Synopsis: Mary Jane and Angela have a spar.
Cast of Characters: Mary Jane Watson, Aldrif Odinsdottir

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
It was a casual sort of setup over for a spar. The ribbon-clad asgardian assassin, and the redhead possessed by a barbarian spirit. Mary Jane was in one of the sparring areas twirling a set of staves.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela walks around the bench and over to the sparring again, "MJ have you been waiting long?" she asks her, "I have to tell you about those I've met recently. They are interesting folk," she explains.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would shake her head, "No, not at all. I figured I haven't gotten to see you fight that much. And best way to learn is by experience.. On the receiving end. And you can regale me while you brawl me." Quipping

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela hmms, "Well, this curious man approached me yesterday then there were these superheroes I met last week," she explains. She puts hands on her hips and looks over at Mary Jane, then motions to her to move forward, "Oh? You wish to start fighting?"

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
She would 'ah', "Well, sounds like you've been doing interesting. I'm glad you're finding MIdgard entertaining. And I could use a spar." She goes to twirl the staves. "You won't go easy on me and if I get my head caved in, I might as well have it done by the best."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela opens her arms and smirks a bit, "Don't be too defeatist. You are what you think you are," she advises Mary Jane. "Yes, interesting. I did have one bounty but it was a quick one. These Midgardians are of no challenge," she explains to her.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would grin, "Well, you have a few tens of millenia on me and a lot more training and varied experience. So I think that I have a fair assessment of how low my chances are if you take the fight seriously." She's rather realistic after all.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela chuckles, "Fine, I won't take the fight seriously then," she says and might be making a rare joke. "I will use no weapon. I will be unarmed and undefended! You will attack a poor innnocent warrior with no defense?" she asks with a little smirk.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would smirk, "Yes, I would. You're neither poor nor innocent. And anyone can be a combatant. You only run out of weapons when the room is empty and barren, and not even then." Her weapons ready, she waits for Angela's gesture to attack.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela frumps and motions to herself, "Well, I have no sword and no shield," she explains, "Well it is good you art on defense. I could have an underhanded plan but you never know," she explains.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would pff, "YOur hair is a weapon. Unless you're going to spontaneously shave.." Then she's on the attack! Using the staves like batons, wielding them like knives to try and get extra striking power, going for attempted quick flank attacks on Angela!

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela crosses her arms and hmms, "My hair? What do you mean?" she asks. The ribbons spike out from Angela and criss cross as they swipe at Mary Jane to keep her away. Angela turns and faces Mary Jane, "Tis useless to try to be coy!" she explains.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
The ribbons are met with quick blocks, even as Mary Jane has to retreat from them. "See?" She would quip, going to rapidly circle around, trying to get past the guard of the wall of ribbons. Her tone merry.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela watches Mary Jane as she darts back from the ribbons, "Ah, you were prepared for them hmm?" she asks, "Yes, perhaps I am getting in too much of a habit. Just the other day a foe knew what I might do also," she explains with a glum look. Her ribbons withdraw from trying to poke Mary Jane.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would go on the defensive, "Oh, who were you fighting? And just as they know what you're doing doesn't mean they can stop it. No sense sometimes to mess up a fighting style because it works. How could they keep up with you?" Going on the attack again.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela motions to herself, "They used an electric grenade to distract me," she explains and looks sorta upset with the thought of it, "But it was merely a distraction. These Midgardians still had no chance," she explains. She deflects Mary Jane's attack.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
The attacks are all deflected, followed up by Mary Jane trying to slam her foot up and over to Angela's gut. Given the other woman has an extended reach thanks to her greater height, it probably doesn't go well. "Then consider it a learning experience. Even the greatest swordfighter in the world can lose to a trick they don't know."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela frowns, "I didn't lose!" she announces and thwaps Mary Jane's knee and foot away with her hands. She tries to push Mary Jane as she's close, "I was only distracted!" she lets out, as if anyone could insinuate she would lose to a Midgardian trick.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson is flung away over then and goes to get up and smirks, "Of course you didn't. But to you I'm sure that having a single thing catch you off guard qualifies. Just one single moment someone had the advantage on you."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela puts her hands on her hips and smirks, "It is true," she mutters disappointedly, "I don't yet know how this Midgardian was able to distract me," she adds, "Maybe someone told him about me," she explains. She walks over to Mary Jane.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would shake her head "No, it wasn't against you personally. I'm guessing it was something they brought along with them to handle anyone who would show up. It's not the most common tactic but it's an effective one. So what works, others imitate."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela smirks and crosses her arms, looking distressed by this little fact, "It didn't seem like that. It seemed like they were prepared. I guess it could have been worse," she mutters and walks away from the sparring, looking depressed.
