Profile
A smalltown girl discovering a world so much bigger than she ever thought she would find, Patty Sloan is a Mutant who has been hiding from the world since her powers manifested several years ago. She has a burning desire to attend college because to her that is what she is supposed to do after high school. She loves helping others and does so often by helping out at her job.
Timeline
Timeline:
* 2005: Born and raised in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania. Father is unknown. Mothers are Catharine and Gwendolyn Sloan.
* 2012: Age 7, Learned to knit. Gave out her first homemade gifts.
* 2018: Age 13, Gets glasses. Teasing starts in school.
* 2021: Age 16, Gets a job at a Thrift store. Held at gun point by robbers. X-gene activates causing her to use wind powers for the first time. Wings begin growing in shortly after. Parents tell her to use belts to hold them down and hide them. Forbid her from swimming and other gym activities.
* 2023: Graduation. She starts working in earnest to make money to attend college.

Personality
Altruistic:
Patty is a very sweet, very caring young woman. She is the type to put others needs in front of her own. She places others above herself. This is a double edged sword. On one hand, she will go out of her way to help others out and 'save the day'. On the other hand she doesn't value her own situations. She is very selfless. This also stems from a low self esteem. If it means others will like her, she will give of herself.
Loyal:
Patty is Loyal to a fault. She doesn't have many friends. Those she does have she treasures more than gold. She will do anything for a friend and those who count on her. She has kept people at a distance through much of her time in school so those few friends that she has are most important to her.
Shy:
Patty was bullied a lot as she grew up. Be it from being a late bloomer or for wearing glasses. This caused her to clam up. When away from bullies and around friends, she tends to be more open and a bit less shy but around new people? She doesn't say much. The thing that would help her would probably be wearing a mask. Something to hide behind would allow her to be confident and more willing to take risks.

Powers
Air Manipulation:
Patty can generate and manipulate winds up to about 70mph. With this she can do damage but she can't do severe damage. With that wind though she can create downbursts, gusts, and use it to enhance her movement if she so chooses.
Flight:
Patty can fly. Her wings must be exposed and able to move through the air. She can either hover or fly upwards at about 70 Mph.
Sylph Physiology:
Patty for the most part has the qualities of a Sylph. An Air Elemental. With this she gains her four dragonfly like wings and has ears that are slightly pointed.
Skills
Cosplaying:
While she has never gotten to go to a convention, She has the knack for making costumes and wants to actually use them to go to a convention someday.
Deal Finding:
Patty has worked in a thrift store for a few years. With that she has picked up a habit of finding good deals at places such as thrift stores and discount shops.
Knitting:
Patty learned from a young age how to knit and often will make gifts for her friends and family through this.
Resources
Home:
She still lives at home with her parents. Not the greatest of conditions but it beats the streets.
Job:
Patty has a job at a local Thrift store. Its not great pay but she can shop there at a discount!
Vehicle:
She has an old banger of a car that is really on its last leg. It still runs though and that keeps her going to work and keeps the mechanic in business. It is a 1993 Honda Civic
Weaknesses
Fear:
Patty has a number of fears that cause her to be a bit on the anxious side. She is afraid of being discovered as a Mutant, this fear was instilled in her by her parents. She is afraid of being a failure. She is very much afraid that her car is going to leave her stranded. Some of these are pretty mundane but then there is a fear of heights that could have a bit of a problem for her.
Hidden:
Patty was well hidden from the world. Her powers aren't especially showy so her moms used this to their advantage to keep Patty's Mutant abilities hidden from the world. They are the ones who told her to use belts to tie down her wings so she could wear normal cloths. They also made sure she wasn't permitted to do swimming or other activities that could reveal her physical mutation. This has caused her knowledge of her abilities to be stunted. Even when trying to play with her abilities on particularly hot days, she was chastised for causing air to move to cool down. Even if she wasn't doing it in the first place.
Self Esteem:
Patty has a dreadfully low self esteem. This stems from being bullied during her school years and the fear that she will never be more than a poor girl from a small town. She longs to be free of this one but has no idea how to build up her self confidence.
