Olivia Gaudin has posed:
In a day where people can communicate in DMs, IMs, text messages, email, phone calls, and so many, many other means, Olivia has arranged a way to speak with her boyfriend-she can call him that, right?-and that way is a candle.

On her balcony, as soon as she gets home, she lights the candle. It means she is alone and free. She's not neck-deep in practice or training. Though she has played with the idea of lighting it when she's doing yoga, but that's not quite where her mind is tonight.

On this night, Olivia is settled on her couch. The lights are mostly out. Just a few are on, and not near her living room. She's watching a movie. Specifically, the movie Grease. It was a favorite of her parents. It's also the source of her first name.

She has some popcorn by her, but she's only paying the littlest bit of attention to it. She's feeling a bit... anxious? Probably that. She would just admit to feeling off somehow. But she is so distracted that she doesn't even sing along until "Hopelessly Devoted to You" begins.

Kaine Parker has posed:
Winter. Longer nights. It makes up for all the cold. That candle comes out earlier and earlier. Suddenly there's a "THUD!" and the costumed Blood Spider is there. He's mving inside the place looking around.

"You're the one I want, oooh whoo hooo," he sings off key. "I haven't seen it, but who doesn't know about the song?" he poses a little bit. Then he pulls off the black mask to reveal his face.

Olivia Gaudin has posed:
She should expect him! She should -hear- him. Yet his appearance makes her jump and let out the cutest little gasp as she leaps to her feet. And then he's singing, which draws a laugh from her immediately.

    "Kaine!"

There's so much emotion in that single word it's hard to express them. Excitement, relief, joy, and then she's darting over to him. Olivia does not throw herself at him. That would be rude! But she does wrap him up in an affectionate hug immediately.

"You are the one that I want, too," she says. "Was it a busy day?" She imagines that's a silly question, but she wants to hear all about it.

Kaine Parker has posed:
Kaine smiles at the words. "Careful or I will hold you to them." Then he will go in for a hug or a kiss. The smile stays for a moment. Then the question comes out. "I tried to play nice with others," Kaine admits. Olivia knows he's the mean spider. He's working on it, but Kaine is "aggressive" in the costume.

Outside of it, he's sort of tame? He's trying to keep it under control. "Figuring out if I want to speak to my cousins," he admit. Olivia knows he battles over this. The only family he talks about, two cousins. One older. One younger. They are kind of like brothers.

"How was your day?" he asks.

Olivia Gaudin has posed:
That would be a kiss and a hug! If Olivia has anything to say about it. She soaks up the moment. It means a lot to her. Even though Kaine has tried to get her to be more confident, well, it feels fragile and precious to her.

"I happy you are trying to place nice." His thoughts of his cousins draw her attention. "I think you may know what you want to do. Maybe it's just a question of timing at this point? Do you want to talk about it?"

She is happy to listen. Or to just curl up on the couch and relax. As for her day? "Oh, it was really nice! I got to talk to the director and he's given me the blessing to work more with my understudy and with another member of the company. He also gave me work. I am officially to be sent to visit a school for a party. Hopefully there are kids there." She kind of does better with kids around, after all.

Kaine Parker has posed:
Kaine holds her close after the hug and kiss. He's not one to end that soon.

Bringing up his cousins is complicated. Still, he will not hide it. "I was the black sheep. I might still be. They were always bettr than me. And maybe I'm trying to be more like them. Stumbling a littl bit along the way,' he sighs and shakes his head. "It's complicated," he says, again. "There's more I want to say, but it's a lot. Even by crazy hero standards. You have t believe that part."

Kaine moves to the couch and sits. Happy to listen to her down. "What is working with others like? In the theater setting. And what kind of party?" he asks.

Olivia Gaudin has posed:
She listens intently when he speaks about his cousins. She will dive into this topic, but maybe after things get a bit more quiet and calm. He just got inside, after all. The movie is playing, but it's not capturing her attention. The volume is down low enough to not be too distracting. Like normal, when he's around, she locks into his heartbeat. She likes that sound very much.

"I believe you completely. And, we'll get comfortable and then you can tell me everything you like. Oh, and working with others? It's fun. I want to help her improve her acting. She already has a great voice, and dancing is not really a big part of my role. So it has to do with doing scenes together and I give her a lot of feedback, new angles to try, that kind of thing."

Olivia looks at the popcorn, as if she only just remembered she made that. "Oh, the party... it's at that fancy Xavier's School. I wasn't directly invited, but Rachel-that is to say, Glinda's actress-was. But she is busy and so I'm the last moment stand-in. I don't know much about it, honestly, but if it is a school, there should be children, so I figure I'll show up as Elphaba and all will go well."

Kaine Parker has posed:
"It's not for a lack of trust. It would hurt theirs. I don't have their trust or permission," Kaine just hopes she respects that. And that his words will be enough.

"Well, fingers crossed it's not like a college, but the theater students would love you if it was," he admits.

"What would be your ideal side-gig. th thng you'd want to do outside of work?" he asks curiously.

Olivia Gaudin has posed:
"Oh, oh... I see. Well, if there is any way I can help, let me know. I don't want to intrude and would never ask you to break a promise or betray your... is it a code of honor? That kind of thing. Your values."

Olivia smiles. "I generally do best with the little ones. I do like children, they are the easiest for me to get along with." Which is a remarkable bridge to his question.

"The thing I want to do away from work?" she repeats. There's a moment for her to think. Which she does not need. It is more of a situation where she is supressing her answer so as to not be too suggestive. "I want to be a mother. I'd like to have several children. Family is such a big thing to me. I want to have one of my own. Which is kind of difficult in my current job, but other girls do it. So can I." She turns the question around, then! "And what would you like to do?"

Kaine Parker has posed:
"Well, I would love your help. we're friguring out some of that," he givs a small smile. "I hope you meet children at this pprtunity," thn he looks at her. "It'll take a lot of mney or effort to make that happen. You would be a wonderful mother."

"Why do you want to be a mother?"

Kaine looks at her for a moment. "I'm not against it, but never pictured it,' so that's something he struggles with. Something he's unsure how he would ft. "Favorte movies?" he wll ask as h tries t picture hmself as a father.

Olivia Gaudin has posed:
"If there aren't kids there, I will do my best to spread joy and have fun, regardless. It should be fun, either way, and I'm bound to meet interesting people. I've met so many lately." She grins playfully, "And the most interesting of all is my boyfriend now."

He asks a great question, too. "I've been able to spend time with my niece quite a bit. I just fell in love with it. I liked holding her when she was sick. I enjoyed the lullabies, the snuggling, the laughter. Every little discovery she makes is a wonder to behold. Seeing her come to understand the world is the most beautiful thing in the world. More than anything, she gave me my first chance to love someone more than myself. Much more, really. She is my New Years gift, and she'll be here in a few days! Her parents promised us that they'd go on a New Years Eve date and I would get her. Of course, if you want to share a kiss on New Years Eve with me..." He could always join her!

"It isn't something I knew I wanted either. Not before her, anyway." Then the topic goes to the next matter. "Favorite movies? Breakfast at Tiffany's, Grease (of course!), Ghostbusters, the Wizard of Oz, and Top Gun." To name a few. She's clearly seen a lot. "What are yours?"
