Cast of Characters: Cassandra Cain, Kyani Kohanna

Cassandra Cain has posed:
Deliver to: Yellow Maiden (ship), Pier 451, south district, 10:00 PM. Collect signature on arrival. Do not drop, fragile. Well, that's helpful.

Kyani stands on Pier 451, having had no trouble finding IT at least. There aren't any SHIPS on Pier 451, is the real problem... There's tons of dock-style storage containers, not enough lighting to really see by, but there just aren't any ships, especially any called the Yellow Maiden. You'd think a ship would be more, you know, visible. Or at least in the water.

What he does about it, that's totally up to him. But this is the location...

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Looking around and double checking the address, he blinks a few times. "I got the right address and hell I'm early. Where's the boat?" he asks more to himself but speaking out because that is what people do when they are confused at times. He had to run at a reasonable speed to get here without damaging the package. He didn't like fragile jobs, but the boss needed this one to be on time and knew he could count on Kyani. So here he is, looking around for a moment and checking his Stark Watch (Apple Watch) he waits for it to hit 10pm.

Cassandra Cain has posed:
There's a foot-tapping moment while time passes. For someone of Kyani's abilities, it's doubly hard to just sit and wait. Then trebly so, as nothing happens and the hour gets closer. Punctuality or being early was always a boon, darnit! There shouldn't be a wait, especially for a boat! They're slow!

Then the foot-tapping seems to be a bit...odd. Staccato somehow. Something about it, wait, that's not his foot tapping, that's a different noise entirely. Hm. A quick turn of the head would reveal a yelp, muffled. Then more staccato beats. Something nearby is...hey that sounds like a fight!

Not far away indeed, but it was happening quietly. It took a very bored pair of ears to spot the sounds at all.

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
He quirks a brow and still carrying the package, he quietly moves to where the noise is coming from. He's not heard of fighting being silent unless there is like ninjas or something. 'Whoa ninjas....yea'right.' he thinks to himself. Still he is quiet and is moving so that he can see whats going on, doing his best to keep himself out of sight.

Cassandra Cain has posed:
Which is when Kyani, humble messenger, sees his first ninja.

You know it's not a real ninja if you can see it, but this still counts. Because it's HARD to see, he actually has to squint and even then it's not a certain thing. They're fast, but that's not really the issue. It's more of a shadow-thing. Bodies moving in the darkness, clarity isn't always the best. And they seem to be staying in the shadows.

But one flies across the small space between containers, and slams into the metal sheeting, hard enough to bounce. When it does he sees it, a male in black from head to toe. Somehow it managed to not make much noise even being slammed! And it dives back in, with Kyani spotting weapons of some sort in the ninja's hands.

There appears to be a bunch of them! And...they're kind of like crows, swooping in and slashing at a cat. A small black cat shaped like a ...human. Hard to tell.

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Blinking a few times, "Whoa..." he says, than he blinks as he says that out loud giving away his position where he is. Still you don't ever, EVAR SEE NINJA!!!!!! He can't believe his eyes as he watches the fight and they are losing to Ninja Cat who also fast, none of them are faster than he is though, he smirks forgetting that he's left himself open as well he's standing there and he spoke up quite loudly.

Cassandra Cain has posed:
One pair of eyes turns to look at the newcomer. He can see them in the darkness, flashing red. Yes, red. The ninjas have red eyes. That can't be good for your ocular health. Then the one who looked at him raises a hand in Kyani's direction, and small bits of glinting steel are in the air.

Just after that, a hand goes over his face. And his eyes vanish, as a thud heralds why you shouldn't lose focus when fighting a Ninja Cat, even as a group.

But the shuriken coming at Kyani's face are still deadly sharp, and deadly real.

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Red eyes, 'Oh shit, this is legit ninja.....what the hell..' he thinks to himself as shurikens come at him. Though to most who can't see movement faster than the eye or even faster, "Uhh..." is all that is said, but the shuriken are caught carefully. He's not stupid, he stumbles back, "Hey don't throw that crap at me!" he calls out holding his arm like he was hit, the shuriken is placed on a container so he can get it back and the package is also safe and secure.

Cassandra Cain has posed:
Legit ninja or not, they're keeping pace with their opponent. Though having one avenue of attack cut down, Kyani's very presence seems to have had an effect. The person in the middle of the fight, the target of all the aggression, seems to be moving as fast as all of them put together!

No. That's not right. Kyani's eyes have pretty much adjusted now, and with his speed he can tell. Female. Small'ish. And NOT that fast, really. They just...ain't laying much contact on her. She has pale skin, on her face, though that's all that's exposed. Unfortunately her counters aren't doing much in return either; every time she manages to get a swing in another ninja attacks, forcing her to turn. She looks...

She looks bored. The ninjas attacking her are, apparently, boring. And her head turns for an instant in Kyani's direction, looking at his face. Not a word, but her eyes flicker to the exit he came in through. A message, perhaps.

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
He sees the woman and he blinks, why does she look board and she looks ot be about a few years younger than him. He looks up at the ninja around her, "Hold on a sec." he says loud enough for them all to hear him. He waits for their attention to shift onto him. Once they do, he is gone, white lightning can be seen brighting the area just a little bit, but Kyani hits all the red eyed ninja with precise strikes knocking them out and he reappears back where he was standing and as time catches up with him, he smiles, "You look like you weren't even working up a sweat and I figured I would help ya out." he says as he nods to the ninja around her.

Cassandra Cain has posed:
There's a half-second, hard to pin down, but it -almost- looked as if the girl was surprised when all of her foes fell. She lowers her hands, letting her heels settle on the ground, and glances about. Her eyes settle on each form in the darkness, as they fall to the ground. Then those orbs turn to Kyani.

Considering how violent she was just being, the fact that he's just make a judgement call on someone he's never met...she COULD turn that violence upon him.

She does not. She just stands there, head cocked, and looks at him. As a small trickle of sweat goes down her temple. Then without warning she hunches down, pulling at the closest ninja's pants. No, his belt.

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
"Sorry, I didn't know how long you were going ot keep going, but I don't know if this place has security or something and didn't want to have you all get caught." he says to her. "You ok?" he asks as he looks at her. He doesn't move towards her, he saw what she was doing to them and knows his skills isn't that good. "Umm...maybe I should get going..." he says as he looks to her. But when she begins taking the belt from one of the guys, he stands there watching her. He stretches out himself and he looks to his watch, "Crap, it's 10!" he says as he grabs the package, "I need to meet someone, be right back." he says and goes back to wher ehe was supposed to wait for the person he was here for.

Cassandra Cain has posed:
There IS a boat pulling in. It appears that the tides wait for no man, and can not be rushed. So as the Yellow Maiden pulls in, Kyani is forced to wait. Again. Ugh. There's a lady on board, seems to be the one piloting the boat. She's not important for the story though, so the delivery goes off without a hitch.

It just takes SO DAMN LONG! There's ninjas behind him, and they're being ransacked by the party's monk! Not even a thief subclass. She'll miss all the good loot!

When he gets back, the ninjas are gone. The girl...is not.

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Delivery made! Yes!!! When he does come back, he looks to the girl who didn't leave, "What happened to the other guys?" he asks looking around curiously. He has the shuriken that was thrown at him in his pack now. "You ok?" he asks her again this time making sure he doesn't run away from her but he's also watching to make sure she doesn't attack him.

He looks around the area she was fighting in from where he is standing. He still didn't want to get close to her just yet, he doesn't know her but he was hoping his help was ok, if not she may attack or tell him. He hopes for the later.

Cassandra Cain has posed:
The young lady, not sure 'girl' is the right term, walks out of the shadows. Enough to be seen easily, just a courtesy apparently since she's clearly at ease in the darkness. She's being polite? Perhaps so.

Tilting her head, she watches him talk. Then she points to her own belt, then ..seems to mime pulling something from it. Nothing in her hand, but she clearly pulls 'nothing' from her belt. Then she points her hands at the ground near her feet, and then spreads them wide in a blowing fashion.

The ground where the ninjas were seems odd, and there's a haze in the wind that wasn't there before. Dust of some sort, just lightly red.

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Kyani looks to the woman in front of him, and he blinks a few times. "Hello." he says as he looks to her. When she begins miming to him, he tries to understand, "You took their belts and they poofed?" he asks as he looks at her. He was never good with sharades. He hopes that is what she meant, "Can you understand me?" he asks hoping she can. "Whats your name?"

Cassandra Cain has posed:
The snap-point the girl gives at Kyani's guess is, at least, obvious. Then she frowns at all the other questions. The first emotion she's shown, not counting boredom. Mild annoyance, apparently, at being asked things. It passes quickly enough. She does not, however, open her mouth to make mouth-noises back at him. Instead she just watches him, her eyes mild and expressionless.

It's odd, she seems to be just...watching. As if that's as important as anything else she's done tonight, and perhaps just a bit more interesting. Than ninjas. To be fair, she looked like she's seen ninjas before.

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
"Ok stupid questions." he says as he looks at her. Though it seems he was right about the belts, and she seems to be alright. Though with all the staring, "I'm Kyani." he says to her and he holds his hand out to her to offer. "I delivered what I needed to, do you need a ride anywhere?" he asks. Kyani isn't sure about all of this, but he doesn't look nervous or anything as he talks with her.

Cassandra Cain has posed:
Not an instant's pause occurs, Kyani's hand is met by her own. She was extending it when he brought his forth, as if she were expecting it. She doesn't shake though, just takes his hand and squeezes it. No threat. No issue. No words, it's possible that she's a mute.

No answers though, nothing he says seems to be having an impact. Then, for no apparent reason, she looks behind him. To the right, over his shoulder. Staring there intently.

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
He shakes her hand and smiles, "Nice to meet you." he says to her. He feels the strength in her hand and he bows his head to her once he takes his hand back. Seeing her fight, he does a formal bow something he's learned from his sifu of Wushu and Wing Chun.

He sees that she isn't looking at him and he moves to his left to look behind him just to make sure he isn't being snuck up on. He doesn't say anything, she seems not to need a ride and maybe she is a mute, but he didn't like that she was looking behind him and he didn't want to be taken by surprise.

Cassandra Cain has posed:
Nobody there. Nothing, just a yellow ship finishing its mooring process. The lady seems occupied with tying rope. She's barely visible, and not important to the story.

The odd thing is that when Kyani turns back, there's nobody HERE either. The wordless wonder isn't where she was, and there is no way she moved that quickly or silently. But the proof is there: she isn't.

A quick glance around would show no real place to hide. Just a couple of dusty shadows, and no martial artists to be seen.

Not even a goodbye.
