Timeline

Timeline:
09-29-01: Rowan Lynch didn't see the light of day. From birth the boy is Robert Lane. He, and his mother, relocate away from Gen 12, violence and everything else. It's a quiet life. A peaceful life.
2005 almost 2006: After a few years, Bobby's Mom dies. This puts him in the Foster system.
2006 - 2008: He bounces around from home to home, family to family. He makes friends along the way, but never a -family-.
2009: This yearning for a family make it easy for Cadmdus/I.O. to recruit Bobby. Just make him a few promises about bonds and friendships. Outwardly he may act disinterested, but inwardly it's the complete opposite.
2010: With new found powers, Bobby escapes with future friends, and teammates, Roxanne Spaulding and Percival Eddie Chang. The trio have a -lot- of help from Alex Fairchild and Team 7, including his blood father John Lynch.
2011: Returned to the Foster system, Bobby is now placed in the CA system. It's close to La Jolla.
2011-2018: Bounces between families and the system never finding a firm footing. He makes a couple of friends in some foster siblings, but nothing ever really pans out.
2019: Free from the system, a man named John Lynch is waiting for him. This is when Bobby gets a speech to "lay low" and training. This is the closest thing he has to a family.
2020: John Lynch comes up with some interesting news, "Some of your old friends were spotted in New York.".
A few months ago: Lynch brings a manilla folder to Bobby. It reveals the pair are related. This is a lot to take in for Bobby. He leaves four days later heading to New York. It's the only thing he has. A memory of someone from his past that may not remember him.

Personality

Brazen:
Some people may think he's brash or impulsive. In reality it's bravery, it's guts, it's confidence, etc. Sadly, this can come free of shame. Unfortunately, the line between bravery and stupidity is -very- thin.

Considerate:
Considerate=At first this may not seem like much, but it can be. Bobby sees a bigger picture. Maybe not the whole picture, but a bigger piece some people. He'll see angles that others may not consider. Others that may be quick to label him a hothead, impulsive, or anything negative, may eat some crow later.

Loyal:
It may take a bit to earn Bobby's trust. However, once someone has it, Bobby will be loyal to a borderline fault. It gives him something to cling to, when hee hasn't had that much.

Character Sheet

Powers

Fire Blast:
He can direct the fire into concentrated blasts. This is more like an energy blast made of heat energy rather than a fire ball.

Fireshield:
Bobby can create a fire shield. This works against most man-made projectiles and certain energies. Slug throwers will melt. Fire energy, obviously, is neutralized. Energy damage is reduced. However, Ice energy will cut through the shields. Explosives won't hurt Bobby, but the blast will knock him that. It can do some damage if well timed, and/or well placed.

Flight:
Bobby can fly thanks to his powers. He can move at incredible speeds. Sadly, the powers require soome form of oxygen to move. No matter how fast he may get on Earth, he cannot break atmosphere with powers alone.

Going Nuclear:
Bobby can go nuclear. This takes time to focus. He pours a lot of energy and will to change his energy output. He becomes an utter force of nature. Enemy, and friend alike, will feel the destructive wrath.

Heat & Radiation Immunity:
The nature to his powers allows him to have immunities to heat, fire and radiation damage. This isn't imperviousness to various extremes. However, it's very hard to hurt him with these energies.

Heat Production:
Heat emanates off of Bobby. He can increase this to become a warm blanket or something that can be called an accelerant at an arson scene. On the inverse, he will -aways- show up in heat vision devices.

Skills

Alert:
Given the destructive nature of his powers, other skills, etc. Bobby knows how to spot something better than most. Sometimes this may be spotting a trap, or finding a chink in the metaphorical armor to a threat.

Close Quarter Combat:
John Lynch taught everyone in Gen 13 various skills. Bobby knows hand to hand combat. How to properly strike, take down and neutralize targets. All this training is from a well-decorated military man. So, Bobby may be confused for someone that did a tour.

Musical:
Bobby knows Rhythm. With a certain focus and direction, he could be a conductor. A maestro. A different focus and direction, guitar skills could take him across the country. Maybe even the globe, if a little luck steps in. He's extremely talented with a guitar and has a good ear for music. Other career choices keep Bobby from officially saying, "I'm a musician" knowing it actually pays for the bills. Sure, he can say that now. Sadly, people may have trouble believing this given a lack of stories and a lackluster home.

Resources

Gen 12:
John Lynch has friends. These friends are still out there. They may be tempted to offer his son resources, aid, advice and other help out of loyalty/friendship to Lynch.

Gen 13:
Those in the Gen 13 program share a unique bond with each other. They are brothers/sisters in arms in the foxhole. They may go a little above and beyond to help each other out (similarly to Gen 12 with each other).

Weaknesses

Family:
Bobby's never really had one of these. Yes, he has some, but this is still something he craves. Years in the foster system created feelings of not belonging, not being loved, not being cared about, etc. It may time due to other personality traits, but this is a blind spot for him. Someone with enough time, resources, or both, can exploit this.

Fire Powers:
A lot of Bobby's fire are fire based. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it's not without flaws.
- Fireshields can block out many projectiles. Explosive will send hm back, so not necessarily damaging him in the explosion, but the force could. Cold or wind attacks can also do some damage because both could cancel out the shield.
- Fire Generation can hit uncomfortable levels, maybe even hurt people if it gets too hot.
- Going nuclear is an option that can level any playing field, but this means -everyone-. Friendly fire can easily happen.
- Flying requires an oxygen source, or environment as it's fire based.

Hunted:
Those in Gen 13 are investment to some. A lot of time, money and energy went into thir creation. To others they're a stain on an otherwise perfect record. And some are still burnt (no pun) about their escape. Regardless of the motivation, people want to hunt Bobby and some of his other companions.
