Burgers and Shakes

Synopsis:	Lunch was had and Christmas plans made!

Isabel Kane has posed:
After the last date, a few days pass before Izzy sends Sam a text, inviting him to lunch at Big Belly Burgers. Burgers and fries and shakes! Who wouldn't want that?

She'll be waiting for him when he shows up, offering a smile and moving to press a kiss to his cheek before they head inside. "Hey Sam.. hope yer day's goin' well. Mine's been pretty bland so far. Paperwork, reports.. th' usual." APproaching the counter, she puts in for a bacon cheeseburger with all the trimmings, fries, and a chocolate shake!

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie gives her a cheek kiss and a hug in return. He opens the door for her, and says "Pretty much the same." He offers, and orders the same except a strawberry shake and a coke.

Isabel Kane has posed:
"Aha... yer a strawberry man. I'll keep that in mind. I love fresh starwberries, but they get hard t' find this time of year... gotta wait for like... February." Izzy pays for the food (because Sam paid last time) and takes her drink cup to the fountain to get herself a drink.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie follows a long and says "Well if they had butter pecan, Ah would have ordered that, but finding that as a shake around these parts can be hard." He tells her, with a smile.

Isabel Kane has posed:
Chuckling, she gives a nod, "Noted. I'm a mint chocolate chip girl, m'self. But I find gettin' it as a shake is hit or miss.. sometimes it's just way too much mint syrup in th' ice cream..." Picking up their order when it's called, she leads the way to a table and takes a seat, turning the tray so they can both use it as an impromptu plate. "There was a thing a lil bit ago.. some of yer people an' some of mine came t'gether t' fight against Deathbird an' her followers. Massive space battle, wish ya'd been there."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods a bit and says "Sorry Ah missed it." He pulls her chair out for her, and then sits down in front of her. Giving her the better seat.

Isabel Kane has posed:
Taking the seat with a smile, Izzy nods at him, "We found Vulcan. An'... I think it went as well as it was ever gonna. He got to meet Alex, an' a couple other Summers'... found out he's still got living family... an' I think he's gonna split from Deathbird." She takes a sip of he drink and unwraps her burger, "He's still a potential threat, but I think if we give th' Summers' some time with him... maybe he'll come 'round."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie hmms and says "Well, if like most summers, then it will either go rather well, or big explosions." He offers with a smile putting some ketchup out for his fries before munching a couple of them.

Isabel Kane has posed:
"He's... different. The other Summers' have all at least been raised on Earth... Vulcan.. he was raised Shi'ar. An' not in a good way. He was raised up by Lillandra's brother, th' one currently jailed an' deposed for his evil, despotic ways. So.. Vulcan's got a chip th' size of Jupiter on his shoulder." Izzy takes a bit, considering things before offering, "But findin' out he had family, well. That helped him calm down a lil."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods, his head a bit to this and says "Well that is a good thing at least. Family can do that, and hopefully with getting to know them it will help. Which summers you have with ya?"

Isabel Kane has posed:
"Ah.. Alex.. big man with white hair, scars, looks like a cyborg.. redhead woman with big guns." Izzy hasn't been introduced to them all yet, but assumes the descriptions wil be good enough for Sam to figure out who they are. Then she chuckles, "There was this blonde woman, sassy, shots plasma bombs... she started hittin' on me while I gave her a lift t' th' ship. Never did get a chance t' find out her name."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods a bit and as she says each one he goes "Cable, Hope, maybe Rachel, but more likely Hope." He hmms a bit and at the last one he says "Tabby." He smirks a bit at her, and says "Yea, that sounds like Tabby."

Isabel Kane has posed:
"Tabby. She was nice. Funny. Gotta remember t' introduce myself next time, but also let her know that I'm already taken." Izzy winks at Sam and chuckles, then takes another bite of her burger, along with a few fries. "We lost a lotta good soldiers... damn near lost Gladiator. Had t' fly him outta there so Vulcan couldn't pull on his energy."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods his head a bit and says "Well Tabby will understand, remember Ah mentioned an ex girl friend, who worked at Harry's with me?" He says and at the last bit, he says "Sorry ya lost folks." He does reach to give her hand a soft squeeze.

Isabel Kane has posed:
"Wait, that's yer ex?" Izzy pauses for a moment, then bursts out laughing, shaking her head. "That's funny... but alright." She clears her throat then, smiling towards Sam and turning her hand over to squeeze back, "Thanks Sam. I... also got a promotion. From Subguardian t' Superguardian. Not th' way I wanted t'.. but.. it's a huge honor."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods his head abit to this and says "Battle field promotions may suck in some ways, but they are still promotions." He offers her a smile "And from what it sounds, sounds like you deserve it."

Isabel Kane has posed:
Smiling, she gives a small nod and murmurs, "We lost a good man for me t' get it.. but I'm damn proud that I was picked t' replace him." Then she's letting out a breath and chuckling, "Okay. So. Now I gotta ask.. what's your Christmas plans?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie says, "Well, Ah plan on heading back home for Christmas day for a few hours, but other than that Ah aint really sure to be honest. There is a party at the mansion Ah am thinking about going to."

Isabel Kane has posed:
"Yeah, I heard about it myself.. thought about droppin' in, saying hi t' people. Maybe we could go t'gether?" Isabel pauses, then offers a faint smile, "I envy ya gettin' t' go home for CHristmas..."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods a bit and says "Ah think that would be cool, and Ah might be able to help ya head home for the holiday, depends on if Ah can get ahold of the right person.

Isabel Kane has posed:
Shaking her head, Izzy murmurs, "Noone t' go home for, no reason t' go there." She clears her throat and noshes a few fries, then sucks down a bit of her shake. "No family anymore, so no reason t' go t' th' farm."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods his head a bit and says "Well we can do something together then, maybe hang out and have dinner once Ah get back up here?"

Isabel Kane has posed:
"You mean like.. put in an appearance at th' party, then go off an' have dinner together? I could get behind that. But.. well.. think we could add in maybe a movie an' popcorn after? My place?" Isabel offers a sheepish smile, "It'd be nice t' have someone t' share th' evenin' with."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods, and says "Something like that, yea." He explains, as he munches a bit of his burger "What type of movies you prefer?" He asks after wiping his mouth

Isabel Kane has posed:
"Well, for Christmas Eve, it's Die Hard. For Christmas night.. could do like.. Home Alone or somethin'? I like all kinds of movies, but Christmas movies are deifnitely for Christmas." Izzy flashes a quick grin at him.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods a bit and says Die hard, ok, was thinking maybe Gremlins." He offers with a smile as he watches her reaction

Isabel Kane has posed:
Grinning, Izzy gives a nod, "Perfect. Gremlins it is. Ya got great taste in Christmas movies." She eats up a few more fries and another bite of her burger before offering, "I can make some nog, too. Want it with or without th' 'extra touch'?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over and says "Ah will drink it either way, so Ah leave that up to you. If Ah need to head home, Ah can always blast home or take an uber."

Isabel Kane has posed:
She glances at him, then offers softly, "Could stay over, too..." Pausing, she flushes, then adds, "I mean.. I have a guest room. Not expectin'... that is.. I'm not just tryin' t'... y'know.."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie smirks a bit at this and says "Well Ah would not expect anything more, but Ah could bring a change of clothes, and have them in the truck in case ah need them.

Isabel Kane has posed:
Izzy returns the smile and gives a nod, "Not that I wouldn't *ever*, of course. I would. But.. not tryin' t' pull anythin'." She nods and chuckles, "Why not just pack an overnight bag an' bring it in? If ya decide not t' stay, can always take it with ya. But this way yer not steppin' out into freezin' cold air t' get cold clothes from yer truck?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods his head a bit to this and says "Make sense, Ah will throw together a go bag, to bring with me." He offers and says "Maybe pick up a couple movies if we might stay the night." He offers

Isabel Kane has posed:
"Sounds like a plan," Isabel smiles at him and reaches over to squeeze his hand gently. "Thanks, by th' way. I know ya could just stay with yer family th' whole day. I appreciate ya spendin' any part of it with me."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over and says "Hey, Ah think Ah will be having fun, and spending time with you is not something Ah am doing just for you." He says with a smile and squeezes her hand back

Isabel Kane has posed:
Izzy chuckles softly and gives a nod, "Fair 'nough. Still appreciate it. An'.. lookin' forward t' it too." She finishes up her food so that she's left with her shake, tilting her head towards the door, "Wanna get out of here? Maybe talk a lil walk before we gotta get back t' th' grindstone?"
