Synopsis: Cassandra meets the Wizard!
Cast of Characters: Billy Batson, Cassandra Cain

Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson has endured the jeering of five mentors in his head. It was the time of Saturnalia and he was essentially home alone. The family returned to Philly for sight seeing. Mary was with Marie-Ange. Irie was busy. Mormoragan was present and well, he got lonely.

"Got any... threes?" the Wizard asked. Billy threw three cards down with a scowl.

"You're not doing any... you know... magic are you?" Mormoragan's reply was not fit for tender ears but he followed it with a laugh and pointed. "Staff is over there. This is just skill."

Cassandra Cain has posed:
There's always something. After all, Mormoragon has been alone for far longer even than Billy. He's just doing all this with experience; he's tired and very likely glad for the company. It's too bad that Billy is so young, sometimes.

How exactly Cassandra gets there isn't clear. The way that she arrives was never really explained, nor did she ask, but it happens and that's the important point. She walks around a corner, and is just there. It's what she does. The fact that she does it while wearing a hat that looks like a dinosaur is eating her skull is just her.

It is a cute hat.

Looking at the two of them, Cass' eyes shift left, then right. She has nothing to prove here, but you know, she's got a reputation somehow. So, walking up behind Billy, she winks at the Wizard and then pulls out her phone.

And she turns on 'Snoopy vs the Red Baron', trying not to smile.

Billy Batson has posed:
"SHAZAM" Billy is transformed in a burst of light and sound. Shazam faces Cassandra and immediately feels foolish.

'Bwahahahahaha!" Mormoragan cracks up.

"You! Warn a person can you!?" Mormoragan steps up beside Shazam. Shazam does note the Wizard's staff is in his hand.

"This is a friend I assume. Or she'd not be here. I am Mormoragan. Wizard. Who would you be formidable little person?" Mormoragan leans on the staff to peer at Cassandra, frankly curious. "This is not the Flash Kidd you mentioned?" Shazam shakes his head. "I never got her name," Shazam admits.

Cassandra Cain has posed:
With the song about the great Red Baron playing, Cass turns the volume down. Not off, she rather likes the song, but down. Manners. Bowing to the Wizard, Cass shows more respect than she has to...literally anyone. Including Batman himself. She raises her eyes first, looking the ancient in the eyes, then nods and arises.

She looks at Shazam, raising an eyebrow, then gets a tiny smirk on the right side of her cheek. Cheek, indeed, and without saying a single word.

However, with a breath and a calmness in her eyes, Cassandra answers the question. Evenly, as if speaking to a teacher or someone similar. "I Cassandra Cain." Her words, or the lack of a proper conjunctive, say volumes. Someone who speaks only poorly, but has been taught how to do so if required.

It may also be the first time that Billy has heard her name! So it's not actually Dino-Girl!

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam relaxes a bit. "She has a name!"

"You never ask her? That was rude. You should honor her as you would me. You were born suited to your role. She and I represent many years of study and toil to achieve our places." Mormoragan returns the bow. "We are equals. We needn't bow. You play cards? Or do you enjoy Star Wars? We were going to binge the last season of The Mandalorian."

Cassandra Cain has posed:
She has a name, finally. It is true! Though this is the last that she speaks, turning to glance at Shazam and raises that eyebrow again. Her eyes glance up and down his form, looking at how very tall he is...now...and then she rolls her eyes just the tiniest amount.

She responds to the questions she is asked by looking at the Wizard. She looks from him to the cards, then frowns. Her head tilts slightly, a very familiar gesture when done just so that says, Umm. I don't know what you're asking me. But I'm listening.

Patience, it's something that she's learned. She spreads her hands in the universal 'please, continue'. No rush, there is plenty of time.

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam says, "I saw that! I... you never come when called anyway! You're just there! Sheesh. I thought you were being mysterious! When you weren't being silly."

Mormoragan says, "I will make some tea. Break out your whistle, Billy play something for us, please. The cards and streaming will wait. He really is a fine musician. You like teas, Cassandra?"

Cassandra Cain has posed:
That is when Billy gets the biggest compliment he's ever gotten from Cassandra. Maybe not the biggest ever, but from her, yes. When Mormoragon speaks of Billy's music, her face breaks out in the biggest smile ever. Wide, eyes shining, she nods vigorously and puts her hands together, pleadingly.

Apparently she's a fan? Of Billy? Huh.

However, she does turn that huge grin toward the Wizard and nods. Then, pausing, she hesitates and puts her fingers nearly together. Well, a little, she says without words. Some tea.

She's quite expressive for someone without a lexicon to speak of.

Billy Batson has posed:
Well with a smile like that, for Billy, Shazam turns back to his human form. Flute in hand he settles down to play mumbling 'thanks'. He begins faking The Mandalorian theme. That's a bit of a stretch for his skill set but the tune is fairly simple though striking. Mormoragan sets the tea out.

Billy for his part is a very verbal person. Expressing himself this way was also new.

Cassandra Cain has posed:
It's not something that she's heard, nor danced to. Cocking her head, Cassandra is leaning against the Rock of Eternity when Mormoragon returns with tea. She has no real concept of it, no malice nor want. It's just the music, and she takes it in like a drowning man takes in sight of a ship.

She smiles, honestly, as she lets Billy play. There's a blessedness in silence, but once in while, she does wish. That she could sing.

Her heart, however. Her heart dances.

Billy Batson has posed:
Mormoragan listens and for a while after the song there is a companionable silence. Tea is shipped. Billy breaks the silence very gently. "Thank you for visiting, Cassandra. It's always nice having you around."
