the others are as he just tries to take it all in. He's never been in space before, and he's drinking it all in, allowing Gabby to silently communicate to her heart's content while he's clearly taking it all in with natural wonder.

At least until Gabby's question grabs his attention and he ohs, a nod and a smile offered. "A water would be great." he admits to Gabby. "Or maybe something that is light in a soda, like Sprite or 7-Up, just to make sure things are settled." Of course, he is also considering getting it himself so she doesn't feel put upon.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren Worthington grins at Berto, "Well, you just tell...all that you just said and let my reps know it so they can get me one of these things. I'm okay with you being first, but I will not tolerate Bruce Wayne having one of these before I do," he says.

He's keeping his shades on for now, his blonde hair grown just short of his shoulders now. "Impressing women remains the most useful and flexible skill worth having. I'd take it over all that scientific acumen. Seems a little unfair for you to have both in such abundance," he says to Berto as he makes his way to greet the others - Gabby he knows sa bit, Josh less so, remembering the boy from the incident when he was brought in, "Glad to see you doing well," he says, then greets Kitty by fluttering up to float over to her and catch her with a kiss on the cheek, "Katherine. Always good to see you out and about."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto Da Costa nods sagely to Gabby, and smiles. "Maybe keep Yana for the advanced class." He laughs, "Ahh, ginger ale, should help to settle. I'm sure you'll be ready for the Churrasco in no time, they have a bit of a different spice palate which modifies the dish, it's interesting, still tasty but a little different."

Berto smiles, "Thanks, I was working hard to keep this a surprise." He stops to take in the view, "It's crazy, Lived here my whole life and never realized how beautiful it is even from the satelite." He stops to bask in the glow of the sun. "Most people never see it like this, hey, who else am I gonna share it with. I mean you know Rogue and space." He grimaces, and chuckles, "I will make sure you get one before Bruce, though I mean he has a lot on his plate... whatever it is he does. I'm not a tech wiz, that's Kate's bag. I'm just good with people and money... that came out wrong." He bites his lip, the moves on, "Yeah, Macarena, lets get the tour started. Engine room or Bridge?" He looks at the Dorabootie quizzically, which prompts her to lead the way into other parts of the ship.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde smiles at the kiss to her cheek and brushes her fingers briefly over Warren's shoulder. "You too. Waaaaay out and about," Kitty replies to him with a meaningful glance towards the view of the solar system.

"You know the other thing that helps?" Kitty says towards Joshua as he seeks a balm for his post-teleport stomach. "Taking off your shoes and gripping carpet. Like in Die Hard? Not kidding. Just don't do it in front of the Shi'ar royal court."

The wink that follows might make some of that a joke. Or not. It's tough to tell from her expression. Maybe just the last part. Kitty turns back to Roberto and says, "Bridge would be great to see." Both because the programmer is curious. And because with their luck in space they may end up needing to pilot the ship.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney steps over toward the food areas intending to find a drink, her nose already sniffing out the directions to it. Though it seems one of the industrious servers waiting to do their job offers Gabby something which smells... vaguely right? Right enough. "Thanks!" She too flashes her teeth with a happy grin but she also tries to exude 'happiness' along with it. Maybe she could communicate better with them that way? ... Could she? Some of her siblings could control their pheremones, but she'd never tried. It was kind of weird.

The drink is taken back to Josh to offer up with a little bemused grin at his odd shade of tarnished brass currently. "You'll get better. Kitty might have the better idea of how to deal with it though, I mean... Even without the healing factor I also can't feel pain so I kind of cheat on most things."

"Ooh tour. Yeah. Is it like Star Trek on the bridge?"

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren Worthington smiles, "I never have any sort of stomach upset. One of the benefits of my own mutant physiology. Even if I eat Thai," he says. "It's good to be an angel."

"I'm sorry, Roberto, you're trying to show off and we're being terribly rude by socializing instead. What do you want to show us? Do you have a little space dinghy you can take out? Is there an anti-gravity room where I could experience the miracle of flight?" he says with a playful grin.

"Best fix is probably a stiff drink, Joshs. Go on, there's no drinking age in space."

Joshua Foley has posed:
"Yeah, when we get to a good stopping point, I'll try that." Joshua responds to Kitty when Gabby returns with the drink and he chuckles. "I must look a mess." he admits, before accepting the drink from her. "Thank you. And yeah, I'm still getting used to my own healing factor working overtime, like all the time."

The concensus seems to be for the bridge, and Joshua is on board with that, of course, space yacht, bridge. Come on, it has to look like the Enterprise, right? Probably not, but a mutant can dream.

His hand is offered to Gabby now that he's more steady and he waits to follow along with the rest of the tour, still just looking at everything in wonderment. "This is so amazing." he says in a quiet aside to Gabby. "Have you ever been in space before?" He's sure she has!

Roberto da Costa has posed:
The server seems pleased by Gabby's display, you can see her little tail moving under her jumpsuit. Macarena leads the way to the bridge, with a quick stop in the hydroponics bay.

Macarena shows them to a small patch of grass, "We do not have 'rugs' <she struggles with the word> but we do have grasses for the grazing pleasure of the crew, if you seek to make a connection with the ground?" She blinks. Then leads the way onto the bridge, it's small after the ledo deck and less open than you might expect. It has a central command chair and forward facing navigator and pilot stations, with other functions around the circle of the room. It does look roughly Star Trekky, though more Enterprise than Next Generation. It almost has a bit of steam punk motif.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty smiles to Macarena as they walk along. "Oh thank you, that's a very kind offer," Kitty says warmly. "So how far away is your home planet? How long does it take for a round trip when you have a load of cargo to take back?" she asks, the words directed at Macarena to engage the translator, though also looking over to Roberto with the question as well.

When they reach the bridge, Kitty's curiosity is on display as she's looking at the various monitors and controls, though not touching anything. Perhaps trying to make out what each area is responsible for, some of which might be easy, other parts more difficult with not understanding whatever markings the controls have.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney gives a little snort at mention of drinking. "I'm not sure it'd effect him... Would it? Drinking doesn't do anything for me." Unfortunately. She'd seen and been through enough at times that she could certainly use a stiff drink.

They were on the move though, the tour having begun, and she finds her hand taken by Josh again. This time she tries not to accidentally squish it. Instead she just gives a little reassuring squeeze trying to help soothe him some, if she can. "Yeah, I've been in space a few times. The satelitte, which I'm sure Roberto has been visiting QUITE OFTEN given he smells like a mutual person we know." A look is shot toward Roberto with eyebrows raising a bit. The topic was being to space, though. "And a few times on rescue missions. ... Man I want to get my hands on one of those Kryptonian space suits full time. So awesome."

Joshua Foley has posed:
Following the others to the bridge, his hand settled with Gabby's, Joshua is totally taking in the vibe of the whole space bridge thing. "...warp factor 2, second star to the right and on to morning..." he says, mainly to himself, before he looks to Gabby and takes in her story.

But they are on carpet! And following Kitty's advice, he uses his free hand to remove his shoes and starts to knead his feet into the carpet. Oh, that's nice and his eyes go wide as he realizes exactly how well it works. Relief shows as his brassy skin color becomes more of a natural gold and he slips his shoes back on. "That was an awesome idea, Kitty, thank you."

Then to Gabby. "Satellite? Space rescue missions?" he stops himself. "You can tell me next time!" he suggests to her.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren Worthington smiles, "Oh, there are ways around such things, if you have the resources. And Roberto certainly does. I myself have a high tolerance due to my own regenerative capabilities. Not quite as dramatic as either of yours, mind," he says, gesturing towards Gabby and Josh.

"Usually Asgardian mead or Olympian wine. The food of the gods for the metabolism of the gods," he says. "Expensive to import. You might have to deal with goblins," he says, touching a finger to his nose.

"How do the toilets work?"

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Macarena smiles or what approaches one for the Adorabooties, with an added nose twitch. "The transit is a full season there and back and with a traditional shift drive, the new drive will cut that in half. Patron's Beto's resources have been a boon to we cu'utiepeez." She blinks, "Toilets? Oh! Yes, the release stations." She indicates a space off the bridge showing Warren the location, "It may be a bit cramped for your flutterbyes."

Berto coughs, "I will have you know that I bathe regularly." He offers a faint smile. But then seems to notice flurry of activity around them. The Adorabooties are chittering to each other in a serious tone and the scent in the room has soured to a worried scent.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde grins over at Joshua as he tries the Die Hard trick. "Now as long as we don't have German mercenaries after bearer bonds we should be in good shape," she kids with him. She notices the hand holding and gives Gabby a quick, approving smile whenever their eyes meet next.

The mention of Asgardian mead brings a hard exhalation from Kitty. "And the hangover of the gods," she adds to Warren's comment and shaking her head.

As the toilets are discussed, Kitty moves over to look over one of the Dorabooties' shoulders at their station. The increased level of agitation they exhibit causes her to look around for a cause. Her eyes settle on a screen that seems to be functioning like a radar. "There something inbound?" she asks Macarena, motioning towards a blip on it.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
When Berto noticed and signed his question it was one thing. When Kitty notices, somehow that was FAR more embarassing to Gabby. Healing factor or not it doesn't stop her from turning a bit red at the looks sent her way. She jumps on the talk of alcohol as a distraction.

"Oh, I could probably ask Emma to get me some if I really want, or something, but I tried some Angelus once and it was ... weird." Not tasty either.

Further talk of the topic is ground to a halt. Her eyebrows knit together, and lips purse, as the scent in the air changes completely. "They're anxious. What's going on? Trouble?"

Joshua Foley has posed:
When Gabby starts to talk of trouble with the crew, Joshua shifts gears. He releases her hand so that she can move more freely, and he watches the others, looking for a cue to figure what he could do, and where to go should he need to help.

Because he is really tired of being the victim or Reavers and Psychic Vampires and all that. He's going to make it right. Somehow.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Macarena's eyes go wide and her scent turns to fear, she starts to cower but blinks and steadies herself at the question, "Pirates, I am sorry but we are about to be boarded by pirates. We have never seen Pirates on this route, they are rarely so bold." The captain is chirping orders, the Adorabooties seem grimly determined.
Berto steps forward, "Have the Captain put them on the screen. We have some pull with pirates." He smiles to Kitty and Warren. The captain blinks and nods, chirping to the communications station.

The grim face of the space pirate Owen appears on the screen, "Avast, ye scurvy space swags. Heave to and render up your booty or we'll be feasting on Piglet this eve!" The adorbooties cower, except the captain.
"Berto steps forward, "Captain, there's been a misunderstanding. We're guests of the Adorabooties and we are X-Men, friends of the Starjammers." He nods to Warren and Kitty. "We have no quarrel with you, I'm sure this is all a-" The Dread Pirate Owen seem aghast and barks orders to his crew as they cut the feed.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde rests her hands on the back of the chair of the alien at the radar console. Watching over their shoulder until Roberto begins addressing the pirate captain on screen.

As he cuts the feed, one of Kitty's eyebrows goes up. "Um, either that was very good or bad, I figure," she says. She glances to Macarena. "Is the ship armed for dealing with these kind of situations? How much threat do they pose?"

She's aware if they get blown apart then their powers aren't going to have much chance to play a role.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"If things go South, I'm just gonna suggest porting over to THEIR ship is probably the quickest way to deal with them. I mean, for those of us who can fight. Tactically speaking," Gabby remarks. "If they're leaving their ship to come here, hey, free pirate ship. Plus that'd probably be something they want to trade back for."

Joshua Foley has posed:
"I don't think they are considering blowing us to bits if they are discussing boarding us. But I'm assuming we can't outrun them?" Joshua asks, even as his golden hue starts to darken.

As he shifts slowly from gold to black, he sets his jaw. He's not going to run. Or hide. And he knows Kitty's right. And Gabby has a great idea as well.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
"Our armaments are minimal. This vessel is still experimental, some of the systems are not what I would wish... " The ships rocks with blasts and exclamations come from around the bridge, "Shields are failing! They have targeted the drive! They are boarding us!" There is a chorus or high pitched whines at this last report is heard and the scent of the bridge edges toward despair.

"Well, that could have gone better." He turns to the group, "Don't I bring you to the best party's? Let's go fight some pirates, yar!" He turns to the captain's chair, "Captain, do you have marines? Soldiers? Repellers?"
The captain blinks, "Rappellers, yes!" he whistles and calls up a team of stout short space hampsters in light armor with short swords and shields. The lead hampsters says, "Oi, you gonna fit da big bad wit' us? We'll give dem wattfor we will." HIs voice is high-pitched but his tone still almost manages menace. "We go!"

Then there is a screeching sound, a sound of horror and failure. "he drive is failing we are losing containment. It will go nova and consume us all!"
Berto nods nonchalantly, "Right, that sounds like a me problem." He looks around, "So, you guys take care of the pirates and I'll go keep the ship from... going nova... so solar drive wasn't a metaphor. I need to have better tech people. Anyway, sound good?" He looks to each of you in turn nodding, and then claps his hands.

The three of you and the majority of Adolescent radioactive samurai hampsters appear on the pirate ship in a flash and Berto takes the lead hampster and another towards the engine room.

You appear on the Pirate bridge facing a mixed bag of a crew, there are eight pirates on the bridge including dread pirate Owen who is a cyborg bulldog person. The others are humans, variants of humans mostly a couple of teal cat-people

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde leans forward over the console and asks Macarena, "Have them pull up a map of the ship would you?" When the aliens respond, Kitty is studying it closely, asking where they are now. Glancing around at the room and back at the map as she gets an idea of scale.

The alien translator asks, "Are you planning out a defense?"

Kitty shakes her head. "Just trying to figure out what's where so I don't accidentally go through the hull into space." She straightens from the screen and turns to the others. "Don't know what their guns do, so be careful," she offers. Between Gabby and Joshua Foley's healing abilities, and Kitty's phasing to avoiding needing healing, they have a bit of synergy between them.

When they appear on the pirate bridge, Kitty moves fight into action. She runs forward, kicking one of the pirates in the head before he's able to make it out of his chair. Another pirate starts to draw a sidearm on her. Kitty drives right through him, grabbing and phasing the sidearm out of his hands and rolling to her feet with the weapon, turning it on them. "Surrender!" she yells.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Lack of arms? Not an issue for Gabby! When the swordsmen come over she lifts a fist in the air from which a single claw pops out. "Ready and able to fight!" She declares boldly to the high-pitched voice of the apparent unit commander. Maybe they wouldn't be terribly surprised at her claws given they'd already seen Warren with his wings before he had to toddle off to the little angel's room.

Her attention shifts over to the color-shifting Josh to flash him a grin as well. "It'll be fine," she assures. "Berto can handle the explosions, we can handle the pirates, aaaand..." The pirtaes come into view. "Man I suddenly wish I had a bouncy ball with me. Left it in my other pants." Would that work on a dog and cat people? Who knows but it's an experiment she would try.

For now, though? The be-clawed girl runs flat out at the pirates with a cry of, "LEEEEROY JEEENKINS!" Only to throw her weight back into a baseball slide right before any guns go off so that she bowls right through a trio of cat pirates swiping at their guns as she passes with slightly glowing claws.

Joshua Foley has posed:
Yes, Joshua can heal. Everyone knows that ability and most have seen it in action. But when it comes to it, as Joshua shifts to black, the other part of his powers make their presence known.

With Gabby and Kitty on the attack, Joshua plays defense. With no weapons, he relies on those that get to close to him -- and within his touching distance. As soon as they do, the dark mutant reaches out, grabbing skin.

He does not understand their alien physiology, but when it comes to harm, he doesn't really need to, as soon as he gets a basic biokenetic grasp of their makeup, he's immediately breaking it.

He causes hemmoraging, breaking, wounding, the failure of organs and muscles spasms, his eyes narrowed. Because with Gabby on the charge, he only looks at her. And he smiles. A little part of him is actually enjoying the way that well, it's a better date than the last two tried.

No more fear. No more worry. He needs to save himself. And that is what he is going to do, even as some of the aliens are realizing they need to get as far away from him as possible.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto Da Costa moves through the ship quickly with the hampsters but slides to a stop in front of pirate guarding the door engineering. He is in his vanta black powered form as the pirate draws down on him and he blinks, he doesn't have a lot of time to think and the pirate fires the weapon. Berto winces but it's an energy weapon that he absorbs with a sigh. He deals with the pirate and rips open the hatch to engineering as the hampsters charge in.$r$r$tBoarding Team X makes quick work of the pirates as Josh turns their bravado and has them scrambling for the airlocks to avoid his touch, several pirates abandon ship to get away from him as others fall to his touch. Gabby's Leroy Jenkins charge the villains, and topples them like bowling pins, then she gets the upper claw in the scrum to follow making the cats hiss and struggle but remain down.
The ninja is backed up by a team of seven samurai as they rush the pirates and the Bulldog cyborg growl, "Yar, yes starjammer exes are too bad fer us. We surrender, what manner of drive have ye aboard yon vessel? The energy readings, if she blows she will take us all along with the other ship. We must flee if ye want to live!"

Berto is in the engine room and the samurai hampsters have waylaid the pirates as Berto talks with the lead engineer, standing before a miniature sun. "So, it- it's a miniature sun, you made a miniature sun and decided to run a ship with it."
"It is an immense source of power we were supposed to have better shielding but the voyage was moved up and we didn't have time to install it."

"No, right, I get it, and now it's going to explode... you need to drop the shielding it won't protect us if it goes off anyway, let me get in there."
The engineer looks at Berto like he's crazy but Berto gives him a re-assuring nod, "I got this, it will be fine."
The engineer drops the shield and Berto steps forward, his body going blacker in the bright light. He reaches out and feeds, this is how his power works, right? But he's never been so close, he pulls the energy come to him, he can feel the power so much power as he east the star. The energy readings stabilize and then start to drop, it's a long few minutes as Berto pulls the power from the dwarf star until it is left a sputtering spark of a flame, barely enough to run life support and basic functions. He pulls himself away with an effort of will. His body crackling with power. "Okay, wow, that is a rush."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde turns her gun towards Owen. "You were the one who put it in that situation. Guess you're going to have to stick around find out how it ends," she tells him.

Though that doesn't stop her from waving one of the pirates towards a console. "Open a communications relay to the other ship," she says. Whenever that has gone through, Kitty relays the situation on the ship. "We're in control of the bridge here. Do you need to evacuate to this ship?"

If so, they at least have a way back down to Earth.
