- Emma Frost has posed:
It's late in the evening. Emma Frost is sitting as a cleanup crew goes through her 'howevermany after' birthday party. Most of those present have left or are hungover. Emma Frost is sitting with a mostly empty bottle of wine and a goblet.
- Sharon Smith has posed:
A small cat arrived very late to the party. It wasn't her fault, she didn't own a watch, nor did she concern herself with the concept of time. Things happened when they happened, and the best things happened when she was there. The cat didn't come empty handed (pawed?). She had a big, bright red ribbon clasped between her teeth. The thing was absurdly long and left a far spanning trail of red ribbon-ness behind her as she trotted in and hopped up on the table. She sat squarely next to a half empty bottle of wine nearly as tall as herself.
- Emma Frost has posed:
The small purple cat entering in gets a glance from Emma. "Why hello there Catseye." She would croon over. "is that for me? You didn't have to." She's rather surprised that Catseye isn't coming in with a mouse between her lips.
- Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith deposited one end of the ribbon close to the edge of the table. At least it didn't have to be unwrapped, being a ribbon and all. Catseye's tail flicked. She gave the silent cat treatment for a few moments before finally growing into shape of a purple haired human woman with human lips and vocal cords to more cordially talk back. "It is!" she stated proudly, her feet dangling off the table's edge. Catseye looked around. "I was going to bring you a bird but..." she licked her lips.
It was hard to tell if catseye was sarcastically joking about eating a bird or not. She always delivered her jokes with such a straight face. The odds were likely 50/50, but it is better not to think about the half of those odds that involved an unfortunately eaten bird.
- Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would glance over at Catseye, "But of course, thank you darling. I do appreciate it." It's not a cockroach or a pigeon. Or a rat taken from the sewers. Emma's fingers go down towards Catseye to scritch her behind the ears firmly.
"It means much to me. Thank you for showing up. I presumed you were napping somewhere. Hav eyou had a good day?"
- Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith pursed her lips. "You already got those I expect? I wanted to be. Original." she claimed proudly. Her eyes drifted to the open top of the wine bottle, staring down it as though expecting to spot a rat hidden inside. "Ribbons are very hard to travel with." she claimed. It was probably a true statement for a cat sized creature. It shouldn't be for such a creature that could shift forms so easily, but Catseye could be stubborn.
- Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod over, "Why, it's lovely Catseye. I'll treasure it. Have you been enjoying yourself latley?" SHe's impressed and appreciative that Catseye went to the effort. And that it had any meaning to her. Birthdays probably had little meaning to the cat that's mutant power let her turn into a human.
- Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith smirked. It was a forced smirk, but a smirk nonetheless. "I have been working in an ice-cream truck" she snuggly remarked. Her expression blanked as she felt the need to correct. "I have been sitting in an ice cream truck. It hasn't been moving. I think I employed myself in the wrong season, but it will start moving soon. I will sell an ice cream." she vaguely and absurdly decreed. At least she had goals. They were very strange goals, but at least they seemed harmless.
- Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would ah, "I see. So you're starting to pursue the fruits of capitalism? What has lead to thise choice of vocation then?" This actually does catch her interest.. It does seem rather contrary to what the eternal kitten would do. And it's good to have life goals.
- Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith 's smirk returned. It seemed more genuine this time. She knew how silly the call to her vocation was before she even explained it. "I saw it, I found the music box, and the old man who takes care of it seems very nice." she explained with a simple smile. "Everyone loves ice cream trucks." she decreed.
