Joan Wright has posed:
There's just something about the weekends that make people want to get out of their houses and enjoy the outdoors just long enough to go into another building. As for what that building could be? For some, it is the Lost Pond Mall. And right now, business is good. Or at least foot traffic.

Several senior citizens are powerwalking through the corridors, the sounds of their steps drowned out by the slapping of water on the pools below.

And even wealthy malls have a toy store it appears. Down one corridor, a brightly decorated store painted in priary colors stands out considerably against the white marble of the corridor. Red signs declaring a massive BOGO sale on LEGOs today. And well, for one Joan Wright. How on earth can she resist?

There are no carts in the mall store so instead, a slowly growing pile of LEGO sets is accumulating at the front register as the architect is taking advantage of the savings to get the building sets she has yet to acquire. Already on her third trip back, she's now eyeing the Hogwarts building set. Ooooh.

Megan Gwynn is one such person, a regular mall rat, eager to scout out the latest CDs, although vinyls are popular again too. She also needs new clothes and..Ooh is that a toy store? Cool. Truth be told, though she's eager to be an adult she still enjoys shiny flashy toys!

So, here she is somehow, eyeing that same Hogwarts LEGO building. oooh it's not the last one is it? Meepers! she makes a beeline for it.

Stepping up to the shelf Joan smiles as she reaches her arms up to grab ahold of the box. Holding on to it, she glances to the price tag, factoring in the conditions of the BOGO sale. "Equal or lesser value..." She murmurs, glancing around the rest of the assortment for something similarly priced that she doesn't have. Lets see. Got that. Got that .... Don't have that but wrong price...Waiting at the register-

Megan Gwynn meeps and reaches out to grab the other end at around the same time, peering intently at Joan, "Heey, I got here first." she pouts a bit, trying to be a good sport and not get into a fight over it but...Dammit, she's been looking everywhere for this!

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan blinks as the castle she's been eyeing, along with the other sets already up front, is being clung on to by another shopper. She doesn't let go as she processes the situation. Glancing to the shelf, she does confirm that indeed, this is the last one on the shelf so Dang it all. But. She glances towards the area of the front register and sighs dejectedly. The grip is loosened, surrendering the castle to the pink haired girl. "Fine."

Hmm. Maybe she can get a store IOU if they are out of the product?

Megan Gwynn blinks in surprise as she lets go. "Wait, you really dint mind?" oh yeah, she was expecting a fight or something, but hit this. "Geez...I feel bad. Hey, why don't we see if we can find another one? It's pretty crazy in here with the sales...Maybe one was misplaced?" and she starts looking around intently.

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan pauses as the one who was fightin with her just earlier starts to question her surrender. "Well. I really DO want that set." She admits, "I love the building sets. But... I kind of piled up on a few others already and I got a lot of work projects so, I have time to track down another one of those if that's the only thing you've been looking for."

Her head turns, glancing around as Megan suggests one might have been moved elsewhere. With her hands now free she could easily walk around looking. There's only one way out of the store so the cashier up front would know for certain that she didn't just up and abandon the already accumulated pile of LEGOs yet.

Megan Gwynn smiles, "Well you obviously really wanted that set, I'd hate to feel selfish..So come on!" she holds the LEGO set close to her chest as she wanders through the store to look for another. "I was sure I saw someone pick one up and put it down somewhere low and on a back shelf.."

Joan Wright has posed:
To the prompt to look low, Joan tilts her head back to try and get a better view of the lower shelf. Whether this is effective is up for question but what it does accomplish is a somewhat respectable architecht giving the derp face to a random row of dolls staring soulessly back through their plastic box prisons.

She also runs into John Cena... The punching bag toy. Apparently she couldn't see him.

Megan Gwynn meeps, nit finding it anywhere until. "Meepers! Lookie here!" she lets out a cry of triumph as she finds one familiar box hiding under piles of other boxes. "Sheesh what a mess....Here!" she hops to her feet, presenting said box to Joan.

Joan Wright has posed:
Eyes brightening Joan steps over to pick up the newly found box. Prize in hand without anyone else challenging for it. She bounces a little. "Yes! Thank you." She glances back over to the display, "I think I'm going to just grab another box and call it a day on the shopping. I got a bunch more up at the front counter. It's also going to be interesting getting all of this back home."
