It's All Greek to Me
Date of Scene: 27 October 2023
Location: American Museum of Natural History
Synopsis: Emma meets with Mary to talk quietly at the museum.
Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Mary Bromfield

Emma Frost has posed:
There's a display over in the Museum of Natural History of some Greek artifacts from the fall of Sparta. Ones seized from smugglers and on display for a short time before being sent back to Greece.
It was enough a reason as any for Emma to catch up over with the Internet Star and talk some. So she's waiting over in one of the exhibition halls musing.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary comes in after a few moments, though still a bit early compared to the time that was given to meet. She doesn't have her phone out for streaming, at least, instead she's taking a few pictures of the exhibit as she goes along, looking surprisingly fascinated by the relics recovered from Sparta. Occasionally she hrms and murmurs something into her phone while she takes the photos.

Eventually, she comes over to "Ms. Frost! Thanks for the invitation, though how'd you know I was interested in this? I can't even remember mentioning it to Marie!"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "Hello Mary. And just something different. One normally doesn't see things on display here. Most of the THemysciran artifacts tend to go to the Metropolitain or the Smithsonian. So merely coincidence. It merely seemed like something different." Most of her knowledge came from the Themyscirans and from too much time spent in whatever ongoing catastrophe that was being sucked into the void that was Loki.

"I hope that you're doing well as of late."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary nods, "Yes, doing the streaming full time... well, and finishing college too, it seems to be working pretty well." She smiles, "Thanks again for the place, that helps a LOT, but people seem to be liking what I do online, so I think I might be able to go all in on this."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "Lovely. Good for you for having a career ahead of you and making your own path. Being self employed is difficult but for many rewarding. Getting to set their own hours, agenda.. And you have Marie-Ange to keep you on track."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary smiles, "And she's definitely really good at that. Made sure I didn't push myself too hard after a... um." She pauses, "Accident. Yeah, had a minor mishap so was laid up for a few days." And wow, is Mary a terrible liar.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would just glance over at Mary and let out a sigh, "You're an adult. You can make your own decisions. And Marie-Ange can correct you on them. I hope that you had a smooth recovery from it." Yes, Emma's aware she's being lied to. Very badly. But she's not going to call the girl on it for politeness' sake.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary quickly changes the subject, as if aware that Emma is humoring her rather bad attempt at deception. "Yeah, Marie's the best. I still can't believe how lucky I am sometimes." She grins, "She's... well, she's just everything to me."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "You two fit one another and make one another happy. That's something so rare and is to be encouraged and treasured. And means the world to me for seeing her so happy."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary glances over at Emma, "Well, whatever makes her happy, makes me happy. I mean, that's not ALL that makes me happy, but she just means so much to me." She laughs softly, "I guess I'm a bit of a romantic after all."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would laugh, "Good, enough of us aren't that it's nice to see sometimes that dreams do come true. So what are some of your other projects beyond your pursuits in streaming?" Emma can haphazard a few guesses but makes a point of giving the girl her other life's privacy.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary smiles, "Well, actually, I've been working on some merchandising, not only for my streaming but also for BaristaCats. I run that Twitter account online, and it's... well, even more popular than my streams. Just cats in coffeeshops and it has a crazy following. So that's the main thing I'm working on right now, trying to think of something people would want to wear or show off with that."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would laugh, "That sounds rather unique. And I take it that you've had enough experience in that to avoid some of the somewhat harsher elements?" By that Emma is very politely putting up with the trolls or some of the other rather obsessive, rough sorts that comes with. "You could come up with plenty of things. Don't rely on a single part of your brand. Branch out."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary nods, "Yeah, I've got a pretty good mod team working my chat to avoid some of the real supercreepsters. Wish I didn't have to deal with it, but well, I'm a woman online, it's just a magnet for those asshats."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod, "Oh, that's a universal no matter the field or origin. Well, I suppose the Themyscirans have avoided that particular facet of existence but the rest of humanity hasn't quite had the capability to do so. Good for your team to have things well in hand."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary nods, "Yeah, I wish I knew more about the Themyscirans. They just seem so awesome." She smiles a bit, "Honestly, I'd love to visit their island sometime, but that seems pretty far-fetched."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "They're rather approachable at the Embassy. So while I can't say they would let visitors come to the island, they certainly would there. You might not meet the Princess but therea re others there you could interact with."

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary hrms, "Well, maybe I could bring Marie along for some emotional support when I do it. I bet she'd love a chance to meet them." She grins a little, "I might just have to do that now."
