Synopsis:	M'gann tells J'onn about her and Jon dating.

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
It's been a few days since her last date with Jon, the cafe and movie, the sundaes. And M'gann has realized that she's yet to really tell her uncle that she's been dating, and how it's been going. As one of the biggest steps in human socialization she could take at this stage, it would be crucial to get his thoughts and advice on it. He's had much longer to analyze their interactions after all. And, well.. the who is going to be a bit of a thing, too! And likely needs a bit of discussion.

With that all said, she invites her uncle over to the apartment for tea! She makes sure there are plenty of oreos on hand (because her uncle loves them), as well as some more traditional baked goods. And she uses a new tea blend that she picked up from a farmer's market some weeks ago. A spicy chai blend that will pair well with coconut milk and can be blended to make a forthy concoction that's both sweet and kicky!

Keeping her human guise on as she bustles about, waiting for her uncle's arrival, Megan has some swing style music playing, modern bands doing their takes on older swing and big band classics.

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn J'onzz shows up in human guise, both as a statement of their need to fit in, and as a way to keep up the link and the illusion of the link between them. He has learned from ancient and patient experience that humans notice things; if she says she has an uncle, an uncle better show up and play the part through the front door just like a perfectly Normal Human. He knocks on the door himself and waits for her to answer, curious what her news might be.

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
Opening the door, Megan smiles up at her uncle and steps back to motion him in, "Hello, Uncle J'onn. I'm so glad you could make it. I think you'll really like this tea, and I got your favorite cookies." Once he's through the door, she'll close it behind him and lead him towards the dining area. Being a good hostess, she brings out the baked goods (and oreos), then the tea tray. Making sure they're both settled at the table and tea is being poured before she brings up anything important.

"I know you must be curious why I asked you over like this. It's certainly more formal than our usual meetings. But I have something to confess, and to ask for advice on..." Megan watches her uncle carefully, still smiling of course, and passing over his cup of tea.

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn J'onzz smiles, "I always have time for tea with my favorite neice." He hugs her tightly and sits downf or tea, curious what she has to say and listens as she does. "There is nothing you can ask dear that I am hesitant to give advice on. By all means, speak." He gestures with his hand warmly and leans forward, curious about her life in general and its next turn.

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
Laughing lightly, she smiles at him, "I'm your only niece, uncle. But, point taken." Megan adds the coconut milk to her tea, stirring it lightly before beginning. "Well, uncle.. you see.. I've.. started dating. Or rather, I started dating a few months ago. I had a few random dates that didn't really work out that well. But then I met someone that, that I really clicked with. He thinks all my little foibles and anachronisms are cute, and he treats me very respectfully and sweetly. We've been dating for the last few months, and it's been going very well. And.. well.. you.. already sort of know him."

Megan glances up with a faint blush and a small smile, "Jonathan Kent. He prefers 'Jon' though.. not unlike you, uncle."

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn J'onzz takes in a large amount of breath. He blinks a few times but finally smiles, "If you make each other happy, then of course you have my blessing. But, of course, there are complications both of your identities bring. If you both discuss it; and you dont have to until you are serious, you dont need to. But I'm also assuming that if you're telling me it IS serious, and as such, you need to understand what both of your legacies bring; the advantages and disadvantages that come with it.

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
"To be quite honest.. until recently, we hadn't.. realized. Who each other truly was. We hadn't exchanged surnames immediately and it didn't come up until recently. And because I was actively trying not to read his mind, I didn't even think to see if he was, well, different. But it came out and well, we're both still quite happy together. In fact, it made it that much simpler, as we no longer have to obfuscate or demur when something comes up that we wouldn't normally be able to speak about to a significant other." Megan stumbles through all that witht he blush still on her cheeks before pausing and giving a nod to him. "I think it is serious, yes. He and I have come to care for one another. And we both want very much to continue the relationship."

Clearing her throat, she lifts her tea to sip on, then gives a small nod. "I think we're both very much aware of that, uncle, yes. But.. I like him very much. I care about him, uncle." Megan lifts a small shrug and smiles softly, "He makes me happy."

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn J'onzz sips his tea considering, and then nods, "That's the best of all possible worlds M'gann. It means you truly care for each other and you are wise not to go poking in the mind of those with whom you hpoe to have a serious or good working relationship. Kryptonians are as powerful in their brain as they are in body; most forget that. Jon is a unique case but everything I've seen about him indicates that he is going to be everything his father believes him to be. And since you didnt know, there is no worry about hero worship or the convenience of dating someone who is your peer. It is also advantageous because you can't accidently hurt each other, and can protect each other from the many random enemies btoh you and he collect."

"He sips tea, "But understand this....we have enemies because of who we are; some inherited from me and people I have battled over the decades; White Martians, and others who have some ancient stupid grudge. That is a pale shadow compared to the most beloved and popular protector of humanity on the planet. You have felt you have a lot to live up to me, with my legacy. Jon has it worse. You will need to be there for him in ways he doesnt even likely realize he needs if you are tot ake this seriously. Are you prepared to do that?" He sips tea, but his eyes are curious.

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
Megan listens to him, watching him. Sipping her tea, but also paying close attention to what he's saying. And to what he's not saying. She smiles at one point and murmurs, "In hindsight, I think we both kicked ourselves a little for not realizing it sooner, but we were both so.. invested.. in keeping up the guise of being just normal college students that we didn't really *look*." Shaking her head lightly, she chuckles, "Oh no, the convenience of dating another hero was never part of the equation. We found we had many similar interests. In activities, in movies and music, in food. Even in school." Glancing into her cup, she smiles again, thinking of the dates they've had, the Facetime chats when they couldn't get away for dates.

Clearing her throat, she looks back to her uncle and gives a solemn nod, "Not to mention the ones that I've started to acquire from my own efforts to live up to that legacy. I understand, uncle. And I know that you've done everything you can to make sure that I am ready to take my place among the heroes of the world." The mention that she'll have to be ready to help Jon has her giving another nod, smiling softly, "I am. I know that he's felt pressure to live up to his family legacy, and that it can be stressful for him at times. But I am in full support of his decisions. He has a good head and a good heart."

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn J'onzz says, "I have never seen any Kent make a bad decision. Not one. I'm sure, someday, there will be a bad seed in that lineage, but I dont expect it any time soon. The original human Kents were moral and upright. And it will be passed down, the real legacy of that symbol of hope...at least in my opinion. You dont need my blessing Neice," he smiles as he sips tea, "But for what its worth you certainly have it. I will say this....be kind to each other above all. We are a small community; especially among the league, and if things DON'T work out you will be running into each other....for a long time."

M'gann M'orzz has posed:
"I am sure they experience the same doubts and worries that we do, uncle. But you are correct that his family is full of good people with good heads on their shoulders. I can definitely appreciate where he gets it from." Megan smiles as they move on to something a little lighter, at least for a moment. "And I will be there to help support him when the symbol weighs heavy. I care for him too much to not." Supping from her tea, she offers a warm smile, "I may not need it, uncle, but I *want* it. And I'm glad that you approve." The last bit has her blushing before shaking her head, "I don't believe that will be an issue, uncle. Even were things to go sour and end, he and I have too much respect for each other to devolve into namecalling and poor treatment."

J'onn J'onzz has posed:
J'onn J'onzz smiles and nods sipping his tea, "Well, that is the least I can do Niece," he stands and crosses the space between them to hug her. At the end of the day, it isnt his choice and he'll support her own, but quietly, he thinks she made a good choice.
