Patty Sloan has posed:
Its been a long night. After the ride from NYC to Westchester, Patty gave Jubilee her sweatshirt back. She was still pretty cold so going inside and taking a hot shower was nice. Then she slept like she hadn't slept in days. She had stayed at a motel the previous night and well, Some people were fighting in the next room over. They kept going all night long! It was enough to keep her awake.

When she woke up, No one was in the dorm. She wasn't allowed to use her phone so she just watched TV. And watched TV. And watched TV some more. After a good 6 hours of watching tv, she had about enough of it and turned it off. Standing up she made a snap decision. Patty was going to sneak out. She needed some fresh air or something! Anything to curb the boredom! So thats what she did. She slipped out of the dorm and made her way outside.

There was a lot to say about seeing the grounds in the daylight. She arrived in the dark of night. She couldn't really see the mansion or the dorms where she was staying, save for the lighted path ways and such. Now she can see and her eyes light up. "Wow! This place is amazing." She states as she starts walking into the back yard of the school. She turns and looks at the dorms. As long as she can see them she should be fine, right?

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto Da Costa is impeccably dressed, dark suit, with a yellow shirt, the shades of both will become intimately familiar in the near future but for now, he still looks good even if a bit overdressed for pushing a man in a wheelchair across damp grass in the twilight, Roberto sighs, "I just don't feel that my skills are the best fit for that. I do realize my mutant abilities make a valuable field asset but isn't the fact that we're more than our powers the cornerstone of what you've taught us? I think that what we're building with the Corporation, making a way for mutants outside of having to fight every day to exist is important... more important, even if that's an unpopular opinion. Knight to King's rook three, you're in check sir."

The man in the wheelchair is of course the founder, the professor, man for whom this institution is named, Charles Xavier. Bald head, clean shaven, kind but intense eyes. The older man smirks, "Indeed, I am, how many gambits is that concurrently? Roberto, you are a valuable asset in the field and you have training many other mutants do not. But I do understand what you are saying and I am glad things are going well. Now to the matter at hand." Charles gives Patty the smile, the one that makes everyone the center of his world, the smile that has recruited a thousand a mutants, his voice is kind but strong, "Patty, isn't it? Yes, thank you, this place is my whom, and a place of learning. I have heard the story surrounding your arrival and I apologize for not getting to speak with you earlier. This is Roberto Da Costa, one of my students."

Patty Sloan has posed:
The blonde is startled a bit when she is first addressed. "Oh! I'm sorry. I don't know if I should be out here. I was just feeling stuffy in Jubilation's dorm. She told me I couldn't use my phone and the tv was just showing a bunch of talk shows." She blushes and takes a deep breath. "Yes Sir. Patricia Sloan. Though everyone just calls me Patty." She listens to the man speak.

She turns to look at Roberto and gives a polite smile. "Nice to meet you Mr. Da Costa. Patty Sloan." She states while touching her chest. She then extends a hand to both Roberto and to Charles. "Forgive me, I didn't expect to see such an amazing place when I snuck out. I didn't learn a lot about it from Jubilation. She just offered me a place to sleep and a place to shower. Don't worry, I took her up on both of those choices." She laughs a little laugh. "I know there are probably some questions about how I got to New York City in the first place and the events that happened in Jersey Shore, PA. I can explain everything."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto Da Costa steps forward and takes Patty's offered hand in both of his warmly, he bows and kisses her hand gently, "Roberto, unless we're in class. Welcome, yes, this place is quite lovely, not as nice as my estate in Rio, or the one in Tuscany but lovely nonetheless." Berto gives Patty a winky and she can see a smirk pass over the Professor's face as this is an old game.

"Yes, we're aware Mr. Da Costa." The professor says with only the vaguest hint of exasperation, he offers his own hand from the chair, "You are not in any trouble Ms. Sloan. You are welcome on the grounds and in the house and dorms. I ask that you respect the subbasement spaces which are off limits for now and of course the rooms of the other residents. You are welcome to stay as long as you like. Rooms have been made up so you need not impinge or Ms. Lee's and Ms. Ashida's kindness any longer than necessary. Yes, I was curious as to the evnts but had no wishe to pry. Should we contact your parents to reassure them that you are okay?"

Patty Sloan has posed:
Roberto's charms are not missed by Patty. She curtseys politely, "A pleasure to meet you Roberto." She then notes Smirk of the Professor. She can't help but giggle just a little.

Then the rules are laid out. "The house and dorms are allowed. No going into people's rooms without permission. Stay out of the subbasement. I got it. I won't let you down." When her parents are brought up she takes a deep breath. "If I am allowed to use my phone, I can call my moms. Or you can. Its your choice. Jubilation had me turn my phone off for the time being."

Finally the girl comes to the situation that caused her to wind up here. "I will make this as short as possible. It all started when I picked up a hitchhiker. He needed parts for his umm... vehicle. We went to Walco. I ran into one of my school bullies. She teased me like before and pushed me to the ground. She went inside. I got up and went inside with the hitchhiker to help him buy the parts he needed. The bully was waiting for me and demanded I give her the money I was going to spend there. I was doing all I can to hold back my abilities but... I lost control and she wound up in a DVD display."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
The Professor considers your phone and then nods, "If you would like to stay here, I can speak with your Mothers. I have some familiarty in this regard." He smiles and glances at Berto who nods in the affirmative. "You may turn your phone back on, please limit any calls. I am sorry you experienced bullying but it is not uncommon. We can teach you to control your abilities if you like, I can offer you enrollment in the school's college curriculum and a small stipend. Your education room and board will be covered. You may be asked to perform some errands for the school. Dvd display, you said?

Roberto audibly sighs, "I can put her in the system and have Kate get her all registered... do you have a preferred degree?"

Patty Sloan has posed:
"I never really thought about what degree I'd want. I wanted to go to college since I graduated high school but it seemed so far off. I had a car that kept breaking down. That got left in Jersey Shore." Patty is giddy with excitement. She looks between the Professor and Roberto. "I need to call and quit my job, assuming they didn't fire me."

She quickly turns her phone back on and sure enough, there is a few messages. One from her work which she checks first off. Its as she feared. Her job let her go because of the events at the Walco. This causes her to tear up a bit. "Damn. I had that job since I was 16. It was there that I found out I was a mutant." She then checks her other message. Its from her moms. They are simply wondering where she is. "Did you want to talk to my moms now or another time? I can call them up for you."

"Wait, you can teach me to control my abilities? That would be amazing! I can sorta keep myself from using them unless I get too worked up. Also, I umm have a physical mutation." She blushes and looks down for a moment. "I have wings... They are belted down so no one can see them and I so I can't really move them."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles, and responds offhandedly "The commute would be problematic anyway. We can have your car towed here, you can fix it in the garage or ask one of the others to take care of it." He nods about schooling, "You don't have to make any decisions yet."

The professor nods and smiles, "I can reach out to them and calm their worries, yes, we can teach you to control your abilities, that is one of the things this school is for, another is to give mutants a place to be themselves. You are free to show off your wings whenever you choose. We have a few mutants with similar mutations, though of course each mutant is unique. At any rate, welcome to Xavier's."

    Roberto nods, "Welcome."

Patty Sloan has posed:
"Thank you so much!" Patty exclaims to Roberto. SHe smiles, "Well its missing a Catalytic Converter and its power steering is almost shot. But I can work on it a little and maybe someone around here might be better at fixing it than me." She blushes. "The guy who got me out of Jersey Shore needed the Catalytic converter to get his vehicle moving."

Then her attention goes to the Professor. "That would be awesome. I love my moms and they did their best to protect me from everyone and everything. Its time I spread my wings and fly on my own, pardon the pun. As for my wings, I will need to get some sort of clothing. Something I can put my wings through so they can be out. Maybe when we get my car I can get some of my clothing from my home." She blushes "Oh if you are wondering what I can do..." She smiles and the wind picks up, blowing gently for now.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles, "We have several students and a couple of teachers with an interest in mechanics. I'm sure you could work something out."

The professor smiles, "Yes, we can work something out we have school clothes that might fit the bill, and you can check with Warren for some of his hand me downs, he is quite the clothes horse." He turns to Roberto, "No, you cannot tell him I said that." Roberto snaps his fingers with a bemused expression as the Professo returns his attention to Patty, "I can speak to your Mothers and arrange things, even have a care package sent if that would be the easiest route to getting you acclimated."
Roberto tilts his head as he regards the professor, "I knew an airbender would show up sooner or later. Julio owes me money... do you have a codename, or can we call you Aang?"

Patty Sloan has posed:
Patty blinks a few times. "I can work on clothes. As long as I have a sewing kit, I can make modifications." She smiles. "I always wanted to do cosplay and never had a chance to. I practiced and learned to make outfits.

She turns her attention back to the Professor. "That would be really great. I am so excited to be here. I know I am new but this place seems like heaven!" She giggles a little before looking back to Roberto. "Really? Aang?" She facepalms. "I don't really have a codename. Is that a common thing? People with codenames?" She looks curious about this.

"I guess if I had to settle on a name to go by, I think Sylph would be pretty cool. They are um, Air Elementals from ancient Greece. So I think it would be cool to go by that name."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
The Professor nods safely,"Yes, there a number of students who have become quite skilled as seamstresses and tailors for various reasons. You could easily join that network speak to Katherine Pryde and Rogue about that. The day to day affairs of the school are run by Dr. Jean Grey, my protege. Roberto and Warren are two of the school's wealthiest alumni and aid me with financial decisions and resources for special projects of various sorts. More in line with Elysium, I think. It is nice to have a student who appreciates the classics over pop culture." He gives Roberto an arch smile.

Roberto narrows his eyebrows, "I literally minored in Classics, they're actually from the 17th century. Wait, are you mocking me old man?" The professor actually snorts, "This is why people think you're stuffy." He is still giggling. "Aang... "

Patty Sloan has posed:
"That is something I am not." The girl blushes and looks down. "I have always been on the poor side. I was working at a non-profit thrift store before. I chose to work there to help people. Its something I like to do. I wanna help others." She smiles. "I met Ms. Pryde at the charity thing. She's how I got in in the first place. I also met Mr. Warren." She can't remember his last name. "He has really impressive wings!" She giggles a little over that. "Mine aren't nearly as angelic. Mine are closer to that of a dragon fly."

She then looks at Roberto, "Seems ancient enough!" She giggles. "I am not an air bender! I don't know what I am besides a mutant with wind powers. But I ain't Aang!" She sticks her tongue out playfully before shaking off the childish display. "Sorry. I didn't get teased in a playful manner in school. This is the closest thing to that I've ever really experienced."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto Da Costa smiles, and nods, "Playful teasing is one of my gifts, Sam says it's how I make up for being an only child. Doug says I'm just mean." he shrugs, "I'm sure the truth is somewhere in the middle."
The professor settles himself, "I am inclined to side with Doug, though I may be less that impartial." He settles his chin on his hand and considers, "Yes, let us return to the mansion and call your mothers, then we can eat and get you settled into a room. Roberto can you take me back towards the Mansion?" Roberto remarks wryly, "By all means your liege, you're still in check." "Bishop to King's rook three, bishop takes knight." "...Dang it, I liked that knight." The professor nods, "You've always favored knights, and paladins."

Roberto smiles and is quite for a bit as he pushes, "I will get her room set up while you make the call Professor."

Patty Sloan has posed:
"Okay! Cool I definitely could eat. I didn't wanna eat anything in Jubilation's dorm because I didn't know what was hers and what was her roommates. I didn't want to be a pest." She smiles a little. "Gotta be nice to the people that put me up."

As Roberto wheels the Professor toward the mansion, Patty stops and assesses the situation. Just a few days ago she was fleeing for her life. Yesterday she was homeless. Today she was a college girl who was going to learn about her abilities. What in the world is tomorrow going to bring? She quickly moves to catch up with the two men. One thing is certain. Her life is never going to be the same.
