Along Came a Spider then a Cat! Or is it Along Came a Cat then a Spider
Date of Scene: 08 January 2024
Location: Brooklyn
Synopsis: A Cat and Spider run into each other. One certainly has the attention of the other. Could it go both ways? Time will tell.
Cast of Characters: Kaine Parker, Felicia Hardy

Kaine Parker has posed:
Cat burglars come in all shapes and sizes. This includes the three-gentleman working up high. One s working on the glass cutter, and is quick to remove. The other two rush into the building. All three start a timer, 210 and seconds. That's the time they have.

it's a high rise office they pick. The trio rush toward a large painting that doesn't pull off the wall. It swings off the wall via hinges. One pulls out an industrial drill. "VRRRTTT" goes the engine and sparks fly as they slip on a pair of goggles.

Those with histories of robbery would understand the methods. They're working as a unit to get into a safe. A silent alarm goes off. However, it's going to be a while for an official response.

Although someone with dumb luck, or the right equipment, could come across this path. The moonlight does illuminate the way a little bit despite winter's night chill. Either way the night is going to be interesting.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Thieving is a skill, thieving as a team is a practice in communication, adaptability, and preparedness. All of which are being tested by this trio. All of which are aware of the city they work in. All of which know that Brooklyn isn't a paradise of crime with the multitudes of capes that patrol the city.

One such cape, or tights as some call them, swings over to the high rise with the stealth of a cat on the prowl. The hole in the window is quality work that the white haired pro admires briefly before. swinging through and. plopping softly onto her hands and knees before finding the shadows and seeking out the men.

The notion that a spider is around doesn't go unnoticed as the hair on the back of her neck warns the Black Cat. But for now. he attention is on tracking the three crims.

Kaine Parker has posed:
The one keeping track of it all doesn't hear Black Cat move inside. Eventually he turns and yells, "SPIDER-WOAMN!" he didn't get a good look at the costume. They're quick to pull out a simple glock handgun. They aim and the gun begins to bark. "CACHT! CACHT!" bullets cut through the air, easy to avoid as he's not doing anything fancy. Bullets will go through the glass window.

This causes one of the duo to look behind, "Faster! We got a leather cape here!"

And it's all of this noise that causes something else to join them. A shadow slips over Black Cat and the others. She recognizes the silhouette of a hanging spider-man. If she looks, it's not -that- Spider-man. Blood Spider hangs there waiting to see how this will unfold for a moment. He's not going to go in gun's blazing yet.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Diving out of the way of the first and taking two running steps she moves towards a wall where she runs onto it with two steps before she cartwheels through the air while still getting closer only for a thin metal cable whips out from the white fur on her wrist as she's upside down and hooks around the shooter's wrist before she twists and pulls the line taught.

Landing on her feet and rolling, pulling the cable hard with her gymnastics and physics, the man is pulled towards her hard or the gun is wrenched from his hand in her direction.

The thought crosses her mind that Spidey should have already stepped in to save her, as he is one to often do, but this one is different... But she keeps her mouth shut for now. "How are you three not already in that safe?" She chides as she stands back up as the line retracts back into her suit.

Kaine Parker has posed:
The shooter cries out ass the gun clatters on the ground. "AHHHH!" they cry out as Black Cat tugs the man forward. Apparently he did not keep himself so steady and it's how both of her wishes come true.

"Stupidity," growls the Spider as he moves to join the fray and answers the question for her. A hand extends and Black Cat may feel like he's aiming for her. That's when the webbing goes past to hit the one with the drill. A cocoon of webbing encases them.

Landing on his feet is a spider of black and red. He'll act like there's a door opened for Black Cat, "Beauty before age," he says letting her put the finishing touches on the third one.

Blood Spider waits to see what she will do. Just in case, he's ready to tie up the would be shooter.

At least this Spider isn't quick to think she's -with- these bozos.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
"I'm not -that- much older." Felicia reports to Kaine as she steps through the invisible make-believe door and acts like she's just stepped into a crime scene. Hands go up to her face and cover her mouth in shock. "Oh my god! Look what you've done to this place." She says, pouting towards the last crook before she simply walks towards him, figuring he's the brains of the crew and wont openly shoot at her. Right?

"Cmon, turn around and put your hands behind your back." A glance over her shoulder towards Blood Spider and she motions with the proper 'thwip' motion for him to cuff the crook. "I don't carry the cuffs around. Those stay in the bedroom." She teases.

Kaine Parker has posed:
Blood Spider jsut watches Black Cat's banter. All of it making him inwardly grin. The last guy siimply raises his hands.

"I was going to tell the guy, some people wouuld pay for a person dressed like you to put them in restraints," Blood Spider retorts. Then will make sure they're restraint. "C'mon putty-tat," and then he will jump out the hole the robbers make and he will wait to see how she jumps ut. He's half expecting her to jump into his arms.

Regardless, he will eventually ask one question. "So, you're fighting with the angel side, too?" the question holds weight. He'll ask it and it'll be up to her as to how, when and when she'll answer it. However, that tone tells her something. This Spider has his own set of sins, too. Someone recently made similar decisions to her own.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
Felicia turns after putting a post it note on the guy that Blood Spider first webbed up, "Curtesy of your friendly neighborhood Cat!" With an emoji kitten smiling underneath. "Ta boys." She says as she makes her way to the window and falls backwards out of it. Eyes closed, half expecting to land in the spider's arms.

"We keep bumping into each other in the night." She retorts, a hand moving to touch the spider's cheek over the mask. "Always was. If you're willing to admit the angels sometimes do the dirtiest work." Felicia says, an eyebrow lifting up beneath her mask, and a breath deep enough to sigh on the way out. "I ain't gonna ask your reasons Spider 2 or is it 3 now?"

Kaine Parker has posed:
Blood catches her and they will move toward a different spot in the city. A rooftop away from most prying eyes. "I was no angel and did the dirtiest of work," giving some insight into him. Then he looks at her, "Blood Spider. A lot of the other names were taken," he admits and shakes his had. "Because I wasn't on the side of angels. Left a lot of blood in my wake. Trying to lessen that from my legacy," he says nothng about redemption. "Keep running into me, and I'll think you'll have a crush. Or want to show me those handcuffs," he half teases. While he does not have the memories of the other two, tastes are there. And Black Cat has always been attractive to Spiders.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
"Blood Spider... No Hyphen?" Felicia asks, looking into the lenses of the mask and canting her head to the side as she does so. Finding her footing underneath herself she steps away from the spider and sashays her way to the edge of the building and looks over the side before looking back to him. "I'm still just going to call you spider. I recommend you, deal with it." The thief says with the biggest smile she can muster before she slowly closes her mouth to a more stoic look.

"And I recommend less, blood in my wake, and doom and gloom talk." The cat says, before looking at him fully and wiggling her fingers pointed towards him, near her chest. "It's a bit... hot topic and off putting." But he does sound a LOT like the old spider.

Kaine Parker has posed:
"I understand, Cat. Just know I might remove your adjective, too," he grins under the mask. Then he looks back to her ever s curiously.

"I did bring up a crush and a handcuffs," Blood retorts about brighter topics. "I'm not talking about too much doom and gloom, but I'm still learning to be bright. See the glass as half full," he smirks a little bit and looks out toward the city. "So, Cat. What do you do for fun besides flirt with spiders on rooftops? Me? I probably enjoy finer thngs when I can. Musicals. Combat sports. A few other things," he admits honestly. He shakes his head, "I'm still learning about myself. Trying to learn about the spider within," he chuckles a little bit before sitting down on th ledge.

Felicia Hardy has posed:
"That's how I can tell you're not spider 1. He was always the optimist, even in the darkest moments." Felicia admits with a frown crossing her lips. "It was infuriating, and yet, hearing you-" She turns and presses close to Kaine, her hand back on the side of his mask and she lifts her leg to press against his hip as she leans against him. "It sounds unnatural even as it sounds like you don't have trouble saying it. You've a lot of work to do, and don't try to amend the past, just ... worry about your future." Felicia says, her breath fogging the air before washing across the front of his mask and fogging the exterior of Blood Spider's lenses before she steps back towards the edge and steps back once more, falling backwards off the rooftop down towards the city below.

Kaine Parker has posed:
"Maybe a cat is making me think about the future," Blood says honestly as he feels the closeness. The heat of the moment. Yes, this probably just to get his attention, but it's working. Again, the genes still echo true even if the personality is a little different (or a lot of different). His gaze stays n her from under the mask. Then she fogs up the lences. A gloved hand will move toward her. "I'm learning. Quick," his gloved hand tries to linger at her face. Then he feels the lack of her warmth.

She jumps down toward the city and he rushes without hesitation. Both hands will spread outward, "THWP!" and then he'll pull! Trying to slingshot himself faster, trying to catch up toward the cat.

"Alright gorgeous, you got my attention,' he calls out. She probably has more than that, but Blood wouldn't admit to that just yet.

Whether he catches up to her, or not, is for another time.
