A long time coming.
Date of Scene: 07 March 2020
Location: Wakandan Embassy
Synopsis: T'Challa and Shuri finally get a chance to talk.
Cast of Characters: Shuri, T'Challa

Shuri has posed:
She really hadn't planned on being caught by her brother just yet. Shuri's plan was to do some exploring of New York and Metropolis before he had a chance to catch up with her. Sure, she was aware he likely already knew she wasn't in Wakanda but then again, his orders were for their uncle to watch out for her and Wakanda. Not for her to stay put. Not her fault he wans't specific enough.

Now, she casually walks into the Wakanda Embassy, smiling as she looks it over before she rides the elevators up to the third floor, her bags long before her, already having arrived.

T'Challa has posed:
"The hotel was a nice touch." T'Challa's voice is rather flat as he is waiting for her at the doors of the Royal suite at the embassy. "What you did was very foolish, Shuri. If someone had known you were here, who you were, without escort." he frowns heavily at her.

And then he steps in to sweep his younger sister into a hug. "You have no idea how much trouble you are in, but I am glad to see you." he admits quietly.

Shuri has posed:
Hugging her back, she pulls back and smirks, "And if someone had figured out I was here, I'd be annoying them now instead of you." She nods her head, "I am not some helpless little gazelle out on the field amongst the predators." She nods her head and points at him, "You need to not forget who it is that made most of the gear you are wearing even now." She nods her head before shrugging, "And what punishment do you intend to excercise upon me?" She hmms and tilts her head, "Especially given that you likely need me to fix something you've broken."

T'Challa has posed:
"And what supposedly have I broken?" T'Challa asks. "For now, I am assigning Okoye to watch over you while you get in your fill of New York." That's probably just the tip of the iceberg though. "And while you are not a gazelle, I am not ready to show the world what we are capable of just yet." he admits as he settles his arms across his chest. "So why have you decided to disobey royal edict and come here anyway?"

Shuri has posed:
"First off, it's not a matter of if something will be broken. It's a matter of when something will be broken. If you haven't already, I'm sure you will." She nods her head and then she gestures to him, "And honestly, most of the intelligent people already suspect given your armor." SHe nods again before she then takes a step back and gestures into the air, "As for disobeying, technically I disobeyed nothing. Your words were to our Uncle and you said 'Please watch over Wakanda and keep an eye on Shuri while I am away.'" She nods her head and then looks at him, "You never directly said I couldn't come here. If anything you should be upset with Uncle. He obviously is not keeping an eye on me."

T'Challa has posed:
"Are you always so negative, Shuri?" T'challa inquires with a brief smirk before he moves to give her access to the suite. "You can have one of the spare bedrooms." he offers to her. "I assume you already know the codes to access the computer grid. I cannot give you access to the Avengers files without speaking to them first." he points out to her.

"Technically, you are to write the embassy to have your passport cleared before you arrive in country, but you bypassed that and I could send you home." But all signs are pointing to the face that he is not.

Shuri has posed:
A chuckle as she thinks about the very idea that she'd need to be granted access to any computer or files. All the same, she simply nods and then looks over to him briefly before saying, "Technically, I did have my passport cleared. At least, that is what the computers believe. All the same." SHe states and smiles at T'Challa, "I thank you for having me, Mister T'Challa." SHe nods her head and then she looks around briefly, "It is a very nice embassy. I am assuming that Okoye had a hand in designing it?"

T'Challa has posed:
"Most people do not know I'm royalty, Shuri." He says, giving her an affectionate ruffle of her head before T'Challa is heading within. "Father did, actually." he says quietly. Shaking his head after a moment's thought, he glances aside to her. "Don't make change my mind and have you sent home under guard. Did you at least leave Uncle a note?"

Shuri has posed:
"He knows." She states simply enough and won't go too deeply into that information as she doesn't wanna get Uncle in trouble. All the same, she then points at him casually and states, "Besides, you are happy to see me." She nods her head, "As I said, you'll need me for something before long and besides." She smiles sweetly, "I'm the better diplomat than you." SHe nods her head, "Either way, when /are/ you planning to make it clear who you are? The longer you hang around these Americans, the more suspicious they will get. They have eyes and ears everywhere. I'm not even just talkinag about their government either."

T'Challa has posed:
"I am not sure yet." T'Challa admits. "I had planned to speak to a reporter from the Daily Planet and allow them to see our home. But she has not contacted me since." he shrugs his shoulders. "And when would you think it would be good to do so?" he asks curiously.

Shuri has posed:
"As soon as possible." She shrugs and nods her head, "Better to act fast than wonder about it." She nods her head and then steps around him briefly before saying, "Anyway, I am going to go get ready for bed." She nods her head, "Some of us sleep." She nods to him.
