Cast of Characters: Aldrif Odinsdottir, Mary Jane Watson

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela the Huntmistress has collected some goods for her trip and trudges up to Mary Jane's building. The thunder rolls ominously in the distance. Once the Jane answers, Angela walks in, "We have a quest to begin," she tells her, "I have procured the amulet of Agger for protection. It should protect us from the evil magic. Don't ask me how I got it," she explains and smirks.

Angela opens a small little satchel dangling from her shoulder and hands over the amulet, which has a large ruby, "Here. You hold onto it," she tells Mary Jane, "Muspelheim is a realm of heat and fire so it will not be raining," she grumbles as she wipes off some rain from herself.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson has a pair of swords slung over her back. One of then Sonja's, a core of Hyborean steel and secondary adamantine. The second that of a fallen Valkyr, gifted to her by Frigga. She would be following along after Angela and give a nod. "Got it, don't want to get burnt." She would purse her lips and move to take it.

"So should we expect a welcoming party as soon as we drop out? Or we're going to have to stalk them for awhile?" She would query cautiously while getting ready to travel.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela ducks out of the abode and trudges back through the rain to the nearby park, "Goblins with a welcoming party? Not likely but you can never be too sure," she explains. "They are probably hiding on the dark side of the continent. I have my mace but I would rather my sword," she grumbles, "Those will pay for testing us," she adds.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would nod at Angela and give a low bow, "This one was gifted to me by the All-Mother. She may stay in your care until we retrieve your comrade." She goes to gently take off the Valkyr's blade from her back to hand it over to Angela, if accepted. "They'll have plenty of room to ambush us along the way if we have a long journey."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela stops and takes the sword from Mary Jane, "Very well, I accept," she says as she looks over the blade, "Well-fashioned," she states and then looks up at her, "Our travel will be reduced if we can emerge just at the edge of the Dark Land," she explains, "But the only way to do that is ...sneak onto the Bifrost or use a magic gate. Have you thought over a plan?" she asks.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would shake her head, "We're not going to sneak onto the BiFrost. I'm thinking that we can just ask Heimdall. Tell him we go in quest for a weapon and adventure. I'm sure that he's not going to have any sort of reason to not send us along and back." That was hardly sporting.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela frowns, "No, we are not asking him," she mutters. She shifts her weight and stands there for a moment, "We will go back to the Wizard Agger and buy our travel gate. Give him a few pieces of silver," she explains with a wave of her hand, "But we will have to go back to Holland. I will fly us there."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would take a breath, "All right. I just don' tknow anyone that could teleport us there.. At least that I'd feel comfortable asking for that level of favor." The two people she knew that could theoretically do it she wouldn't ask for something like this.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela walks over next to Mary Jane and hrms, "What about a mutant? Some have that power don't they?" she asks, "Fine, you think about it while I fly us to Nijmegen in Holland," she explains. She tries to grab Mary Jane and fly off on their journey.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would let her arm be grabbed and lifted. "I know a few mutants, but none that can do planes walking. There's a magic user I knowt hat can do it but I'd rather not ask her unless it's a true emergency." This is a quest. And just asking someone that can instantly grant such an objective feels like cheating. The two are now flying

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela zooms both of them through the clouds and through the wind, "Then we will be in debt to the wizard! But we will deal with that later!" she calls out, which Mary Jane hopefully hears over the wind. Angela's animal cloak flutters in the breeze as she flies them across and down to the old city, Nijmegen. It's actually the outskirts where they land, in the farmland of the country. She looks to make sure Mary Jane has landed and isn't too wind blasted. She can see a few cabins in the distance, "There, let's go," she indicates and starts walking off.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would glance over about the place and muse softly, "Comfy." She walks along, and goes to adjust her own outfit, murmuring to herself. "Just as you've been in worse doesn't mean I'm just as strong.." A thing between her and Sonja, lapsing out verbally like a tic. "Lead on my Lady. And we'll figure out how to pay the wizard later, as you said." Her hand is still on the handle of her own blade as the two would head out to the village proper.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela has replaced where Xiphos was at her hip with Mary Jane's temp gift, and walks up to one of the cabins, "He hides himself away most of the time because he's a bit of an arrogant bastard," she indicates as she raps on the front door, "Agger! Tis I, Aldrif. I hast returned to talk with you!" she lets out loudly. She raps on the door again.

"It's open, woman!" Agger yells, "Stop making so much noise!" he adds. Angela enters into the room. Agger's cabin is a small little house and he's sitting just inside in a small living area. The room is covered in furs and he's smoking. Agger is a plump man with some thick glasses, not really looking much like a typical wizard.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would glance over at Agger as the two would go in, and she would give a bow to him. Speaking in English, "Sorry, I don't speak Norse at all." Apologetically - she didn't want to make the man speak in a language that wasn't his primary for her when Angela was here to negotiate. Then she would muse over..

"You don't have a cousin that's an Enchanter called Tim now, would you?" She would muse at a sort of joke that might not make sense to either. But Tim always did have lot sof fire and explosions with him..

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Agger eyes this Mary Jane and looks confused, "Tim? No. I don't know a Tim," he says, "Don't worry, I don't know Norse either," he says, "Now what the hell do you want? More favors?"

"Because he's not from around here," Angela adds. She eyes Agger annoyedly as he speaks to them with those comments and she puts her hand on her sword. Maybe Mary Jane can step in and be diplomatic.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would glance over at the man, and take a breath, "We're journeying to retrieve a stolen item that means the world to the woman it belongs to. It's her treasured possession and she cannot bear to be without it. So please, can you help send us after those that have taken it so that we can retrieve it? And deal with the monsters that stole it in the first place?" Technically she's telling the truth in all of this.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
"Why should I?" Agger asks Mary Jane, "You already owe me for the amulet," she adds. He points at Mary Jane and then says, "You want a favor? Fine. But I get a favor in return, alright? Some sort of errand or task. Let me think about it. Is that okay?" he asks pointedly.

Angela is quiet but at least she hasn't drawn her sword to cleave the man's head off. She lets Agger speak to Mary Jane.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would glance at the man, "We will perform some task but not unlimited. We will not take something that leads us to harm others that do not deserve it or is in of itself greater threat than we would put within. Or.." She would muse.. "I could offer to trade for something of different value when we return and you bring us back. If you would want to have a guess and a wager? I promise that such a thing would be worth that of your teleportation."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Agger hmms, "A trade? That might be worth while," he wonders, "A guess? I can't guess! It could be anything! It better be valuable. Fine fine! You make it worth it and you have a deal. Come back in the morning and I will send you to where you want to go! I'm busy right now!"

Angela frowns, "We have a deal, Agger. We will uphold our end," she mutters.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would smile, "Of course. We have a deal then." She would glance over at Angela. "I'll have half of what you're owed when we return in the morning." She would smile sweetly. "And take care, Sir."
