Cast of Characters: Candace Hill, Henry McCoy, Hank Pym

Candace Hill has posed:
Its been a lengthy day. Candace has been watching TV and soaking up some sun that happened to be coming through a window. Such an action would be picked up by the wrist monitor as she is getting a whole lot more energy in her body. In fact her eyes are practically glowing from the amount of energy she is taking in from the sun. She changes the channel on the Tv and finds some old cartoons. "Huh! This works!" She then goes to the kitchenette and finds herself something to drink.

Henry McCoy has posed:
It wasn't every day that Doctor Hank McCoy got invited to consult by Doctor Hank Pym but Hank was more than willing to help his Avengers team-mate and professional colleague out in a bind. He spent the drive over to Dr Pym's lab reviewing the case-notes and he believed he might have been able to assist. In deference to the solemnity of the occasion he actually dressed more fully, A lurid and obnoxious Hawaiian shirt and board shorts counted as dressed for him. Plus the omnipresent lab coat crammed with this-and-that. He knocked at the door to the iso-apartment, straightening the glasses on his face and trying his best to look relatively harmless.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym comes out of his room and tosses some clothes to Candace. "Here, I fiddled with some Pym particles to resize these. It might have been faster to go to a tailor. Oh... that must be Young Hank... I'm Hank the Elder by the way!" Pym heads to the door and opens it for his blue and technicolor friend. "Young Hank, how good to see you. You were one of the few people I missed living among the ants this last year. Now, don't crowd the man. Sorry. I told them a few stories about you and the Avengers. They'll just brush you with their antennas. It's a sign of friendship." Several ants crowd Dr. McCoy.

Candace Hill has posed:
Candace smiles and takes the clothes, "I umm... Pym Particles?" She asks curiously. "Okay young hank and old hank. Got it." She quickly goes and changes into the clothes that actually will fit. Then she comes out and sees the other doctor for the first time. "Errr... You're very blue..." She trails off. "Sorry. A pleasure to meet you Dr. McCoy." She smiles and looks at the ants curiously. She doesn't mess with them. She's been around them much of the day. "What do you need me to do?" She asks as she prepares herself.

Henry McCoy has posed:
"Greetings, young lady. I am Hank McCoy, and this occasionally-oversized galoot is Hank Pym. He's asked me to consult on your case." He was very careful to not threaten or intimidate the young lady, as blue-furred simian-looking fells with claws tended to do. "How are you feeling?" he asked.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym says, "Yes I introduced myself to her already. I prefer Hank the Elder to Old Hank by the way. I put a fit bit on her, Henry. You can check for yourself. You have more experience with powers manifesting than I do apart from upgrading that egotist fashionista. In any case I have accessed the Avengers' Dee Bee. She was exposed to Terrigen mist. I have some actual videos via microscope of the helicase enzymes accessing so called interons in her genes. I doubt she'll mutate further... but her wrist sensor is recording a build up of energy. She seems to be a lithium battery, with a chance of exploding. I do have a balcony she can discharge from... or maybe we can create a regulator..."

Candace Hill has posed:
Candace raises her arm to show the fitbit. She looks for the balcony, "I think I need to use the balcony." She goes out and her eyes flash before a burst of energy is released. This time its definitely solar energy as for a brief moment the area is lit up bright. She turns to come back in but walking is a little difficult for some reason. "Ummm... Hanks! I think I've got another problem..."

The girl is still outside and hovering over the balcony. She blinks a few times. "Ummm how do I get down?" She asks bluntly as she tries to swim her way back inside.

Henry McCoy has posed:
"Oh my stars and garters" Hank said and then exploded into action. One leap took him clear across the room to the balcony and another - this one straight up, brought him to eye-level with Candace. "Be not afraid." he told her, then reached out to put his hand on her shoulder and let his body weight and Sir Isaac Newton handle the rest. Or, at least, that was the plan.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym had intended on grabbing Candace. His reaction time could not compare the the blue furred PhD. He has grown to 3 meters in height in the time is takes Young Hank to enact his rescue plan. He'd really not want to deal with the X-Men, given what little he's seen of there skill. Still he follows, feeling absolutely bovine by comparison. "Do you have the girl, Henry?" He can jump pretty high.

Henry McCoy has posed:
"I do. However, upward thrust is apparently enough to carry her bodyweight and mine. So if you'd lend a hand here..." he said, coloring slightly under his fur. To Candance, he tried to smile reassuringly. A very fangy reassuring smile. "We'll have us both down in a thirce." he told her.

Candace Hill has posed:
Candace slowly comes down with the help of Dr. McCoy. Once on the ground she exclaims, "Oh thank god! That was scary. She sighs, "Well I guess thats another ability. Apparently I can fly." She walks back inside. "Here. Less likely to fly away inside right?" She comments before lifting off again. "Okay I did that on my own. Lets see if I can undo it." She focuses and her body slowly comes back down.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym reaches a hand out. The balcony was his frequent launch pad back in the day. It was heavily reinforced, He keeps a couple of fingers on Candace's shoulder just in case. "Interesting. Do you think she uses unconscious manipulation of gravitons, or utilizing greasy solar photons coupled to psions for propulsion?" He taps his chin cautiously releasing Candace once inside.

Henry McCoy has posed:
"At first blush, I'd say it's a photonic kinetic push. Simple, if a touch crude. I'd need to look at those metabolic pathways to make a firmer diagnosis." he told his (now much larger) colleague. "Comparisons that come to mind are to Bishop, who is a broad-spectrum energy absorber and redirecter, but it's pointless - but fun! - to speculate before we have more data. And since Miss Hill is an energy absorber, we may need to recalibrate our sensory equipment to compensate." he pointed out. "Unless you've already done that and I didn't get the memo?"

Candace Hill has posed:
Candace floats around a little more, getting a feel for moving through the air and then landing. "Okay this is working. I think I am getting it." She smiles a little as she hovers for a few moments. Gliding down she touches the ground and smiles. "This is gonna be fun!" She exclaims as her eyes flash. a small burst of energy erupts out from her. No damage. Its a really small amount of energy released. Enough to shake some things but not really do damage.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym nods. To candace he continues, "You may have some similarities to Kryptonians... absorbing and chanelling solar radiation, Candace." He turns back to Beast. "Most og my systems are passive imaging. I don't like shooting radiation through people. That's how you get supervillains! But this would explain a few anomalies in the gamma imager and MRI. Oh look, she gets the glowing eyes like your friend Cyclops. I wonder if her efficiency of absorption varies with the wavelength of the energy or otherwise. I'd like to see a file on Bishop, if he consents of course. It is amazing how quickly some people master powers. I never got the hang the so called Wasp Sting. Janet did. I kept blowing a fingernail off here and there. So I used mechanical aids. Of course I excelled at manipulating Pym Particles. Oh pardon my bad manners, towering over you." He shrinks back to his normal size.

"I am sorry for talking over you, Candace. However you are a scientist's dream right now."

Henry McCoy has posed:
"Far be it from me, Doctor Pym, to suggest that Mrs Pym is a clever and determined young lady?" he said teasingly to his colleague. He and Jan usually got along like a house afire. "I shall make some inquiries about setting up some secured data sharing so that we might come to the bottom of this most intrguing young lady's new gifts. Have you contacted Black Bolt? If she got her powers from Mist exposure it may stand to reason that she's related to one of his subjects." he mused out loud. "But look at us, speculating like the mad scientists we are when there's a young lady with new powers to be seen to. How do you feel, Miss Hill? Hungry? Tired?" he asked.

Candace Hill has posed:
Candace smiles, "Honestly I feel like I am overflowing with energy. Like I am full to capacity and ready to unleash this stuff. I've no idea why. I feel like I could fly from here to Philly for Philly Cheese Steaks and come back without a single hiccup. This is just really wild." She smiles. "Its okay, I'm consenting to be tested on. This is all really new to me and I am excited you know?" She smiles. "I could go for ice cream. Dunno about you all but ice cream sounds really good right now."

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym says hurriedly, "Don't say ice cream! Oh nuts." The ants qucikly surround him, mandibles working. "Okay, kids. We'll bring some home. You have to let me leave! Let's go Henry, Candace. they're all worked up now. We better get moving before we have a re-enactment of Them!"
