Cast of Characters: Elektra Natchios, Jessica Jones

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Late morning on Hell's Kitchen ..., and typically enough it's never quiet. And what is it with a car blaring it's alarm right in front of the building Elektra is headed? She sighs, hoping this doesn't mean danger, or even worse, that JJ is mad..

She had a mission here today afterall, and that was to talk with Jessica about a case, one that would perhaps help both of them. Or at least hell's kitchen..

She makes her way in, up the stairs that lead up to Alias Investigations and she knocks on the door, waiting..

Her sillhouette is perhaps visible through the glass. The feminine contours, that more arrogant poise.

"Mayhaps I should had called before coming.." she murmurs.

Jessica Jones has posed:
Jessica has just minutes ago managed to almost get herself back into a sleep cycle, when a knock on the door shakes her out of her uncomfortable sleep. One reddened eye opens slightly, as Jess shifts her head towards the door, "...you've got to be fucking kidding me..." she mutters sleepily, before calling out rather loud, "I'm not in." Because that tactic always works for the Looney Tunes.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Jessica?" Elektra's accented voice is heard from the other side of the entrance, she letting out a sigh when the response is 'I am not in.' Typical! Maybe she should had come at night.. Ah well!

It certainly doesn't stop her from moving to test and open the door. Hol' up..., are those her keys on the keyhole..? She takes in a deep breath. Focus, Elektra. JJ is one of the best in the business..

She opens the door, making sure to take those keys off and placing them on a nearby table once she is in. "I found your keys." she announces casually, her high-heeled steps now heard moving about JJ's place, still mostly by the office part.

Jessica Jones has posed:
"Uggh..." Jessica groans to herself upon recognizing who it is on the other side, she wants to cover her head with her pillow, but she already threw that at the other asshole who was interrupting her sleep earlier. "Christ," she sighs in annoyance, turning to look towards the door more fully. "What do you want, Elektra!?" She snaps, trying to sound as uninviting as possible. "I lost my keys...?" Jessica is apparently clueless about that mishap, just what happens when you get drunk out of your mind and try to stumble back home on your own.

At this point, Elektra already having allowed herself inside, Jessica rolls out of her bed and gets up slowly, "...fuck I'm going to hate today..." she mutters to herself before walking out to the living room / office.

Looking at the keys that been set on the table, she sighs, "thanks for those," a sharp eye might notice the window leading to her fire-escape has been shattered and Jessica's fist is still bleeding. "So...what did you want? Not breakfast I imagine, because I'm all out of cereal."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Elektra casts a look at that shattered window, then to JJ and down at her hand.. A faint frown comes to her expression. "Trouble?" but she -was- sleeping so.., she supposes the trouble is gone or .., somewhat disposed of. Fine by her! "Where is your bathroom?" she begins walking again, towards what she hopes will be it. She might as well help in getting that wound bandaged up.

"And I have a case for you, Jessica. This is office hours for you now, yes?" Apparently she isn't getting moved with the uninviting tone on Jessica. "One that I am willing to pay well for, of course." she adds, just putting in that little incentive of the money.

Jessica Jones has posed:
"Nothing you should concern yourself with..." Jessica starts, playing her usual aloof, devil may care attitude, but to be honest...she was kinda freaked out this morning. So she does after a pause, open up more, "well...if you must know, a demon was outside my bedroom window this morning, hanging on my fire escape...not sure if he was looking to rape, murder or recruit me...but it sucked."

"Eh..." Jess was about to say she's not cool with Elektra waltzing in her bathroom, but gives up, "fine, over there..." and as Elektra would step inside, she'll find 3 empty bottles of whiskey and bourbon scattered about on the floor. Someone must have had a 'romantic' night.

"A case...? Why don't you just throw your karate magic at it?" Jessica asks half jokingly. Jessica looks at her wrist, which clearly doesn't have a watch around it and shrugs, "I guess...who knows, I just went to bed like, maybe two hours ago?" The money mentioned seemed to have convinced her office hours were indeed now.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"A demon.." Elektra pauses to look over a shoulder at Jessica, watching her face, perhaps considering if she is indeed speaking the truth. "And so you .., threw him out of your window?" but then indeed she waltzes into JJ's bathroom, eyeing those empty bottles and arching an eyebrow. "Big party last night?" again that casual tone of hers, just bordering on the teasing. She multitasks though, searching around for the first aid kit inside the more typical places until she finally finds it inside a cabinet.

"I thought we had already agreed that Danny is the one with the magic karate. Not me." She walks out of that bathroom with the kit, smiling faintly at Jessica. "But no, this one needs your expertise. Your reputation precedes you afterall, and I have had direct experience with how good you are." some flattering is never bad. But the tone with which she says seems as if she is speaking it matter-of-factly.

"Maybe we can sit? We talk about the case while I look at that wound of yours?"

Jessica Jones has posed:
"I think so...had a third eye right here," Jess points at her forehead, "and was generally creepy as fuck, kept talking about how 'we' humans do stuff compared to whatever the fuck he knows. Pretty sure he mentioned Lucifer by name." Was Jessica drunk rambling and seeing things in the haze of sleep deprivation coupled with a hangover? Who knows. "Hey, don't judge me, I'm a friend of Matt's...it takes a lot, ok?" Classy, to blame it all on Matt, when he likely deserves none of the blame. He's been nothing but a stablizing effect on Jess' sham of a life. "So what's your brand? Ninja magic?" Jess asks, not letting go of that joke easy, "sorry about misbranding you."

"Sure, let's go to my desk," Jessica murmurs, walking up to her desk and nearly falling over with her seat from how heavy she drops into it. A quick latching against the desk, and she's alright. "So...lost someone? Something? Need to find someone? Something?" Those are the typical choices. She doubts anyone was cheating on Elektra without her knowing, or having already killed him.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Lucifer." Yes, Elektra repeats the name, but now she isn't entirely too certain on the veracity of Jessica's tale. "I'd say, Hell's Kitchen is weirder than I thought at first..." She makes way with Jessica to her table, steps elegant and precise, moving to sit opposite the Investigator. The first aid kit is set on the table. "Ninja magic, lets go with that." Jessica did see her use her tricks on the warehouse assault afterall! "But today I am just Elektra. No masks. And certainly no black PJs.."

The following question then makes her reply. "Tommy Lin." she says. "He is one of my contacts here in the city, one that has fed me information on the Hand." she explains, opening the first aid kit. "Let me see your hand." assuming it's given she begins to first disinfect it with some alcohol.

"But now he has stopped leaving me information on the usual place. He is not dead or I would had known about it, and I cannot approach him so without it being viewed as suspicious so ..., this is where you come in." she is methodic in the cleaning, making sure the wound is well disinfected before reaching for the bandages.

Jessica Jones has posed:
"Yes, that's the one, not the Devil, or Satan, just Lucifier, like he legit was his boss or something," Jessica squints at Elektra as she reads the woman as not buying her story, but she doesn't stress the point, not that it mattered in the grand scheme of things. "I handle alcohol very well, okay?" She quips at least that much in her defense about her, honestly, not very real sounding story. "Never thought of it, but makes sense for demons to hang around Hell's Kitchen, huh? Must have sense of humor, these demons."

"Cool, I rather have it this way, though your actual name almost sound like a madeup hero name, that's amazing," Jess can't help but point out. She extends her hand willingly, mostly suffering through pain in silence when alcohol is applied.

"Ok...so you need me to make contact or surveillance him...?" Jessica offers both, because she has ideas running in her head. "Sounds much more interesting than my typical case, thank you for that, Elektra."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Matt wasn't forgotten. "Yes, it takes a lot to be his friend sometimes." Elektra says. Clearly there is some kind of *history* there. But then she adds, "But he is there when we need him." tone softening just a notch from the usual bitchy one she uses. The story about the devil makes her frown again. She is still in the doubt.., the woman -does- seem sober enough now. "If you drank all I saw in your bathroom and you are standing right now yes, I believe you completely." she doesn't mention the dish made in her honor at the Dragon. The one more alcohol than actual food...

But fine, she indulges. "Do you think that demon may be a problem for you, or us?" Damn, good way to insert herself as part of the team.

"Surveillance to begin with." She replies, "I need to know what he is doing, where, and who he is meeting. Might be that he may have been compromised but .., without his information there is a lot I will be blind to here in New York." a sigh. "It doesn't help that the Hand has mostly gone silent last few weeks too." and it's easily readable that it worries her.

The bandages begin to be applied, she wrapping them carefully around Jessica's hand. "Too many years tending to my own wounds.." she explains with a faint smile. Wow, she was -almost- nice now.

Jessica Jones has posed:
Wow. Something both Elektra and Jessica can agree on, and sincerely at that. Impressive. Matt does provide a great service. "Yes, sometimes when we throw a glass bottle at him to tell him to go away too..." Jessica sighs, suddenly having a very vivid recollection of one of their meetings, "I think I owe him an apology. So...what's it like dating the guy," she makes a quick transition, not caring to delve on her own slights. "I appreciate the faith," Jessica notes, "I try to be honest with people, I don't like tall tales and lies." Nevermind that part of her job is to constantly lie to people.

Jessica gives Elektra a look at the 'us', she's not sure when that became a thing, but she's not about to piss all over it when Elektra was caring for her injury like a makeshift Claire. "I don't really know...never had a run in with a demon before..." Jess becomes eeriely quiet, almost as if she was hiding the fact she personally knew the devil himself. "Anyways," she snaps with a shake of her head, "I hope he won't be a problem. I'll try and talk to Matt about it, he's Catholics, he knows about this stuff more than I do."

She nods to herself when the assignment is described, "I think that's very doable...I'll get back to you in about a week or so, after I've had some time to pick up more information on the guy. May need another week though if he is super sneaky and has a difficult routine...I'll keep you posted."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"I hope you didn't waste good wine with that." The tossing that is. Perhaps an attempt at a jest. Elektra isn't the best at those, no, but she tries at least. But that full on shift of gears to her dating times with Matthew makes her sober up quickly. "It was a long time ago." she says, continuing on with her job of tightening the bandage, "Burned hard and fast, as all young love does. In the end we realized it wasn't good for any of us." Now though? She isn't exactly sure. And there's clearly a lot still left to be said between the two by her expression and tone. She does look up to Jessica after, perhaps wondering why she is opening herself in such a manner... Damn Jessica's interrogation skills!

The change to talking about a demon is welcome for sure. "He might be the one to help you. There are demons in other religions too though but well, namedropping Lucifer like that..." Though catholic religion does seem like one of those fields she'd find hard to be of help so she finishes bandaging that hand. Not a Claire-quality service for sure, but good enough.

"I will be looking forward to it. Let me know the details of the payment later. You have my number." she begins getting up to her feet. A pause.

"And be careful."

Jessica Jones has posed:
"I don't waste," Jessica murmurs but it's more of a reflex response because Elektra said something, she doesn't seem to truly care either way. "Yeah...most stories like that are a long time ago," Jess notes, though at least this time there's no hint of teasing. "Hard and fast, huh?" Jess smirks, but says nothing. "well, for what it's worth, sorry it didn't work out. I take it you don't have issues with Daisey, huh?"

If anything, at least Jessica proves that the faith put in her by Elektra wasn't for naught, as Elektra certainly isn't accustomed to opening up to people.

"Yeah...if you don't hear back from me it's because I've been dragged to the 9th circle of Hell or some bullshit like that, take care Elektra, and thanks..." Jessica mutters, and before Elektra is even out the door, she pulls a quarter full bottle of whiskey from her desk drawer and starts to drink straight from the bottle. Looks like she'll have to prepare for another working day after all...
