Spring is springing
Date of Scene: 17 March 2024
Location: Palace - Asgard
Synopsis: In the gardens of Asgard.
Cast of Characters: Frigga, Mary Jane Watson, Thor

Frigga has posed:
The coming of spring is something a little special in Asgard. Truthfully, its the changing of the seasons that holds import, rather than individual days. The buds are starting to appear, the promise of 'rebirth' as the shoots begin to show from under the ground.

The warmer weather is something to be enjoyed, absolutely. The Queen of Asgard, then, spends a great deal more time outside, in conversation with the plants, encouraging the growth and discouraging the weeds that also seek to find a place in the beds. As always, there is a maid with her, setting a small repast upon one of the garden tables.

Frigga wipes her hands from the hint of dirt that is and now 'was' upon them, a smile and a nod of thanks for the refreshment.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
She's not exactly got a green thumb. Sonja's knowledge of plant care is more for the ground that feeds upon blood, and those things which rise up and try to tear out her heart. It's something that she's coming to appreciate working with the All-Mother.

"This goes a bit outside my life experience. I killed a couple of plastic plants once." Something she's not proud of.

Thor has posed:
Thor could be well placed into the 'horribly unaware' category. It shows, fairly often, with his wrecking-ball tendency when he's not thinking about it. Such as today, when he lands with a heavy streak of light, and a thud, into one side of the lawn. Burned by the impact, tremors flux outwards from the spot. It isn't like he landed in a rose garden, and nor was it intentional. Just the prince being his bombastic self, with other things in the front of his mind!

"Mother, I---" Thor begins, pleasant, upbeat, as he stands and turns partially, taking in Sonja's presence. He pauses then, to cast a warm smile in her direction as well, and a nod. He takes in that he's interrupting. Though Frigga may well note that Thor is not wearing his head bandage anymore. There's bruising there, and a cut in the eyebrow as well as some red to his eye, but the healing Frigga offered has taken well in Thor's eye regeneration.

"Ah! Hello."

Frigga has posed:
"That is a great accomplishment," Frigga offers with no little humor, her smile reaching blue eyes. "It is a feat that I have not yet been able to do myself. You should be proud." The All Mother is in a good mood, apparently.

The blast of rainbow-light that heralds an arrial gains a tight-lipped exhale with a soft utterance, "Heimdall..." and she shakes her head. Of course Thor isn't to blame!

When she sees that it's Thor, the smile returns brighter, and she begins a cross, her hands outstretchend for a quick grasp, and a kiss upon the cheek. "Thor," she begins. "You're looking .." She pauses before she restarts, "exactly how I'd hoped you would."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would twitch her lips upwards, "Yes, All-Mother. It's not something I'm proud of, but shows you my capabilities." That and having a friend that came in through the windows often wtih little heads up meant that she was proneto surprise or things being knocked off the wall and onto the ground. She woudl bow her head over to Thor.

"Greetings, Odinson. I hope that you're well. Your mother's trying to instruct me on a green thumb." She would quip. "I think I'm more prone to plucking my fingers on thorns however." She would bow her head over to him in respect. "I hope that your adventures have covered you in glory."

Thor has posed:
"Ah! Fortunate you are, to have such instruction," Thor enthuses, clasping his mother in a strong return hug. He respects her entirely, and the embrace is exactly as how he can do so without overpowering, even in a social way. He's open and happy to see her, as well as her swordmaiden. "And to offer such companionship to my mother."

Thor watches, then, as Sonja bows at him repeatedly, with a little tilt to his head and smile. He doesn't mind, all of that is successful with the Odinson. "Should you wish to have green thumbs, I am sure you can accomplish it with enough practice," he encourages, then, as she fears about thorns.

"Glory? I have had a time of rest and recovery, as the glory was... rather thick lately. Though I have my mind set on a monster of Midgard, which shall meet justice soon enough."

Frigga has posed:
Frigga twists around after greeting her son, though she doesn't let him go. Mother and son. "Have you yet learned the lessons from it yet?"

Finally, she lets go, but remains by his side as he begins speaking again, her expression turning a touch solemn. Frigga always worries for her children, for her husband.. but the support is unfaltering. "Take due care, Thor. You are still healing."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would nod over at THor, "I'm glad that you're doing well Odinson." This time there's not so much etraneous bowing! "I'm glad that you're doing well. And I wish you luck in your hunt of the monster." What Thor refers to as a monster on Midgard makes her rather wary and hopes that it's not something she has to deal with.

She picks up the shift of Frigga's expression and looks over at her with light curiousity.

Thor has posed:
Thor manages not to look disgruntled about the lesson question. "Time will tell, I think," Thor decides, then, with a thoughtful pause. Those sudden, unexpected surges of wisdom do come - often without warning - and there is one here. That Thor hasn't had enough time to reflect on the lesson to know, yet. Perhaps that does mean it is sinking in, in that he is aware he doesn't have the answer easily.

"Luck will not be necessary; good allies will turn the tide," Thor answers of the monster topic. "It should not take my full power, but I cannot say I would hold back if it were to save lives.... it is worth it to still go, even if not fully healed."

Frigga has posed:
"Well," Frigga begins slowly, "then I shall await word of your victory." She's resigned; her son shall do as he will. True, however, that they'd taught him the lesson of doing just that.

"Until then, join us? I'm beginning to plan what to add from Midgard. There are many new varieties that I wish to cultivate."
