Date of Scene: 28 November 2023
Location: New York City
Synopsis: On Patrol, Hellcat crosses paths with not just Poison Ivy again, but Madelyne Pryor as well.
Cast of Characters: Patsy Walker, Madelyne Pryor, Pamela Isley

Patsy Walker has posed:
The crisp fall weather has given way to a more wintry chill in New York City. People have begun to add layers, including headwear and gloves when the night gets colder, windier.

Some can get by without need for such things, Hellcat being one of them. Something about the costume that keeps her from needing to patrol in something bulkier. Besides, that'd be awkward.

Crossing from one building to another via rooftops as night sets in, she descends into an alley after a few blocks. The sharp yellow-based look is always going to stand out, bright.

Madelyne Pryor has posed:
Madelyne Pryor is out. Why is anyone's question but she's out for the evening, browsing windows or keeping an eye out for scantily clad ladies leaping from rooftop to rooftop. Either or. She's passively scanning, and has found something interesting it seems, as she occasionally flicks her eyes up in the direction of where Hellcat is moving from one building to the next, giving her a glance, and then back to the window she's looking at.

Pamela Isley has posed:
What doesn't stand out is the combination that Pamela is wearing. That of black and green. A slightly heavier black jacket, but not too much so. The cooler fall weather is always a bit of a let down for Pamela, with the shorter days and the decline of greenery. It always did get her a little more lethargic than not. Still, she was out, walking along the street, trying to enjoy as much of the outside air as possible.

A flash of bright yellow does catch Ivy's eye. It is enough to cause a pause in her step. Why would there be a flash of yellow in the otherwise dark alley. And...does Pamela care enough to wander in that direction. Eventually curiosity claims her...and the green-hued female starts her journey towards said alley.

Patsy Walker has posed:
The idea is for Hellcat to cut through the alley en route to another area. She's got that cable-claw but that's too easy an alternative sometimes. As yet unaware of the presence of one person taking stock of the neighborhood, she becomes aware of another shortly, nearly bumping into Pamela on her way out of the alley as she makes a quick turn. "Oh!"

Nimbly, she hops to one side, the sash around her waist trailing behind along with the red hair spilling out the back of her feline cowl. "Sorry! Going too fast. Wait..Ivy?"

Madelyne Pryor has posed:
Well, this is interesting. A woman in a spandex outfit goes down an alley, and is joined by another in a heavy coat. Madelyne waits a few moments for Ivy to head down the alley, before she pivots and starts to walk in that direction as well. She doesn't hurry her pace, rather she just walks along at a steady pace, scanning away for the trap that she suspects must be trying to close around her. The voices nearby make her pause, but...there's something familiar to one of them. She waits, for now.

Pamela Isley has posed:
Ah! Ivy has seen that particular shade of yellow. "I thought I recognized that color. Hello there, Hellcat." Yes, for those looking on, that green-tinted woman looks an awful lot like one Poison Ivy. And...with Hellcat greeting her with the Ivy moniker, that only confirms exactly that assumption. "Out doing good, I see. At least, I imagine so?" The voice lilts up...a question there. But not one Pam expects to be answered.

"Don't let me keep you. Especially if you are on patrol. Granted, I never really understood the whole innate superhero need for patrolling, but hey, if it makes one happy..."

Patsy Walker has posed:
"Mmmmyes, it's another patrol," Hellcat acknowledges in the affirmative, hands at her hips. A breeze still tugs at the end of the sash a few times. "I /could/ be sitting at home right now, watching some TV, but I feel a little more productive this way. When people see someone like me around, maybe they'll think twice about some of the trouble they were going to get into. I know I can't stop everything by myself, but it's an image thing."

Grinning, she adds, "And some people like to get pictures and autographs. Don't worry, I don't think you're one of them. So what are /you/ up to tonight, hmmm?" the woman in the feline-inspired costume asks, a sly grin showing. Eyes skim the area behind the whites of the cowl, likely passing over Maddie as she draws closer.

Madelyne Pryor has posed:
Madelyne Pryor continues to close, and then comes to a stop at the next window. Perhaps she's evesdropping (she is) but, well, she wants to know what brings Poison Ivy out tonight. She also gives a sidelong glance to Hellcat in her outfit. That she's not shivering seems to be somewhat surprising but at the moment she's looking at the lady's body, just waiting for a shiver. Yes.

Pamela Isley has posed:
It seems that more than one person wants to know what Ivy is up to. Not necessarily the window shopper, but at least a couple passerbys are intrigued by the pale green female talking to the costumed Hellcat. And, this isn't the first time that she has heard that question from the superheroine, either. The question does cause Pamela to smile softly. Not secretly...but amusedly.

"Well, I honestly felt like a walk. I like the air, as fresh as New York allows. I could tell you that I was in the area for roller derby practice. I am not sure if you would believe me, but it is true."

A laugh escapes Pam. "it is really a coincidence. No dastardly plan. Just a walk after skating practice."

Patsy Walker has posed:
Hellcat nodding, Hellcat mulls the answer over before saying, "I did hear something about a roller derby thing through the grapevine once. With Harley Quinn, I think?" That gives Ivy a plausible excuse to tie it to, though she /did/ bring up the sport first. "I can appreciate the fresh air, but I'm sure it's fresher in other places than the middle of the city."

There's still no shiver for Maddie to detect. The costume must be insulted well. "Is that another redhead I see over yonder?" she asks in a stage voice. In other words, easy for all to hear.

Madelyne Pryor has posed:
"Roller derby?" Madelyne asks, possibly imagining Ivy in short shorts and a crop top. It's not the worst image to imagine. As she's called out by Hellcat she smirks a little bit, "Well, will wonders never cease, a heroine finds the one redhead on the entire street," she says amicably, giving the woman a once over, before she goes back to checking out Ivy. Because, well, short shorts.

Pamela Isley has posed:
"You heard correctly. Derby Queens. It is Harley's team and she has a habit of calling in favors at the last second." There might be a rolling of the eyes there, because, well, Harley does like being chaotic. "It becomes easier to just prepare for the last minute." And yes...there might have been short shorts involved, though Ivy is currently bedecked with pants. Leather pants, but pants nonetheless. "As far as fresh air...even here is better than Gotham. At least the sun can be seen here."

Green eyes shift to glance over, following Hellcat's gaze. Oh...another redhead. A trio now on the street. That has to make someone nervous. Though, certainly not Ivy. She seems calm and collected.

If Ivy catches Madelyne checking out her assets, it doesn't seem to show. Ivy just takes it in stride.

Patsy Walker has posed:
"Not my thing, but I might come by to watch sometime," Hellcat says. If Maddie is imagining certain things and making note of anything with her eyes, it goes unnoticed by the one in costume. "I do like my routines, but sometimes a little surprise can be good too."

Dangerous words to say around the other two redheads.

"Maybe there's an attraction to others like me," she adds with a hand running through her hair in back. "Like a sort of redhead radar."

Madelyne Pryor has posed:
Madelyne Pryor gooses Hellcat at THAT comment. A little surprise can be good after all. She then grins like a cheshire cat at the feline-styled woman and says, "Just a little surprise?" she asks slyly, and then turns her attention to Ivy, "Well, I shall have to come to one of your...derbies. I think I'd find plenty of things there to enjoy," not least of which is the other redhead standing with her and Hellcat.

Pamela Isley has posed:
"It isn't so much my thing, either. But it does allow to release aggression in a controlled manner. And it gets me out and about. So, there is that."

Pamela does raise an eyebrow at the somewhat forward nature of the third redhead on the street, the one giving the feline adventurer a healthy squeeze. Though, as Madelyne speaks, Ivy cannot help but to offer a slight smile. She knows the tone being used, having used that herself on many an occasion.

"Certainly, feel free to come and watch. I will be certain to put on a show that you will be bound to enjoy."

Same tone? Oh, most definitely.

Patsy Walker has posed:
Fortunately, the eyes of the cowl don't fully show Hellcat's own widening, but when Madelyne reaches in she half-spins, half-hops just out of range with a shortened breath. "..watch it," she warns, on the quiet side. That /did/ qualify as a surprise, leaving her squinting between the pair, the one who can control plants, and the one she really knows nothing about.

But a hand subtly moves behind to make sure everything's in proper order.

Madelyne Pryor has posed:
Ivy's tone catches and keeps Maddy's attention for the time being, though if Ivy is quick she might see Maddy's hand coming back from Hellcat's bottom a little slower than one might expect, "Well, do I really have to wait until your next match to get a glimpse of this show?" she asks in a slightly pouty voice, "No way I can see it earlier?"

A glance to Hellcat making sure everything is in proper order gets a devilish grin, and she says, "I've been watching it since you were bouncing on the rooftop my dear," in reply. What 'it' is, is left up to the listener.

Pamela Isley has posed:
"Well now, it really does depend on what exactly you wish to see. Skimpy outfits? You may need to wait for the derby. Something else? Well...maybe we can discuss. But out in the middle of the street? Certainly not here. I do have a reputation, as I am sure you are quite aware of."

Indeed, Ivy does have a reputation. One that does afford her some benefits and drawbacks. She doesn't get accosted too often, but she ends up having to explain to more than a few do-gooders that she is actually not plotting. At least, most of the time. Still, Madelyne gets an appreciative look. Because it takes courage to flirt with one that can literally make herself poisonous. And that might have earned Maddy some points on Ivy's scale.

Patsy Walker has posed:
Meanwhile, Hellcat crosses her arms at Madelyne's retort, giving a quiet 'hmph' in response. However, she's clearly listening in on the exchange between the other pair. Without committing to going to one of those derby events, she says, "No, lingering out in the open isn't always the best idea for some of us." A fair way of putting it.

As such, she begins to fade back toward the alley, adding, "I'll be keeping my eyes on both of you," without putting it in the accusing kind of tone at least Pamela might be used to hearing.

Madelyne Pryor has posed:
Madelyne Pryor practically purrs, "Skimpy outfits, oh my," to Ivy, before she says, "I think perhaps I will call upon you later then, when you're properly somewhere private. So as not to ruin your good name with the...people of the city."

She then looks over at Hellcat as she starts to slink back into the alley, and says, "You're not getting away that easy though, I think you have something to say to me in private yourself, don't you?" and she follows her into the darkness.
