Joshua Foley has posed:
Usually, two days out of the week, Joshua works a shift at the mutant town clinic helping to treat the injured that may come in. It has been a day and a half since the mall date, and Sara and Joshua's paths have crossed a few times - but usually when they are heading in seperate directions.

In one of the small examination rooms in the Mutant Town Clinic, he is currently working on a resetting the broken arm of a young child that had fallen from her front stairs while trying to chase a kitten.

"What did the kitten look like?" he asks her as he assesses the arm. "Can you tell me all about it?"

The girl perks. "She was orange! And had white stripes! It was a little kitty, I hope I can find it when I get home!"

As she talks, a nurse nudges the door. "Joshua? You have a guest. A very pretty brunette, says she's your girlfriend."

Joshua looks confused for just a second and then smiles, his cheeks blushing. "You can send her back!" When Sara arrives, Joshua is focusing on the girl's arm and she can see a golden aura that rises and arcs around the arm as Joshua focuses on the injury, and the arm just starts to knit itself back together.

"That tickles!" the girl exclaims.

He's in a t-shirt and a pair of slacks - again, showing off the skin he needs available to make it work.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
The precinct form which Sara works is in Bushwick. The NYPD has chosen that location for the Special Investigation Unit because it was mutant territory, the very sort of people the unit was being trained to deal with.

As lunch time rolled around, she headed up the street from the precinct toward the clinic. Greeting the nurse with a nod and introducing herself, she waits for the woman to return then follows her back to where Joshua is with the girl.

Remaining silent, she watches him mending the girls arm with ease, and even chuckles quietly when the girl claims it tickles.

Joshua Foley has posed:
Once the arm is set and settled, Joshua pulls his hands back. "There you go!" he says with a grin, "Try to swing your arm."

The girl swings her arm. "It doesn't hurt!"

"That's great!" he offers to her, and reaches over to get a lollipop out of a drawer and hands it to her. "The nurse will take you to your mother. You don't go chasing kitties off the stairs, okay?"

"Okay Mister Doctor sir!" And when that, she is hopping down to head out the door.

Joshua turns his attention to Sara as the girl passes her by. "Hi, sweetheart." he greets her. "How's work?" With that, he's unwrapping a sucker for himself to chew on. He looks tired. He's slightly slumped, his golden glow slightly dulled, even his usual warm smile is a little less. It's been a busy day.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Sara steps out of the way so the girl can go past, eyes following the cheerful child all the way out, then move back to Joshua. "Another plague of micro Imps at the community college," she sighs, crossing the room to leans against the desk. "I'm beginning to see the pattern of their release, which means we should be able to predict the next emergence and be there to stop it."

Having answered his question, she leans to place a soft kiss on his forehead, "You look tired. Have you had lunch yet?"

Joshua Foley has posed:
Joshua loosely drapes his arms around her. "I'm a little peckish." he admits as he leans against her. "Been a bit of a day. That was a broken arm. Had someone with a goose egg on their head, a couple of sprains and one broken leg." he explains.

"They use me for light wounds, cause those don't have to be reported. I'm only used for the big stuff if it's a real emergency. But the more I use my powers, the more I need to recover." he explains. "I don't know if I ever told you that. That's why I only do this two days a week."

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Pulling out her phone, Sara pulls up the menu of the places that will actually deliver to Bushwick and offers him a view. "You sort of mentioned needing recovery time, but not really with much details," she says, pointing out the Italian place as she adds, "Good lasagna here." then continues on with the original topic.

"It's probably a good thing you only do this a couple times a week, though I do have to ask... have you found anything that helps you recover more quickly?" She had been guessing by his appearance when she arrived that it was some sort of life force exchange to heal someone. If he was at this state of being from so few minor things, she also wondered at how bad he would be with a real emergency.

Joshua Foley has posed:
"So, imps, huh?" Joshua asks curiously, but Sara guides the conversation back to the discussion him. he leans over her shoulder to look at the menu. "Lasagna, huh? Do they have a meatball poboy?" he asks her, a light kiss to her cheek.

He was just about to start talking about what makes him recover more quickly, when the door opens. "Josh! We have a G.S.W. Abdomen!" the nurse calls out.

"Crap!" he mutters, and squeezes Sara quickly before pulling away. "I've got to take care of this." He can't send them to the hospital. As he washes up, the patient, a mutant that has large ram horn like protusions on his head is carried in and sat upon the table. "What happened?" Joshua asks as he finishes washing his hand. And as he moving towards the patient, he's pulling off his shirt. She can now see exactly how finely toned and wiry he is. Fit, lean, a well-formed six pack.

"He was just walking down the street and someone yelled 'Fuck you mutie!' and shot him." If Sara has her phone, she's probably getting the alert of it, and there's already units responding.

The man moans, a loud, painful bray as Joshua comes over. "I know it hurts, just... give me a second, okay?"

With that, he's moving to cut open the man's shirt and he sticks his hands directly into the wound.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
"They do, one of the best in NYC," Sara replies and then there is medical chaos.

Keeping herself leaned against the desk out of the way, she watches as the mutant is brought in and Joshua goes to work. Sure, her phone is sounding off the 911 call, voices speaking in her ear through the bluetooth ear piece, but Joshua shirtless grabs all of her attention.

Snapping herself out of is she stands up a little straighter. If he's taking his short off, that means he's about to use more skin to skin contact to heal the mutant and thus drain himself even more. For one brief instant her eyes glass over, two heart beats and then they return to normal. She and Witchblade were in agreement.

"They got the guy," she offers calmly. "He didn't get far before my unit was on him... is there anything I can do to help?"

Joshua Foley has posed:
"Good!" Joshua calls out, before the man yells in his ear. "I know, I know!"

And without any warning, the man's whole abdomen is encased in that golden glow. Joshua starts rattling off every part of the abdomen and is focusing on the right kideny and stomach. There's blood, quite a bit, but Sara can see, around Joshua's hands, the wound is starting to knit.

At one point, the bullet is expelled, Josh snags it with one hand out of the air and drops it in a dish. "For your investigation, love." he offers to Sara as he puts the hand back down and finishes sealing the wound.

Joshua's ability put the man over, and he's unconscious on the table. Shaking off his hands, Joshua stumbles back a few steps and slumps to the floor, head bowed down as he tries to recover. "Gatorade... and an electrolyte pack." he says, raising an arm weakly to gesture to the mini-fridge in the corner.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Reaching into her her jacket pocket, Sara pulls out a rubber glove and a small ziplock with the word 'Evidence' across it. Using the glove to pick up the bullet, she drops it into the bag and seals it, then the bag does into the inner pocket of her jacket.

Dropping the rubber glove into a garbage can, she turns back toward Joshua just in time to see him go down. Instinct has her take several steps toward him as she sucks in a sharp breath, but his request takes precedence over her desire to try and catch him.

Darting to the fridge she grabs a Gatorade at random, then an electrolyte pack before zipping over to Josh and kneeling down. "Is this common?" she asks softly, concern filling her tone.

Joshua Foley has posed:
Taking the electrolyte pack, he opens it. Then opens the Gatorade. A swig from the bottle, and then he empties the pack into the bottle and shakes it up. With that done, he chugs it back, nearly draining it in several large gulps. Everything that he is doing should tell her -- he's been through this song and dance, a lot.

"Used to be once a day. Worked it up to once every couple of weeks." he answers her honestly. "I just need a little rest and I'll be right as rain." he promises her as he pushes back to his feet.

Turning, he washes the blood off of his hand and scrubs. A glance towards the nurse. "Call an ambulance, he's stable to travel and they'll want to check him out -- and give the police a chance to interview him, before he's released."

That done, his attention returns to Sara. "So. Italian? I know you don't have much time, but that... that's my day being done."

Sara Pezzini has posed:
The agreement made between Sara and Witchblade now comes to fruition. The Gauntlet form over the sleeve of her work jacket, apparently at some point Witchblade decided that shredding just one sleeve wasn't worth his time.

While Joshua is washing his hands, she lays the Gauntlet against his cold back. The metal should be cold, and usually it is covered in sharp blade like scales, but at the moment it is perfectly smooth. As the metal touches his golden skin, he can feel a warmth spread through his body. Much like the effect the Gatorade and electrolytes will have in time, the magical energy of the Witchblade washes over him and revitalizes him.

"I already ordered you a Meatball Poboy, and me some lasagna," she states as she takes the Gauntlet off him. "And two Italian sodas, because they are authentic and tasty."

Joshua Foley has posed:
Joshua's eyes go wide when he feels the metallic touch on his back. It takes a moment, but he settles and closes his eyes to let the affect wash over him. When she removes the gauntlet, she can see her hand print as a brighter glow then the rest - could he have been trying to unconsciously treat her in return.

"Thank you, Pez." he offers as he picks up his shirt to slip it on. "That sounds good." He moves to give her a hug, his arms settling around her mid-section as he meets her green eyes with his grey ones. "Got any plans tonight?"

Sara Pezzini has posed:
By the time he has his shirt on, the Gauntlet is gone and Sara is standing there with a soft smile on her face. It had worked. Both she and Witchblade had questions if the healing effect would be enough to recharge Josh, but magic has a funny way of working when everything else fails.

Returning the hug, perhaps holding on a little longer she steps back and returns to leaning against the desk. "I was thinking of breakfast for dinner and watching John Wick," she replies, taking a moment to reach over and caress the side of his neck. "Or some other action movie, just feeling actiony."

Joshua Foley has posed:
Honestly, Joshua hadn't even thought of the idea, but yes, it had worked. With thet shirt tugged back into position, he leans into her touch and considers her plans for the evening. "Oooh, Brupper." Because obviously breakfast for supper.

Then she caresses his neck and she can feel the slight shudder through him, her touch still excites him to no end. "...action movie sounds good. Hope you don't mind if I watch in my pajamas?" he asks. "Was going to grab a shower as soon as I was through the door. But if that's too much of a temptation..."

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Sara laughs, pulling her hand away. "You can watch in your boxers for all I care. Shower up, slip into some jammies, kick back and relax."

She continues to listen to the conversations happening on the police radio, then reaches up to tap the earpiece, "The bullet has been retrieved, find the gun to ensure ballistics."

Removing her hand, she folds her arms across her chest. "My mother called it Brinner, but I like brupper. There's this diner about eight blocks from the house that does these amazing omelettes and their french toast is worth murdering for. Thankfully we don't have to murder, we just have to order."

Joshua Foley has posed:
"I don't know if you could control yourself if I was just in boxers." Joshua points out with amusement. "And I want you to be ready for that."

As she talks to her peers, he moves to pick up his gear and put it away. His attention turns as she is explaining the diner and all. "You mind picking it up on the way home then?" he asks her as he comes over. And with one sleeve shredded, his hand caresses over the bare skin that is offered there. He doesn't say anything, just enjoys the feel of her bare skin on his - it's the most contact they've had outside of hand holding and kissing when it comes to skin on skin contact.

"Maybe I will take you up on that boxers offer."

Sara Pezzini has posed:
Sara wiggles her brows at him as she teases, "Bring it on, maybe I'll wear my boxers too."

With a laugh she adds, "I'll pick up dinner, just need to know if you want a three or five egg omlette."

Joshua Foley has posed:
"I should be fine with three." Joshua says and then surprisingly, she rises to the challenge. "Okay." he chirps.

A lean into her and a kiss against her mouth. "Let's have lunch, and tonight will be boxers night. We should watch like Rocky or something. A boxing movie. Boxers for boxing."

Perfectly logical to him.

Sara Pezzini has posed:
The food arrives via a teenager on roller skates. Sara pays for the bag of food and gives the girl a tip then looking back to Josh grins, "Rocky it is. Boxer night with boxing... I love boxing," she tosses that last part in as she carries the food over.

"Let's get to lunch before I'm late getting back to work."
