Cast of Characters: Phoebe Beacon, Gabby Kinney, Robbie Reyes

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
GOTHAM CITY. Home sweet home. It's beginning to slightly drizzle and sleet outside, which inevitably means that the winter holidays will soon be upon us.

Which means the Curio needs to be dressed for the occasion.

And since Phoebe's weirdly the closest thing to a landlady the building has, that means putting up some garland along a false mantle in the lobby, spreading a buffalo plaid blanket over the gray couch with THANKFULLY no longer smells like burning hair, and a pair of candy-cane striped skull-and-crossbones hangers to the First Aid Kit and Lending Library doors. Tradition, you know.

She's wearing gray jeans with orange flowers stitched to the back pockets, an orange T-shirt and a hoodie that maybe definitely actually belongs to someone both taller and broader shouldered than her.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Soooo, I had been wondering..." Gabby's curious tone pipes up from the door as she starts to enter catching sight of Phoebe in the middle of celebration decoration-ing. Her hand lifts to gesture vaguely toward the lending library. "Why the hell is that stuck shut? Do you like, have haunted books in there? I could see it. Just wanting to know in case."

"I mean we all know I'm okay with some demons so it's not like it's a big issue."

With that she heads for the couch to flop down on it, her nose crinkling a little only to glance back at the cushioning. "... You know, I'm not going to ask."

Robbie Reyes has posed:
"Glad to hear you're willing to give some demons a pass." Robbie emerges, laden with a cardboard box full of STUFF, the likes of which he cannot really understand. But his is not to understand, his is to carry.

And reach for tall things.

"And trust me, sometimes, if a door is sealed, it's for good reason and you do not want to go knocking it down. Or anything like that."

He flahes a smile to both as he looks for a place to set the box down.

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Hey Gabs --" Phoebe starts, and she gives a slight smile over to the badger as she sits on the couch (it now smells like roses and oranges. TAKE THAT BURNING HAIR). "Hey Robbie? Go ahead and put that box down... ah..." she pauses a sshe looks around. "On the other side of the couch from Gabs." she offers direction.

" That was back before the Justice League Dark was a thing. We were called the Midnight Brigade, which was kinda formed by The Other Guy --" her other other adopted dad, the fake Constantine -- "when my cousin tried to unalive me. A bunch of people donated some basic how-to's and there's an old sacrificial table that got picked up at an estate sale -- now it's just kinda..." she pauses, and her shoulders slack.

"Robbie's right, some things should remain closed. That's also where the ghost cat hangs out sometimes. He has a bed in there."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney flashes a grin over at Robbie when he enters, too. Her arms loop behind her head as she kicks her legs out in front of her reclining on the couch. It's not entirely taken up at least. "Well I mean, I have smooched a few," she retorts with a little laugh of amusement. "Plus I know the Queen of Limbo, and a succubus but I don't really talk to her much. She baked a mean cake though."

Again her curiosity has her glance toward the library door considering with a nod slowly. Cautiously. At least until...

"There's a *ghost cat* here?" Wide eyed she sits up straighter looking delighted. "Hinako's going to love that!"

Robbie Reyes has posed:
"That's a lotta name dropping," replies Robbie as he does some real dropping, depositing the box next to Gabby. "Just make sure you don't use the real ones, and we'll be safe."

He glances over his shoulder towards where the ghost cat is, and shrugs. "Imean, you seen one ghost cat, you seen them all, right?"

He makes his way back over to Phoebe and leans in to plant a kiss against her cheek. "Is that all the stuff you need, or do I have a few more trips before I can grab a seat?"

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Yeah. I haven't seen him, but you hear his bell sometimes. Just this little 'tinkling' sound passing behind you. I leave him catnip mouses every once in a while." Phoebe comments as she stretches her arm out and leans in to the kiss on the cheek. She still feels her ears and cheeks darken as she turns and so very briefly presses her nose to Robbie's and grins "Go ahead and have a seat Jefe. I don't own much in the way of seasonal decor." she jokes, before she turns back to Gabby.

"Illyana's... okay. I think we just give off opposite vibes." she considers, grabbing blindly into the box.

"Is Hinako also moving in with you, Gabs?" she asks conversationally.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Kind of grew up with her so I guess I have an 'in' there," Gabby has to agree in regard to Illyana. "Lot of history. Been to Limbo a few times. Freed a soul. Made a fake one. Pissed off a big time devil. Good times." Here she grins wryly adding, "It's no wonder I ended up in the JLD."

The question about Hinako earns a little nod. "Yeah, she is. She doesn't take up much space and it's not as if it's easy to find a home for a hundred year old haunted Japanese doll."

Robbie Reyes has posed:
"Well, then, there you go." Robbie grins over at Gabby as he moves over to take a seat, leaning back to watch the two chat about unseen pets.

"I mean, I know the answer to this, but why can't you all just have normal pets like everyone else? I mean, Gabe asked for an iguana, and I had to tell him, no dude, let's stick with the goldfish."

Phoebe Beacon has posed:
"Pretty sure the cat's been in the building since before the 1950's when the building was still in Mersyside." Phoebe replies to Robbie, and she sticks out her tongue.

"Hinako is also definitely not 'pet material'. More like a roommate. That doesn't steal your cookies." Phoeb gives a grin, and she stretches her other arm out before she plops down on an arm of the couch near Robbie.

"What's wrong with an iguana? Other than that they're foul-tempered environmentally delicate jerks who will whip you just to see you bleed."

    She gets a distant expression.

"Impulse lives upstairs with two cats and a tank of snails. I mean it's not like this is a pet-free building. And if Dams moves in eventually there's going to be additional animals anyway -- Titus and Alfred. And Idu and Potato sleep here sometimes -- but Idu doesn't like Robbie--" she explains to Gabby, "And Potato may have a bad reaction to..." she trails off, and winces. "... the whole thing."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"Hinako's the ghost of a little girl who died of hypothermia in the middle of Winter from what we've figured out. She's gotten pretty good at speaking English. Just likes playing around and watching anime these days." A pause comes from Gabby as she raises her hand, "I make sure the rating is suitable! She really likes Card Captor Sakura. And Steven Universe."

Glancing over toward Robbie she jets, "She likes the big three eyed lady."

"I don't think I'll have a problem with the dogs, even Idu. We'll see." Swinging her legs up she unflumps herself from the couch to hop to her feet. "For now though... If we're decorating, I'm gonna go grab some stuff." Muahaha. Fear.
