Patty Sloan has posed:
Its evening time at Xavier's school for gifted youngsters. Things are quiet outside. The sun may be setting but no one could really tell. The sky is very cloudy, making things grey.

In the Student Gardens, Patty happens to be out sitting. That is not to say she is doing nothing. She brought with her a plastic bag. As she walks out into a fallow field, She drops the bag. While the skies are grey its not really windy. In other words its a perfect day for some practice for the new College student. Standing back she begins to focus on the bag. Air starts moving, blowing the back upwards. Its only brief as the bag gently falls back down. She does it again, making the wind blow the bag upward and letting it fall back down. Then with a smile, she moves her hand just a little. Wind swirls around causing the bag to whip around softly. Its just enough to make the bag spin in circles.

Jubilation Lee has posed:
The familiar whistles and explosions of a fireworks show appear out of nowhere, illuminating the grounds of the student gardens with a rainbow of color. Instead of the boring primaries, the explosions are mixtures of pinks, yellows, and purples, and seem to be concentrated just above Patty's head, as though the entire show is a private one just for her. After a few seconds, the last of the fireworks putters out and a faint applause can be heard from one of the darker corners of the garden.

"Look at you, girl!" comes a friendly voice. The Beverly Hills valley accent unmistakably belongs to Jubilee.

"I thought I've seen them all, but I didn't know anyone had power over bags!" Jubilation adds, grinning from ear to ear. She's, of course, kidding.

Patty Sloan has posed:
Patty wasn't expecting fireworks. Its certainly not July or the new year or any other patriotic holiday where people go crazy with fireworks. So its not surprising when she jumps in fear and loses control of her bag. It gets blasted a good twenty feet away. "EEP!" She then looks up and watches the display. She never thought anyone would have firework powers so thats really cool to her.

Finally the show comes to and end and she hears the familiar voice of Jubilee. She turns to her and gives a little wave. "Oh umm Hi!" She then giggles a little. "Oh I don't have control over bags. I do have control over what is moving the bag." She looks over at the bag and closes her eyes. Breathing deep, wind starts to blow. The bag is picked up and blows over to the two girls. "There we go." She smiles, "I can make air move and stuff even inside."

Jubilation Lee has posed:
Jubilation's smile fades a little when she hears that Patty doesn't have power over bags, after all. Like a magic trick, the truth is sometimes worse than the illusion. She doesn't say anything, though, and instead just watches the bag rise and float towards them as the wind picks up a little. "Huh..." Jubilation begins quietly, feeling the wind against her skin. "...You gotta talk to Storm, I'm thinking..." She gestures to the gardens that surround them. "You're in the right place for that, too. She loves hanging out here."

"So, how are you settling in?" Jubilee wonders, both eyebrows hiked up a little. "Everything going okay? Your dorm okay?" She takes a single step out of the shadow, revealing that her eyes are again covered by her Ray Bans. Her tone suggests that she has a personal interest in Patty's answer for some reason.

Patty Sloan has posed:
"Having control over bags would be a really interesting power. It would make carrying groceries in, in one trip a lot more fun. That's for certain." Patty snickers a little and considers that. "I dunno if my air powers would help with that too much. I mean I could probably lift some grocery bags filled with stuff and move them about. It would be a little awkward to say the least."

Then there is talk of Storm and how she should meet her. "Storm? I'm guessing thats a codename. If her powers are like her name, I totally want to meet her. I know I'm definitely not strong enough to merit a name as forceful as Hers but I think my little codename that I made up works just fine!"

She then listens to the questions that Jubilee asks. "I am settling in just fine. Kinda made friends with Julio. We went to a diner last night and kinda encountered this crazy creature with way too much power." She shudders over the whole thing. "Everything is going well. I am learning and finding out who I want to be as opposed to who I don't want to be. If that makes sense." She snickers and smiles, "Oh my dorm is fine. Its nice. I still need to go get my car and my clothes though. I've been rotating two sets of school clothes for the past week. Lots of laundry."

Jubilation Lee has posed:
Jubilee waves her hand in the air. "Eh, don't worry about it!" she insists. "We'll figure out something cool to do with it. Who knows, you might one day figure it out by accident. I used to think mine were just pretty colors but..." Jubilation hesitates a beat and finds her smile again. "...Well, I was wrong about that." She hops off the marble bird feeder she's sitting on and makes a motion towards the path that leads to the garden's entrance.

"Well, if you need anything, you let me know, okay?" Jubilation says, giving the other girl a couple of enthusiastic nods. As Jubilee steps past Patty, she wiggles her fingers ominously. "I feel really bad about assigning you the room where all those murders happened last year... But, I think you can handle it. It's barely haunted at all, anymore..." She grins at Patty as she steps past, giving an accidental glimpse at her teeth. A couple of them are really, really pointy.

"I gotta head in. I've got a thing I gotta get to," Jubilee explains, gesturing in the direction of the mansion. Before leaving entirely, Jubes hesitates and looks over her shoulder at Patty again. "Hey, Patty," she adds. "...Don't spend all your time here just studying and practicing your powers. If you do, you might not learn anything!" Another grin and then... she's gone. It might be a trick of the light but Jubilation seems to get swallowed up by the shadows, almost as though she was never here.
