- Sharon Smith has posed:
PSA: I promise that the villian in this scene is not based on any real person, living or dead. It's just something funny I came up with while cooking eggs. Thinking that it is akin to any radio or internet personality is pure conjecture. Unless of coarse there's an actual space leech, in which case it's pure coincidence.
- Sharon Smith has posed:
Catseye stood just outside the door to the home studio. She flattened out the hips of her official, blue X-Men suit. It was a spectacular piece of tailoring. It fit her perfectly with the big, yellow X proud on display for everyone to see, but the lovely suit would not last very long in this scene. It would have been trembling on her frame if it knew how close its demise would be.
Sharon looked up at the glowing red light with the large black letters "ON AIR" posted over the door. Her blue-eyed gaze then dropped down to Shazaam, and over to Marie, giving each of them a silent nod that signified 'lets go,' at least... that's what it was supposed to mean. They never did go over silent nods or hand gestures. Oh well... throwing open the door was a good enough indication that it was time to rush inside and kick some butt!
A deep voice growled loudly in the dimly lit studio. His face was so close to the microphone, one might mistake the fuzzy cover for a beard "We have to KILL THEM ALL. MURDER. TEAR THEIR THROATS OUT." He pounded big, fat hands against his desk. "The President, Congress, the Pizza guy, all of 'em Mutants! Mutant scum! Grab your knives, grab your guns, take your babies and use them as a club! Right now. Get out of your chairs. Get out of your house. Let's Kill 'em all Right now!" Sweat dribbled down his balding head as he wheezed for air. With the time it took to snap his fingers, his demeanor would suddenly change "And that's all the time we have for the show today. See you all next week. Remember to hit that subscribe button," he cheerily remarked. "Oh and I'd like to wish our super subscriber Ted a happy birthday. Happy birthday Ted!"
The influencer's eyes scanned the whizzing chat box on his blinking CRT monitor. "Behind me?" he parroted. "Look we don't have time for games, gotta wrap this show up. I-..." He finally turned to see Sharon standing in the open door.
"Yep. That's him. That's the one!" Sharon pointed and bounced.
The man shrieked an ungodly alien shriek. His skin melted away to reveal the trollish creature he actually was... and then it continued melting to reveal the giant leech he actually was. A massive, fat space leech with stubby little arms and lots of teeth! The stubby arms batted furiously at the keyboard to try and end his live stream, but the creature quickly gave up and lunged off of his chair and toward the door towards the threat.
- Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson is a little startled by the change. As Billy he had engaged in several call in battle with Archie Leech. You'd think he'd be up on weird names creatures and villains used, and suspect something. Not to resist the opportunity, Shazam lunges for the control console, stabbing at controls to keep the show rolling. Live! And if Eugene forgot to record this, the younger brother would be cure to regret it. Billy'd tell Rosa.
"No you don't! Hey, you! Give me that camera or keep rolling!" Shazam says, lightning sparking from his eyes. The man complies for now.
- Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
It's a good thing for Marie that she has forewarnings about this sort of thing. Which is why she's not dressed in her normal attire, or even her own X-Men uniform... which she most definitely has now. Instead, she's wrapped up in a hooded cloak, two escrima style sticks in her hands.
It was time to put some of the Black Panther's training to use, since the man.... thing... is clearly a threat to her -- and Sharon's -- wellbeings. It has a ton of teeth, so the redhead opts to aim low. Going into a forward roll and swinging one of the sticks at ... well, where the leech's shins would be if it actually had shins! "Be careful, Catseye!" she tells her friend. Shazam she knows that she doesn't have to worry about nearly as much, for multiple reasons!
- Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith roared to match the scream. Her frame grew to enormus proportions as she morphed into some wild monstrosity of a bipedal werecat. The freshly minted X suit split apart in agony. It was designed to fit one particular shape of Sharon. While it tried its best to keep clinging to her growing physique, the added muscles and fur proved too much for it. Instead, it exploded in an uneven mess of blue and yellow ribbons to decorate the house studio's boring white carpet.
"I'm gonna eat you up and spit you out and eat what's left!" Sharon decreed nonsensically. She wasn't particularly good at cool super-hero phrases yet. The mutant made up for her bad talk with solid action, jumping on the giant body of the slug to claw and bite at it mercilessly.
"Youuuuuu!" the creature squealed. It knew them? Maybe it was just some strange sound it made when threatened. It was really difficult to imagine how any normal words would come out of that round, tooth lined mouth it had. It was also a difficult thing to wrestle or hit with batons. The leech was slimey and fat. The tail of it rippled from the impacts of Marie's barage of baton hits. The impacts also made a funny noise, something akin to a wet 'bloop,' which changed pitch depending on how far up the tail her batons would hit. Blueman group would have a hayday if that got ahold of this type of creature.
- Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson just watches the camera man, one eye on the feed. "Try Shaw Studios for a new job tomorrow. See Billy Batson. Hey uh girls... ladies. I think you got him. An uninvited shapeshifter. SHIELD and the Justice League will want to see this... girls... ladies... X-Women... oh merciful Zeus, cut the dame camera. Give me that." Shazam starts shutting down the recording. It seemed to be on a delay. Thank the gods!
Shazam walks over to the Mutant Steel Cage Death Match and puts a hand on Tarot's shoulder. "I think he had eno... ack! Hey! Cut it out!" The creature, mad with pain lunges at Shazam to bite his arm. Several teeth break off.
"Now you cut that out right now!" Further exclamations are cut short by the camera man to bring a 32 pound sledge down on Shazam's head. "You messed up my hair you jerk! No Imma take it now. You can't have it back!"
- Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Marie is less sure that he has, indeed, had enough... but the reality of the matter was that her attacks didn't seem to be doing much to the creature. So scurrying she goes over to a nearby corner in order to grab for a tarot card from the pouch at her waist, and moments later ten pentacle-emblazoned discs materialize out of the air and start flying around the leech.... almost looking like fighter jets trying to take down Godzilla while he's also being attacked by King Kong (Or Queen Catseye in this case).
"Hostilities have not ceased, Shazam! If we stop now, he may attempt-- oui, that!" Attempt to devour us, was what Marie was about to say.
"If you could restrain this beast in some manner, that would certainly be helpful!" In a relatively small, in-house studio, there's only so much that Marie can do against a foe like this, afterall.
- Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith growled and shook her head, tugging the fatty creature back and forth like a dog playing with it's favorite squeaky toy. It was a squealy toy in this case. The creatures wails were uncomfortably loud, but in fairness to the leech, there was a werecat trying to make its insides into outsides. Green ooze flew from each one of her clawed openings, and dribbled down her chin as her teeth kept a good grip on the nape of its... neck? The blob of a creature had very few anatomical features aside from stubby arms and pointy teeth.
If the ooze wasn't gross enough, Shazam had the unlucky misfortune of finding himself elbow deep in the thing's ugly mouth, teeth grinding against him and snapping under the pressure. It was an unspoke fact that all space creatures bled green ooze, and they all had bad breath.
The chat box on his computer monitor was abuzz with rolling comments: "Is he really a slug?"
"Fake"
"Bad CGI"
"Is there a show next week?"
"LOL Hammer time!"
"Eww!"
"Magic? Lame!"
" Unsubscribed."
":eggplant emogi:"
The comments rolled on and on and were scrolling far too fast to read.
- Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson yanks his arm out of the thing's mouth, teeth scattering in the air. The teeth are immediately replaced by new teeth.
"Ew! Hey, don't try it!" The Leech decides Catseye is more digestible than Shazam and lunged at the werecat. Shazam Throws a headlock on it, but the slime and malleable nature of his opponent lets him squeeze free. More slime scatters. A pentacle >SPANG>s off Shazam's head and he sighs. So glad Divine isn't seeing this. Or Mary. Especially Mary. "You know, I think there's magic in those items you create because that just stung a little!
- Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
"I'm sorry!" Marie responds to Billy, feeling terrible about the hit -- even if it just stung a little. Assaulting her teammates, as it were, was not her intention at all. To try and prevent further incidents, she grows quiet and still, just holding the card and focusing her full attention on controlling the flying discs as they attempt to continue distracting the alien menace. Anything she can do to try and give Catseye and Shazam an advantage when it comes to actually brawling (biting?) with the creature and /not/ end up hurting them in the process.
- Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith didn't say anything about the flying discs, but she had her mouth full a the time. It wasn't a very exciting fight from Catseye's end. It looked like one of those national geographic clips where a lion holds a prey in its mouth and waits for it to stop wiggling. The only difference was this thing jiggled when it wiggled, and the blood was some sticky, smelly green substance instead of most earth creature's typical red.
The creature would finally begin to slow down. Somewhere beetween having it's butt drummed by Marie's sticks, being chewed on and clawed at, and magic flying discs all seemed to be taking their toll. The squeels slowly subsided, and the creature eventually melted against the floor and panted. Sharon gave one more testing gnaw at the thing's flesh before sitting up and slipping into a more humanoid form with less fur, not so pointy ears and bright, purple hair.
"Ok I'm bored," she stated. "I'm kind of in the mood for shrimp now. Shrimp tacos?" she offered.
- Billy Batson has posed:
Billy Batson lets the squamous lumoxx go. He turns to Marie and says, "My fault entirely. I grabbed it while you were conducting your aerial attack. So... let's not tell Thunderbolt. I'll see about calling SHIELD." He runs his fingers through his hair, which falls back into place. The slime likewise rolls off him, leaving him clean. He shakes his cape out.
"Tacos... no thanks. I have no appetite after this guy. You guys get out of here and I'll stay for the authorities."
- Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Calling SHIELD does sound like the most logical thing to do when it comes to a defeated alien... but having SHIELD show up when two mutants were there, given the situation with the sentinels? Well, that was a different story entirely. So when Billy suggests that the two of them vamoose, Marie nods.
"Oui, that sounds like a good idea. Catseye, let us go find the most delicious shrimp tacos in the entire city!" ...because honestly, helping Sharon follow her stomach is probably one of the most sure ways of actually determining her actions.
...not that one could ever truly conrol a cat's behaviour. But one could try.
- Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith licked some of the green slime from her wrist. It was normal for a cat to lick themselves clean, but it was still odd to see a human do it. "It makes me want shrimp," she repeated after the the taste test. "I don't really want to eat him. We beat him up. That is good enough." she decided, climbing off of the wheezing leech to walk toward the door.
Catseye paused and looked down at her formerly nice X suit laying in ribbons on the floor. "You ruined my suit" she complained, kicking the slug in the side. Technically Sharon ruined her own suit by shifting forms, but the creature was in no state to argue for itself. It wheeze at her instead.
"Let's get tacos," she insisted. "Tacos will make everything better." That isn't how tacos work, but it would be hard to make that point to Sharon. She had her mind made up.
Catseye linked arms with Marie to walk with her out the door. It would have been a more heartwarming gesture if she wasn't covered head to toe in green alien slime!
