Jon Kent has posed:
On Megan's side of things the FaceTime call begins to warble and chime. On Jon Kent's side of the call, he's tilting his head this way and that in the reflection of his phone's screen. Of course he has to make sure he looks presentable. While the background looks to be a cloudy night sky, the sound of Christmas music can be heard playing softly somewhere in the distance. There he stands and waits, staring into the screen of his phone with a close-lipped smile. Then he sees his reflection and tries to adjust his face to look less weird to someone first seeing his face through a call. He tries to relax now, looking cool and casual, while still being Jon Kent.

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
M'gann hears the warble of a FaceTime call as she lounges in her room at the Roost. Glancing around at the room and all it's high tech toys and some of the weaponry on display. Grabbing the phone she morphs into her Megan persona and phases up through the building until she reaches the roof. She angles herself so it's just the starry night sky behind her, the wind lightly whipping her auburn locks around her face as she answers the call with a smile.

"Jon? Is that you? Am I coming through alright?"

He can see her perfectly clearly, they have AMAZING reception at the Roost, and the wi-fi can't be beat (and its encrypted all to Hell and back, double protection!). So she comes through just fine, those brown eyes lighting up at the sight of him, her smile widening a touch. "Hey! I see you, hi! Merry Christmas Eve!"

Jon Kent has posed:
"Hey, Megan!" Jon calls back, though he pauses for a moment. The split second that her question seems to register and his mind to form his answer, "Oh yeah, I see you just fine. You look great!" Another pause at her well-wishing and Jon's cool expression breaks. He starts smiling broadly and his eyes seem to light up at her words and, probably, just seeing her in general, "Merry Christmas to you too, Megan!" He shifts at the night sky behind him seems to swirl a touch. At least until he halts again. "I just want to give you call, tell you Merry Christmas, and, well, that's kind of all!"

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
"Well, I appreciate it, really. My uncle and I don't really get much of a chance to celebrate together these days, so it's good to hear from someone!" Megan does, indeed, seem super thrilled that he actually DID call. She doesn't mention parents, only an uncle. Orphaned, likely. Tucking a lock of hair behind one ear, she flushes slightly and nods, "Well, I'm really glad you did. I was actually going to call you after Christmas... but I guess... well, now is good too!" She glances aside, then back to the phone, her cheeks going even pinker. "Do you... have plans for New Years Eve?"

Jon Kent has posed:
"Oh, okay," Jon answers with a little nod of understanding at Megan's comment regarding she and her uncle. He gives a little shrug and his smile persists, albeit a touch smaller, "I'm glad I did too and," but Jon trails off. Largely because of Megan's gentle approach to inquiring about New Year's Eve. He smiles suddenly, larger, and Jon's quick to answer as he sits down, "That was the other part of why I called!" He says this with soft laughter. Now that he's seated himself the glow of Christmas lights can be seen on the right side of the video's frame, his back to an outdoor wall as though he's seated himself on a patio or some other outdoor area. "I was going to see if you maybe wanted to get together for New Year's?"

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
She was clearly actually holding her breath, waiting for his answer. When it comes, the breath is let out in a rush as she responds, "Yes!" A blush and then, "I mean, I would.. like that. Maybe not Times Square, it gets so crowded, hard to really talk. Maybe somewhere quieter?" Pausing, Megan offers a sheepish smile, "I'm sorry, I'm keeping you from family. We can totally work out the details after Christmas. I'll call you on Tuesday, we can set something up. I hope you have a great night, and Merry Christmas again! I'm... really, really glad you called." She'll wait for his goodbye before hanging up the phone so she can go jump on the ocmputer and start researching good places to celebrate New Years Eve locally that *aren't* Times Square.

Jon Kent has posed:
By the end of Megan's rushed farewells, Jon's face is alight with a grin. It fades just enough for him to speak without looking like some clown in Gotham, "Quiet's good though! We'll figure it out after Christmas, yeah. I hope you have a Merry, Wonderful Christmas and it was great seeing, Megan. Talk to you soon, byeee!" The call cuts off a moment later and Jon lets out a long, long sigh. He hangs his head for a moment as though he'd just gone ten rounds with his dad; now exhausted and weary. The reality of the situation is that Jon spoke with a sweet girl and sometimes that can be tiring enough. The momentary respite is broken when Jon pushes himself up from his seat and begins to make his way back inside. To family, music, warmth, happines, cheer. All the pure, unfiltered, locally sourced wholesome a growing young man needs.
