Synopsis: Mark and Bunny get an early jump on Valentine's Day exchanges.
Cast of Characters: Mark Grayson, Bunny Macleod

Mark Grayson has posed:
Okay. To be /fair/. This is Mark's first Valentine's Day with a significant other. He and Eve's relationship was no more way before reaching that milestone. In fact, his relationship with Bunny is his longest one ever. Sunny is not quite in second place but will be soon.

But what that means here is that Mark has to buy two of everything. So. There's two sets of balloons. Two sets of roses. Two giant teddy bears, though they look different! One is a yellow Funshine Bear and the other a Rainbow Bear. And two boxes of chocolates.

And that's where one will find Mark this early Valentine's morning, having snuck out before the others were awake to bring in the small pile of loot and setting it all on the couch into two neat little piles.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Valentine's day is a Very Dangerous Day.

Bunny had done her valentine's day shopping a couple days before, haunting retro markets and second-hand stores in order to find what she wanted.

Which is why she's sneaking out of the bedroom early in the morning, still in her pajamas, and carrying two brightly colored bags in red and pink foil.

She blinks a moment as she tilts her head, looking at Mark setting up the gifts like a St. Valentine version of St. Nick.

    "... you're up early?"

Mark Grayson has posed:
"...Ho ho ho?" Mark asks Bunny with a look as Bunny comes sneaking out in her pajamas with her own bag. Then there's a snicker. "I think we had the same idea." he admits. "But I did bring back Starbucks?"

A gesture over to the table where three drinks are sitting in a carrier. Even if Sunny's still in bed. He passes by Bunny, paying her a quick kiss to the cheek as he goes to collect his own drink. "Happy Valentine's Day, my Bunbun."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny tries to stop from laughing, her nose wrinkling a little as Mark kisses her, face smooshing a little bit before she turns and kisses his nose. "Happy Val's day MarkMark." she grins, and she runs her hands through her wild pink hair to try and calm it down before she goes to grab her own drink, which could very loosely be refered to as 'coffee'.

"I wasn't gonna get starbucks though. I was gonna order in. Got bomb tips last night." she yawns.

Mark Grayson has posed:
"Bomb tips?" Mark asks, confusion showing on his face. "Did I miss something? Sorry, been trying to deal with this whole... Universa and now Sunny is a queen thing." He grabs his own drink to take a swig from it. Way more plain than hers.

But he got hers /right/.

Something's up.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Something was up. Bunny sips her drink, which is perfect. Absolutely perfect. There is nothing wrong with it. It's exactly how she orders it (with apologizes and a two dollar tip).

"Yeah. Bomb tips. They were awesome, not the other kind of bomb. Like, I made bank." Bunny replies to Mark, and she leans back a moment. "Man. Does this mean that you're a King Consort? Do I have to start referring to you both as 'Your Majesty'?" she questions thoughtfully, and she flops down to the floor as to not disturb the gifts on the couch, and she looks to Mark.

Mark Grayson has posed:
Oh. He gave like a ten dollar tip. Because it was totally a veteran mode order and the barista gave him a look like Mark had lost his fool mind when he ordered it and added 'One Venti Americano, please.'.

"Hopefully we'll have this figured out before anyone's crowned anything." Mark rumbles, a shake of his head. "Something about the staff Sunny took and her homeworld needing power. Cecil's trying to get the details."

A breath. He's distracting himself. "Anyway!" he manages. "So. You know I missed the dance a few weeks back. I was up in space and all, right?" comes his question as he moves to settle down next to Bunny.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Huh. Well, once we get more information, anything I can do to help shall be done. Provided Cecil decides to share all the details this time. Jerk." she states, and she turns to the window and raises a fist as if she knew he was watching.

"Yeah, I recall. Uncle Bucky was feeding Alpine shrimp. I think he should get her a vest and label her a Support Animal. She seems chill enough for it. When she doesn't smell like shrimp." Bunny states as she crosses her legs, sitting with her back against the bottom of the couch.

Mark Grayson has posed:
"Ooh! Bomb tips! Now I get it." Mark chuckles a little at that, before he gives a grunt about Cecil sharing information. "I've made it pretty clear if he hides things from us from now on out, what's going to happen."

He closes his eyes, shaking that off. Nope. Not the direction he wants to go with this.

"So after helping the cosmonaut get home, I made a detour." he admits to her. "You know there's asteroids between here and Mars, right? And a couple of times, I got called up to push some asteroids around for space missions if they got too close. Anyway. I read up on them. Did you know they have some really hard to find stuff in them?" he asks curiously.

"So... that night? I went back out and collected one. And then came home, and after some work..." he pulls out a small box and presents it to Bunny. "Happy Valentine's Day, Bernice Marie."

When she opens the box, it's a small gold and platinum ring with three little stones set in it. "It's not an engagement or anything... but it's how far I'm willing to go to be in your heart. And my promise to you."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Yeah, the asteroid belt and all, sometimes some get away. Bunch of microplanets?" Bunny considers, her nose wrinkling again as she pauses, and she opens her mouth, and then closes it a moment as Mark states that he collected an asteroid.

And when he hands her the box, she gets a deer-in-the-headlights-look and her mouth hangs open.

She is suddenly very, very awake.

And she takes the box in her hands, shifting it around a little bit before she looks up at Mark, and then down to the box again. Fingers shaking. Hands quivering -- and she opens the box.

The ring is shining. The stones set in it catch the light with unearthly quality since they're not from Earth. And Bunny gives a soft, high-pitched 'eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' soound.

    "Mark! It's beautiful!"

Mark Grayson has posed:
Truth be told, Mark knows Bunny is very fast and very strong now. She can easily fly off and if it was too soon, he'd totally know really quickly. So as her reaction starts, he's preparing an explanation.

Just for her to open the box, and then she lets out an eee that he actually feels in his ears and is for a moment disoriented.

And there is a flood of relief as she admits that she loves it. It's audible, even as his hand goes to his chest. "If you do not mind?" he asks her, as he takes the ring out of the box.

And takes her right hand to place it on her ring finger. That he had wrapped a string around one night while she was asleep to get her size. "So this is my promise. I will always be here. I will never stray from you. I will stand by you. With you. I will be honest when we disagree, apologetic when I'm wrong. But you and I... we're for the other, just as much as Sunny is. And I love you. And I promise my now and tomorrow to you."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny does not know that she can disorient Viltrumites with her excitement unless it's a head-on collision.

Bunny also is now floating about three inches above the ground, her heart beating quickly as she offers up her right hand.

Her blue eyes go to Mark's as he begins to speak, and her shoulders rise up. Her eyes fill with tears, and her drink is forgotten as she throws herself at Mark's shoulders once the oath was said. Her face is pressed against his shoulder.

"You dork. I love you. I promise to be patient. I promise to be kind. I will stand with you for all things." she whispers.

Mark Grayson has posed:
Once the ring is on and Bunny throws herself againsst him, Mark's arms squeeze around her waist, holding her tightly in return. Okay, so fear is not the only thing that makes her float.

"Good." he says with a small chuckle.

And then a playful glance to the bedroom, and he asides to Bunny. "...she had a late night. Should we see if she's awake?" he asks teasingly. But he's also just find with being all to Bunny's self.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Let Sunny sleep in. She works restaurants. We never get to do that." Bunny chides softly, and then takes a deep breath, and lets it out slowly.

"ohmigod you're definitely winning Valentine's day. I just got you more shirts."

Mark Grayson has posed:
Mark laughs and plops on the edge of the couch to pull Bunny into his lap for a snuggle. "I mean, my present didn't cost me anything?" he suggests with a smirk. "And I know now I could probably go to Mars and back on a single breath. So bonus."

"No, you work late nights in a dive bar for tips, and I sponge off the government as a registered super hero." He nods. "But yeah. Easier to let you gals sleep when you need it. Plus, she's usually raring to go once she's awake."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Time and effort! You went most of the way to freaking MARS and then you had to have someone make the ring!" Bunny protests as she's tugged like a balloon with questionable helium into Mark's lap, and she happily sighs against his chest.

"And I know, I know, she's intimidating first thing in the morning."

Mark Grayson has posed:
An amused noise comes from Mark and he kisses the side of her neck with a little nuzzle. "Are you having second thoughts?" he asks, clearly teasing her. At least he hopes she's not having second thoughts on the matter.

"You both can be a handful at the right moment." he points out to her. "I'm pratically tame by comparison."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Ha! You're hardly tame Mr. 'I lift tanks for a light workout and fly to mars on a single breath'." Bunny points out. "I can only hold my breath for like three minutes before I start getting dizzy!" she protests, leaning into the cuddling on the couch before she reaches down with her foot to pull the red bag closer.

"You want your stuff now or when Sunny wakes up?"

Mark Grayson has posed:
"I'm not the one with a drawer filled with vintage looking lingerie and other... goodies." Mark teases Bunny right back with a smirk as she cuddles in and starts to pull the bag closer. "But it seems so hard to reach..." he makes a big show out of trying to reach for the bag, but Bunny just has him pinned down.

"...so far away." he teases, a glance up at her. "We'll get Sunny a ring, when we're ready." he promises her. "I figured we could shop for it together. Unless you want me to just go get another asteroid."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"What? Get her a ring? Oh no my man -- you had this one made, from an asteroid. We're not going to just 'get' a ring for Sunny." Bunny states firmly. "That wouldn't be fair. This also means of course that now I have to find jewelry for yooou and let's keep my drawer of unmentionables quiet, there are some things Cecil doesn't need to know about. Argh."

Mark Grayson has posed:
"Man, talk about setting the bar high for myself." Mark mutters with a smirk. But when she mentions Cecil, he frowns. "I should get Vivian to come scan this place for bugs." he mutters quietly, a shake of his head. "Maybe Robot." That seems to be the safer bet.

A pause, and he adds. "Jewelry for me comes later~" he points out to her, playful amusement in his tone as he flops back on the couch, bringing Bunny with her. "To be fair, I did have a little hairpin made from what was leftover from your ring for her Valentine's gift. So. Fair. Right?"

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny sticks her tongue out. "I dunno. I could get you a black titanium band to wear around your wrist or something. Have somenoe put a radio in it. Then you can talk to your wrist like a secret agent." Bunny jokes as she gives a grin.

"I thought Cecil kind of was in charge of your old team too?" she questions, her eyebrows rising up.

Mark Grayson has posed:
"He is. Which is why we need to be careful sbout things when we're down there. And I'll have someone look over whatever Rudy comes up with to help you out." Mark admits with a sigh. "Cecil is part of the reason Eve ran off to Africa. Now that I look back on it, I can't really blame her for it."

Totally wasn't his fault she left. Nope. Not at alllll.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"I'll make sure to be on my best behavior." Bunny states with a small grin, and she reaches over for the red bag, and picks it up with a foot.

"Meanwhile..." she trails off, and leans her head against Mark.

    "Wanna make waffles?"

Mark Grayson has posed:
"You really want me to open that bag, don't you." Mark comments, before she mentions... waffles.

"Mmhmm!" he comments, eyes suddenly bright and playful. "I love waffles."
