Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie has offered to show her around Mutant town, since this is where he works a lot. So one one evening he has off, he offers to take Isabel to dinner, and walk around the area. "So would ya you like to eat or walk about and see the sights first?"

Isabel Kane has posed:
"Walk first, then eat! Lets work up an appetite, then we can hit up that diner I keep hearin' bout," Izzy flashes a grin towards Sam, leaning in and nudging him lightly with her shoulder. She slips her arms around his waist and glances around, "Show me Mutant Town." She's confident in her ability to not stare or freak out. The Shi'ar Imperial Guard are sort of like the Lantern Corp, a lot of alien races make up the Guardsmen, not just Shi'ar themselves.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods his head a bit to this and says "Well lets start with this is the precinct, Ah work out of." He offers as they walk over to the building. Sam will wave a hand to a few of the officers he knows. "We have the special units based out of here too.":

Isabel Kane has posed:
"Makes sense, I imagine most mutants that go through the academy end up here? Even just from a diplomatic standpoint, probably a lot less complaints if th' cops that show up are also mutants." Izzy smiles at him, then turns that smile towards the other officers. She gives a nod, "Again, makes sense. Most humans can't handle a lot of th' non-human stuff that goes on. THey just aren't wired for it, an' they didn't have th' proper exposure or trainin'."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods a bit and says "Only a few obvious mutants on the force, there are not many who are willing to try to go through the academy, Ah think we need to find a way to get more to go through, trying to get the locals to trust the police more also.

Isabel Kane has posed:
"Well, they don't have to be obvious, though it's fine if they are. Just... you're right. They need more that can go through th' academy. There needs to be more acceptance. We've got aliens for fucks sake, how are mutants any worse?" Isabel shakes her head and glances around the area. "I'm just sorry that it's as bad as all this."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods his head a bit to this and says "Well Ah think it is more Aliens, folks don't think it can happen to them, Mutants, they think are more likely to happen or hide amongst them." He sighs "It aint a good thing but it is a thing. He walks along with her his hand on the small of her back "Mootant Milkshake sis a pretty nice place for some walk around food."

Isabel Kane has posed:
Izzy gives a small tsk and shakes her head, "Aliens are hiding amongst them every day. Kryptonians. Martians. Shi'ar. Kree. An' those are just th' ones I know about offhand. There's a lot of 'em hidin' in plain sight, we never know it's them. But you're right... can't just become an alien. Mutants, though... anyone could be a mutant. Your kids could be mutants, th' president's kids could be mutants. Anyone could be born one." She glances up at him and smiles, "Suggestin' we get a milkshake?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie hmmms and says "If you want one we can, not sure if it is too cold for one, but think they have hot chocolate too." He offers to her with a smile and says "I usually stop and get a cup of on patrol when Ah am walking a beat through here.

Isabel Kane has posed:
"Hot cocoa would be nice," Izzy agrees with a nod towards Sam. She gives a quick smile and leans in to slip an arm around his waist, squeezing a brief hug before straightening. "So what sort of patrol pattern do you usually follow?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie will lead her over getting two cup, with extra marshmellows, and paying for it, even though it is offered to him for free. "Well, it depends on the day, Ah try to change it up a bit, don't want someone getting my timing and then being able to time when and where Ah will be."

Isabel Kane has posed:
Izzy smiles at the vendor and thanks them for the cocoa, then thanks Sam as she takes her cup. "That's fair. Take me along one of your beats, I'd like to see Mutant Town th' way you do." SHe sips lightly on the cocoa, blowing the heated air out on a breath. "I hear you can get some great produce from a shop around here, I just never really wanted to impose..."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods, and will start leading her along the beat. He stops at each store and comes inside, and says Hello to the folks, most seem to like him pretty well

Isabel Kane has posed:
Isabel walks the beat with him, checking out the area as they stroll. Each time they enter a store, she'll smile, wave, introduce herself if asked. Otherwise just enjoying the walk with Sam, sipping her cocoa.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie stops at one point, and leads her up onto a rooftop where they have a pretty good look out amongst the city and says "Ah try to come up here at least once per shift, to get the bigger picture

Isabel Kane has posed:
Climbing onto the roof has her chuckling. This is not something she would have expected from a cop walking a beat. Once up there, Izzy flashes a grin at him and sidles in to slip her arms around his waist, "It's a great view, Sam. Looks like you got a good view of th' area."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods his head a bit to this and says "I usually eat lunch or something up here, so Ah can keep an eye on things while eatting. They may not know Ah am a mutant, but if Ah need to can get to most anyplace Ah need to quickly

Isabel Kane has posed:
Izzy gives a nod and glances at him with a quick smile, "Good plan. An' I bet ya get a great view while ya eat up here. Summertime, this is prob'ly one of th' best views in th' city." SHe bumps his hip with her own, "Once it gets warmer, we should have a picnic up here some night."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods his head a bit to this and says "Yea, we got a bit more choices than most people on where we want to find the best view." He grins and leans over and kisses her cheek.

Isabel Kane has posed:
Chuckling, Izzy smiles up at him, "Yeah, we kinda do. I keep meanin' to ask.. are you space-safe while you're usin' your powers?" She grins at him, "I had an idea for somethin'... wouldn't be th' WHOLE date, but it would be part of it."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie says, "I would need a space suit, or something that would work as one for me, Ah think"

Isabel Kane has posed:
"Hmmmmmmmm.. I bet we could get you somethin'... might not be Earth make, those suits tend to be bulky. Could getcha somethin' sleeker," Isabel smiles at him. "I'd love to show you th' other side of th' galaxy sometime."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods, and says "I am more used to doing the whole space suit, we have access to some that are less bulky than nasa, but yea I am pretty used to having to have one.

Isabel Kane has posed:
"Yeah, I hear ya. Guess I got spoiled with the exospex. They make space travel pretty easy," Izzy flashes a quick grin at him and leans in against him. "Also, maybe we could go horseback ridin' sometime? Or try four-wheelin'... I dunno, somethin' fast'n'fun? Or like, we should get a whole group of people together an' go do a cookout an' bonfire thing. Like a tailgate but without th' parkin' lot or football game."

Sam Guthrie nods, and says "As it gets warmer, we generally have a decent amount of outdoor stuff, ball games and such. He smiles and says "Have to do a party see if I can get some of my friends to come and maybe some of yours."

Isabel Kane has posed:
Laughing, Izzy gives a nod, "I can try... but most of the people I know are either SHIELD or Shi'ar... not sure you want either of those groups showin' up to a party. Well, no, I take that back.. some of th' SHIELD folk can be pretty fun. Might do 'em good to get out'n'about, too."

Sam Guthrie nods his head a bit and says "Most of my friends are in the hero side of things, but Ah am making some friends else where now than am out and about more.

Isabel Kane has posed:
Isabel Kane says, "That's awesome! I'm still strugglin' with makin' friends that aren't 'in th' biz'... I don't like lyin' to people. If they don't know th' score, makes it hard to be able to really talk to 'em about what's goin' on in my life," Isabel lifts a shrug and looks to Sam with a chuckle. "Probably doesn't help that I'm a country girl in th' big city. I guess I should go hit up some of those Broadway shows an' stuff, try to figure out how to be more 'urbane' or whatever.""

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie smirks a bit and says "Well, if you want to go to something Ah can go with you, Ah know a little high flautenting stuff, but more not a lot. Ah know a bit about Ballet, we took some when Ah was in school at the mansion.

Isabel Kane has posed:
"I mean, I should probably see at least ONE Broadway show now that I live in th' city," Izzy shrugs and grins at him. "Not sure if I'm ready for orchestras an' operas just yet, but maybe soon." Glancing at him, she smiles, "We should do one thing, though. There's a place called Swingers NoMad. It's indoor, crazy golf. Which is like minigolf but with drinks. 21 an' over only, an' caddies will serve ya right on th' course. Also somethin' we could grab a couple people an' go do. They even got like.. food vendors on site."

Sam Guthrie nods, and says "Sure, Ah am up for it, when ever ya want to, Ah wager we could make a group of it sometime if ya want to.

Isabel Kane has posed:
Izzy smiles at him, "Seems like somethin' that might be fun to do with a couple friends." She adds, "Could also hit up Cellar Dog sometime. They do like.. basmeent games. Ping pong, foosball, pool, table shuffleboard, some real old arcade games... an' they do live music, too." THen she's letting out a breath and chuckling, "There's a lot that looks like fun but... I dunno, seems like somethin' that should be done with other people, not just on my own, ya know?"

Sam Guthrie smirks a bit and says "Well now you got someone you can do things with, Ah think he might like spending time with you after all." He teases.

Isabel Kane has posed:
Laughing softly, she nods, "Yeah, I think he might at that. I just been tryin' not to take up ALL his time, since he's got friends an' family in th' area that probably wanna see him, too." Isabel nudges him lightly and grins.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie smiles and pulls her into a hug and says "Well, Ah do believe your welcome to be part of his friends and family circle."

Isabel Kane has posed:
Izzy moves into the hug and smiles up at him, "Mmmmmm, sounds wonderful. I already like his sister, an' th' couple friends I've gotten to meet. Still nervous bout meetin' his momma, though. Gotta make sure I'm good 'nough for her oldest." She leans up to steal a quick kiss before winking at him, "Can't have her thinkin' I'm just some hussy, after all."

Sam Guthrie smirks a bit and says "Well, Ma has trusted my opinion and she has gotten along pretty well with the girls Ah have dated. Even Tabby, so you should be ok."

Isabel Kane has posed:
"Yeah maybe, but I don't intend to give ya back," Izzy winks at him and chuckles, her hands moving up across his shoulders until they're linked together at the back of his neck. "I kinda wanna keep ya."
