Synopsis: Remy is in the kitchen making jambalaya, and he and Emma have a talk.
Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Remy LeBeau

Emma Frost has posed:
It's sometime after dinner, and Emma Frost is entering into the kitchen. She's moving to sort through some of the alcoves where the wine is kept. Yes, she has plenty of her own, but she's not having to take bottles all the way from New York to Westchester. And Xavier is richer than she is, and there's plenty of good things available. So, sorting through the selection, Emma goes to find something appropriate and of excellent vintage, and moves to pour herself a glass of it, glancing about to see any others.

Remy LeBeau has posed:
Remy seems to be settling in and making this 'home', at least for the near future. He's in the kitchen making what appears to be a big batch of Gumbo if the smell and ingredients on the table are any indication. He's procured a Xavier's tee-shirt from somewhere to replace the bloodied one he had earlier. He gives Emma a nod as she walks in, "Ms. Frost. Twice in one day, keep t'is up and people are gonna start to talk..." he jests with a wink. "How are you, cher."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would glance at Remy, "Why hello there, Mister LeBeau. How interesting to have you back here. Do forgive me for having not caught up on the gossip. Is there something that you would care to enlighten us on or just more of the same?" It's a light tease rather than a jibe.

Remy LeBeau has posed:
"I 'spose that all depends on what 'the same' is, non?" Remy says as he adds some onion to the pot he is stirring. "Not much gossip to tell, I ain't been here long enough for the rumors to start spreadin' yet. I'm sure given time there will be plenty."

Remy takes a bit of a taste of what he is making, and adds a few more ingredients to the pot, stirring all the while.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod, "I see then. So were you up to anything specific while you were out or merely some of your normal pursuits?" By which she meant facing off with ninjas, doing something to annoy Belladonna..

Remy LeBeau has posed:

He shrugs with a bit of a sigh, "I was down in New Orleans, trying to see if I couldn' get back into the guild's good graces..." Remy admits as he adds some pepper to the mix, then he starts to add rice, "Thought I had things well in hand on that front. Simple in and out job, easy peasy. A little too easy, I suppose lookin' at it in hindsight. Shoulda seen the cards bein' dealt for what it was. Didn't get the river card till I was all in though, and then the trap was set. Now, well, I just have to let the heat fade and maybe try again sometime, non?" He tastes the mix, nodding to himself before looking over, "You? How t'ings with you and yours?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod, "Things are never as easy as one would hope, unfortunately. And things have been abuot the normal for this side of the world. Well, other than Monster Island emptying itself of the natives that had come there to rest." Monster.. Island? "That stands out rather significantly."

Remy LeBeau has posed:

"Monster Island? I must have missed the memo." Remy says as he moves around to the other side of the stove to lean against the counter. He folds his arms in front of his chest, "T'at w'at happened to the kid downstairs? Heard something about a giant lizard I t'ink. I wasn't payin' too close attention to be honest."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod, "Yes, Julian was injured being.." Wha'ts the polite way to say 'extremely stupid' for someone that was at least donig things to help rather than showboat (intentionally, Hellion had completely been showboating). "And small skyscraper sized."

Remy LeBeau has posed:
R     Remy shakes his head, more amused than anything. "What a life we lead, non? Giant lizards running round and people like us having to beat em down. And to t'ink that when I was a boy I thought just makin' sure I could pick a pocket was the worst of it."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would sigh, "It's been a very.. Very trying last few years. And I have no idea now what counts as a good one or a bad one with the calamities that we face. I fear that shall be consistency."

Remy LeBeau has posed:
"Ain't that the truth," Remy agrees and he holds out a imaginary glass as if joining in on a toast. "But I spose it's fair to say t'at it's the fire that tempers us."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would let out a sigh, "Yes but unfortunately we are consistently on fire. And one of these days it will burn hot enough that we won't have time to put it out."

Remy LeBeau has posed:
"Again, sounds 'bout right." Remy sighs, moving from his position to go fetch a glass of water from the tap, "Let's hope that day is long past our time. Until then, all we can do is continue to do what we do." He moves back over to the pot and stirs it some more, making sure that it doesn't stick to the bottom and burn. "Hungry?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would muse, "Why thank you. Whatever are you workin gon?" No matter waht sorts of issues she might have with Remy, he was an excellent cook. Which was one of the advantages of the Mansion and not having to bother with paying her personal chef back at her penthouse.

Remy LeBeau has posed:
"Jambalaya," Remy comments as he starts to get out a couple bowls, using a serving spoon to shovel some into the bowls. He adds a fork to each and brings one over to slide in front of Emma. "Hopefully it's not to spicy. I tried to keep it toned down form how Papa LeBeau done make it."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would sigh, "Well I suppose it might be. The normal style of food in Boston is rather bland after all. So will you be staying with us awhile, Mister LeBeau, or shall you be recovering for a bit then moving on to your next escapade?"

Remy LeBeau has posed:
Remy sits, starting to eat from the bowl in front of him, taking a bite before leaning back into his chair. "For now seems I'll be stickin' around. At the very least till the heat does down. Longer? Who knows what the cards hold, non? Guess it all depends on if t'ere a reason for me to stick around."
