Talia al Ghul has posed:
She had been curious. When Selina had wanted to meet her and talk about something. Away from the Manor, even. Talia didn't get out nearly as much as she should. Not with personal affairs, and not with.. Nettie's moving on to another plane of existence that had left one of her few outside links severed. And there was a separate sort of emptiness in her, a fuzziness of something she knew should have been there but was gone, and smoothed over along with the awareness that something was fuzzy that was troubling her.
    So she would show up over to the meeting, wearing a baseball hat, and some jeans and a sweater walking in, looking like someone that bought things from a thrift store.

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle walks into the place shortly after Talia has settled. She chose 'Batburger' because it amused her, and of course it was a bond she shared with Talia. The Bats, that is. Walking into the place, Selina is dressed all in leather. Long boots, miniskirt, designer jacket. Her heels click on the tile floor with every step, and she sits down at Talia's table with a flourish. "Thanks for coming." she offers, crossing one leg over the other.

Talia al Ghul has posed:
It was a bond, a private joke between the two. Two exes of a sort. Talia looks like someone who came from a dime store, Selina all dressed up to almost the nines. "Hello there. Do consider me curious." It wasn't often that Selina asked her for advise on something.

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle looks over Talia's outfit without judgement. She knows the other woman has the means and resources to dress however she wants. And there is value in anonymity. "I'm curious myself, actually." she replies. Taking a moment to compose her thoughts, Selina starts. "I came across a new Cape a few nights ago, and I was hoping you might know something about her." Selina watches Talia's expression as she continues. "Purple and black, pretty similar to Huntress right down to the crossbow. But her fighting style is what has me curious." Here she pauses again.

Yes, she knows that Talia has a lot of experience fighting as well. After all, she grew up with the League of Assassins. "Smoothe, graceful, controlled. Non-lethal. Liberal use of pressure points and holds. And she fought with a blend of multiple martial arts styles."

Talia al Ghul has posed:
Talia al Ghul would nod over at Selina nad quirk her eye, "Of course. There are quite a few of them around. There's quite an inspiring presence of them when it comes to new ones." New cape in Gotham was hardly news. So what made them so interesting to Selina to have asked such a thing. "Has she taken on a protege perhaps?" Selina goes to listen over and then.. Frowns.

Non-lethal? Mix of many styles? Crossbow. "Unusual. Somewhat more thorough than inspired by." Bruce wouldn't have had a new trainee for the several years it took to fully approve of them going in for field operations that no one else knew about. There were very fast and messy ways to train someone up to that degree, but none of them would remotely inspire someone to do purely non-lethal and restricted combat.

"Have you considered asking one of his adoptees?" Nightwing was old enough and independent neough after all to have taken on a pupil. Stephanie would know if so.

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle nods slowly, shifting to lean forward a bit. "Right. Blunt crossbow bolts, even. I mean, she was good enough, but still." Selina purses her lips a little, checking her manicure and not looking up when she speaks next.

"We fought some of the local wildlife in Chinatown. Or, rather, I was fighting them and she jumped in..." She shakes her head slowly, then.

"This girl was no protege, at least not one of Huntress or Nightwing." she offers. In a lower voice, Selina adds. "Talia, she moved and fought like Him."

Talia al Ghul has posed:
Talia al Ghul would frown and tap at her chin. She closes her eyes and focuses a breath, taking it in and out. "There are ways. Magic, flash training.. But those tend to not work very solidly unless someone very good does them. And both take a long time to produce effective results." she had seen her father do so plenty of times after all. And replicated skills, like Taskmaster or Prometheus used, did not result in such smooth styles and mix and matching.

Bruce couldn't have taught someone for so long on the side. He could't have.

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle nods slowly at that. "I know what I saw." she replies. And yes, they've both fought Bruce on occasion, so Talia would know. "I know that she isn't from the League, but I was hoping you might have heard something." Yes, complete as Selina's connections may be, Talia's own circle takes in a different group of people. Often very unpleasant people.

"Something else, too. She was young. I doubt she's old enough to legally drink." Selina doesn't mention the acrobatics and the grace, however. She might have picked that up from Nightwing, but not Bruce. "But in any case, I'll be watching for her and I'd appreciate it if you could as well. She's fast and she's skittish."

Talia al Ghul has posed:
Talia al Ghul would shake her head over then and tap at her chin. "I'll keep an eye out." A look of confusion on her face as well. And definitely not the slightest idea. If this was anotehr game of her father's, then there's no remote way she would be operating that way. Too clean, too smooth. Too obvious.

"I'll let you know. Are you going to talk to the others about this?" As in other members of the Bat-Family or Birds?"

Selina Kyle has posed:
Selina Kyle shakes her head slowly. "I reported the contact, but not my concerns. For the moment, this remains between us. If you cross paths, I'd like to talk again. And I'll be sure to do the same."

Finishing the conversation she came for, Selina turns her attention briefly to the menu. "So do you think the burgers here are really made with bats?"

Talia al Ghul has posed:
Those were emotions she could understand, and could live with. "Of course. I'll keep my eyes out and let you know if I see anything." HEr tone of voice indicative that she didn't think she would, but that she would try. "I"ll be seeing you then. Take care."
