Plans with Dinner
Date of Scene: 29 December 2023
Location: Joe's Restaurant and Cafe
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Bobby Lane, Roxanne Spaulding

Bobby Lane has posed:
Bobby is nervous tonight. It's the first official date with Roxy. So, he's wearing a pair of jeans, one with n hle, a black shirt with a red button up shirt over it. He doesn't have too much, but this is a "nice" outfit he has.

Roxy means a lot to Bobby. They are bonded by a terrible time shared. They're something more now, too. The two mixing together does create something deep. And so he's trying to impress Roxy a little more. Even if it's just burgers, fries and future plans as teammates. So, there he is waiting to get a eat. He's trying not to pace, but failing miserably. Going back and forth as h tries t take it all in. Just kep himself focused as he waits for Roxy. it's been a minute since a woman made him nervous like this. Roxy could see him pac, if she peered into the right window.

A typical Thurusdady night to most other people though.

Roxanne Spaulding has posed:
It's an outing! Of course, she didn't want to go to a club or a bar. Not with what happened with queelocke and the murderous cannibal.

So naturally, she went in what a Roxie typically wears; the purple bodysuit to keep her warm with a short cut black leather jacket. Considering the shenanigans that have been happening as of late, she wasn't going to wear one of her nice outfits.

Spying Bobby, she waves in his direction.

"Hey!"

A typical Thursday night to most other people though.

Roxanne Spaulding has posed:
Does he pulls out her chair? He's the one who got the table, right? Roxanne simply waits before taking her seat, whether or not he pulled it out or not.

"Nothing so far, so that's good. I do feel though..." and she grits her teeth, glancing around, scanning the area. "I feel like I see him sometimes. It might just be my imagination, but..."

And with that topic, she frowns a bit, getting a little emo now as she stares at the table.

Bobby Lane has posed:
Bobby will definitely pull out a table. He may not do it -right- away, but that's more nerves than jerkiness. He sighs a little bit, "That's because Queelocke matters to you. When you miss someone and don't' know if you'll see again, you see them," Bobby knows the same applies to grimmer circumstances. He just stays away from them. Roxy is getting Emo as it is. That could send her spiraling.

"Should we focus on the date or our next move?" he asks. The hand will retract if she doesn't take it. Either way, the other hand will hold the menu as he starts to scan it.

Roxanne Spaulding has posed:
Emo Roxie is emo. Still, when his hand starts to retract, she reaches out for it, more for comfort than anything else. To make sure someone she's known isn't going to disappear on her or be taken.

"It's not just queelocke. Lynch sent some guy named Cole Cash to check in on me. Apparently..." and she leans forward to whisper. "Ivana's still after us."

Bobby Lane has posed:
Bobby's brows shoot up a little. But he will squeeze her hand. "I spent all this time trying to find you. And after the other night, you think I'm going anyway?" Bobby asks her. He's trying to comfort her. While he doesn't know what exactly Roxy is feeling, that grip isn't unfamiliar. He felt it before when their world was a scarier place with so much uncertainty. "You're stuck with me until you tell me to go," Bobby's just being honest and upfront.

"So, what's our play? There's safety in numbers. And I'll be on their radar once they know I'm in the city. I can stay by your side however long you need it," he hates the idea of someone hunting them. He knows it is bound to happen. And they don't need to feel as helpless as last time. An old fear still bubbles.

Remembering something his father said, Bobby repeats it, "I'll make sure you're safe."
