Cast of Characters: Julia Carpenter, Danny Rand

Julia Carpenter has posed:
Julia has been rushing around the city, both for her job and for her 'side gig'. Now, now she needs to stop and get some food or she's likely to start hearing the complaints from her stomach! Since she's in the area, she decides to try out that asian eatery that got mentioned a few days back. Apparently they make some really great noodle dishes!

Out of costume and into a normal outfit, Julia makes her way towards the Royal Dragon Restaurant. She's in a long-sleeved tee, comfortably worn jeans, a nice shearling coat, and some stylishly functional boots. That long strawberry-blonde mane is kept in a braid that reaches to her hips.

Checking her phone, she nods, plenty of time. Tucking it away again, she glances both ways before darting across the street (gasp, jaywalking!) between traffic.

Danny Rand has posed:
The Royal Dragon restaurant. Home of the best Chinese food in town and the owner happens to be a good friend of Danny Rand-Kai, CEO of Rand Enterprises and currently...dressed like anybody off of the street. A hoodie is worn over his chest and some simple jeans on his legs. His feet are adorned with some cheap sandals from Walmart.

In short....the attire of legend.

Danny opens the restaurant door and in fluent Chinese goes <<Hello my friend! Can I have some shrimp lo-mein and some crab rangoon please?>> the server gives a smile and a nod to Danny, even agreeing to give him some complementary chicken! The owner claims it's his best batch yet.

Thoug hhe turns his head and he notices Julia Carpenter fast approaching! So he holds the door open for her. "Oh hi there. In a rush? I can ask the server to prepare you something quick."

Julia Carpenter has posed:
Moving a little faster now that someone is holding the door for her, Julia slips inside the restaurant and offers a quick smile towards Danny. "Thank you. No, not overly. If you're in a hurry, please, don't let me hold you up." That smile brightens a touch.

She slips around him to snag a menu so she can start looking through it, patiently waiting her turn and taking the opportunity to check out the dishes on offer. "This is actually my first time here, so I thought I'd sit down and do the full experience." Glancing up from the menu towards Danny, smiling quickly. "Anything you'd recommend?"

Regardless of how he dresses, he definitely seems to be familiar with the restaurant, and it's never a bad idea to get the opinion of a local!

Danny Rand has posed:
"Oh no hurry. Just a ton of meetings I'm actively trying to avoid." Did he just say meetings? "The dumplings are pretty good but I have a soft spot for anything noodles. Lo mein, chow mein.." Her smile is enough to spark one of his own, moving slightly so she can reach around him a little bit easier.

"Well if it's your full experience, can I be your tour guide?" Danny asks her with a smile on his face. "If you don't mind company anyway. If you're in a rush I can fully beat it." He smiles at her kindly.

He gestures at one of the booths that lie against the wall. "I recommend one of the walk booths. The owner just got new cushions and they are *nice*."

Julia Carpenter has posed:
Laughing softly, Julia gives a nod, "Meetings that could easily be emails?" It's said with the mirthful tone of someone who has heard that complaint many times. She glances up and grins, "I heard the noodles were great here. Though I will probably also try some of the dim sum. And if all goes well, I'll put in an order for a peking duck to pick up tomorrow. Nice treat to get now and then."

She closes the menu and turns a smile towards him, "I don't mind at all, but if you're joining me, I insist on introductions first." Extending a hand she offers, "Julia Carpenter." Pausing, she adds, "Be warned, I tend to startle people with the amount of food I can put away. My doctor says I have a very *active* metabolism."

GLancing to the booths, she looks back and nods, "That sounds like an excellent plan." Presuming nobody stops her, she'll start heading towards one of the booths!

Danny Rand has posed:
"Do you usually hit the nail on the head?" Danny asks, crossing arms over a fairly athletic chest and a winning smile is sent her way, enhanced by wonderfully blue eyes that seek to look into her own like he was looking for something. Like a place to sit, not like looking for any wrongdoings she's performed.

He's not Ghost Rider! "The Peking Duck is EXTREMELY good. The dim sum is okay, but don't tell the chef I said anything." he stage whispers and immediately seems happy when she agrees to him joining her. "Right on." He tilts his head but does in fact agree: people sitting next to each other should at least be on a first name basis!

"Nice to meet you, Julia. I'm Danny Rand." He lifts his hand to give hers a firm shake, then he looks at where their hands meet like he's surprised. "Wow, your hands are soft. Are you a masseuse?" He asks, then clears his throat. "Sorry, that was weird."

And he starts walking with her to the booth! "What do you think you'll get to drink?"

Julia Carpenter has posed:
"I don't believe in beating around the bush, no," Julia chuckles softly, setting the menu back in its place and tucking her thumbs into her back pockets. She returns the smile with a positively All American Girl smile of her own. Meeting his eyes, there doesn't seem to be any atrocities in her gaze. Perhaps some mild guilt or unease regarding her work... but really, who doesn't have the occasional pang of guilt over that!

"Good to hear about the duck... though a little disappointing on the dim sum. I love good dim sum." Pantomiming a zipper motion across her lips, she chuckles.

"A pleasure, Danny." She looks surprised when her hands are called soft, then laughs lightly, "First time I've heard that one but... ah, thank you, I guess? Not a masseuse, though. I do IT work for the government. Super thrilling, I know."

Sliding into the booth, Julia smiles at him, "I thought I'd go for hot green tea. Help combat the chill outside, but without the massive caffeine dump."
