Cast of Characters: Conner Kent, Kiden Nixon

Conner Kent has posed:
The Empire State University early November is bustling with activity. Still a month until the winter break, classes are going at full throttle, but tomorrow starts the weekend. The Friday is unseasonably warm, so the greenway is packed with students chatting, lunching or loitering (first years do a lot of loitering). The bulk of the crowd is late teens or very early twenties, as expected.

At Kiden's request, Conner is showing her the place. Ivy League colleges are old and generally top notch education centers, and it shows. Expensive, too. But Kiden wants to try, and why not? If he managed it, anyone can. "That is the Art School, I have almost all my classes there this year." Writing, reading, writing, and more writing.

Kiden Nixon has posed:
Kiden has her arm tucked through his as she looks around the campus with a bright smile. Eagerly checking out everything she can. "There's... way more people than I expected. Not bad! Just... more." Turning the smile up towards him, she looks to where he's pointing.

"Oooooooo.. art could be fun. Bet I could be a kickass photographer. I have *great* timing." She chuckles and gives him another smile, "So what sort of classes are you taking this year? You said it's your last, isn't that usually when you get most of the 'fun' classes?"

Conner Kent has posed:
"It is interesting, but fun... heh, lots of work," he grumbles. "The professors order essays and papers like there is no tomorrow. I can't understand how regular humans manage. I don't need sleep, so some days I can't sleep. No time."

Subjects and classes? Conner sighs. "Lets see. I got Freedom of Speech and Press. Organizational Communication. Investigative Reporting for TV and a couple English and writing courses on the 300s rank whose name I don't care to remember. And a couple seminars that sounded interesting."

Kiden Nixon has posed:
Kiden chuckles and grins up at him, "You know, I'm actually pretty good at writing. It's like.. I can transpose bullshitting onto paper. Neat trick, handy for school." Shaking her head, she offers, "Don't look at me... I can do a week's worth of homework in approximately 10 seconds. I'm literally the worst person to ask about time."

Lifting a brow at the classload, she cants her head, "I would think you'd be down to mostly electives, since the first years tend to be mostly general education classes. The third year is mostly required coursework for the degree..." Then she shrugs and smiles, "I'm looking forward to it anyways."

Conner Kent has posed:
"Ayup, only the English and writing course are required, the rest are all good credits towards the major and minors I want," replies Conner. "I actually would have finished this semester if not because I was kidnapped by NOWHERE and lost a whole month last year." They didn't allow him full credit for his classes, despite passing all the tests, the bastards! "There should be college procedures covering being kidnapped by super-villains. This is New York, after all."

Kiden Nixon has posed:
"Fun! Maybe I'll do photography. Or dance. I could major in dance. Ooooooooo, wonder if I could get an audition to Julliard's. Nah, probably not, I don't know people with that kinda pull. Still. Dance would be cool!" Kiden smiles up at Conner and leans in against him, "Well, I'm kinda glad you didn't. Otherwise you couldn't be showing me around now. And I couldn't be trying to be the mysterious hot girlfriend none of your campus friends know about." Winking, Kiden chuckles, "I wouldn't disagree. An extension, at the very least. Makeup tests."

Conner Kent has posed:
Conner scratches his nape, "You know? I am not sure if the ESU has even a good dance program. To be honest they get most of their good reputation for the sciences program. A bunch of novel prize winners studied here, I think there are a couple among the staff right now." Even journalism students like him are a tiny minority in a campus of ten thousand. "But anyway, you don't even have to pick a major the first year. Just get the basics."

Kiden Nixon has posed:
"Not particularly. Columbia and Julliard are way better. Even NYU does better, I think," Kiden smiles up at him and reaches down to lace her fingers through his. She gives a squeeze to his hand and chuckles, "I know, but I... I don't know. I put my life on hold for so long, I just want to.. go, and do, and try." She glances around the campus again and sighs softly, "I guesss I just... want to join the world again. And now that I can, I'm eager to do it." She lifts his arm and drapes it over her shoulders, "Especially when I have such a great tour guide."
