MiB meets WiB
Date of Scene: 28 October 2020
Location: The Triskelion: Courtyard
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Hela, Phil Coulson

Hela has posed:
At least it's late in the year, so it's probably not all bright and sunny. There's probably quite a few interesting types go through the courtyard outside the SHIELD building, and today is no exception. Darkness suddenly gathers in one still corner of the courtyard, and then Hela steps out of it.

She's trying to give a pleasant impression - the scary antlers have been smoothed down into long black hair, and there are no deathswords present - but she's still seven feet tall and half a ton of goth menace at the best of times.

She looks up at the SHIELD building, and heads for the door to go in. That's the normal thing to do, after all.

Phil Coulson has posed:
It's not that often that Phil Coulson takes some time to just go off for a drive, but this time, he has done so. But he has returned now, and after having parked his car in the garage, he makes his way out from the garage, looking around a little as he starts making his way towards the doors. That is, until he sees the seven feet tall woman. Coming to a stop, he watches her for a few moments, before he starts making his way over in her direction.

Hela has posed:
Aha, a guy in a suit, striding determinedly towards her / the building. Perfect. She meets him halfway, and then nods at him, her hands behind her back.

"Do you work here, Midgardian? This is the SHIELD building, is it not?" she asks. A bit rhetorically, she knows exactly what it is. "I am looking for an emissary from your realm. This seemed to be the best place to go to find one for what I have in mind. Maybe you are that emissary, or can serve as such.".

Phil Coulson has posed:
Phil Coulson raises an eyebrow as he's referred to as 'Midgardian', although there's not much more of a reaction than that. He offers another nod, as he hears her words. "I work here, yes," he replies, before he adds, "From you calling me Midgardian, I believe your probably Asgardian?" It's offered, before he smiles, "What kind of an emissary would you happen to be looking for, if I may ask?"

Hela has posed:
Hela assumes that he will do, or at least he can point her to someone who can do she wishes. Smiling then, she spreads her arms a bit happily - which means it gets a little darker around her, naturally. "I am. I am Hela, step-niece of Thor, who I assume you have heard of. Queen of Hel and Niffleheim.". Now she has that assumption, she introduces herself properly, minus the scary titles.

"Having heard tales of my uncle's exploits in Midgard, and how he is loved by many here, I wish to aid this realm in much the same way as he. So, that desire is what brought me to this place.".

Phil Coulson has posed:
Phil Coulson smiles, "Ah, a relative of Thor?" He offers a polite nod. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Phil Coulson, Field Director. How may SHIELD help you today?" Nodding again as hge hears the rest of whatss's said. "I see."

Hela has posed:
"Field Director. That sounds like... general. So, perhaps you can arrange this then. Excellent. A fortuitous meeting indeed.". Hela nods back at him.

And there's a pause. Which eventually ends with her frowning and looking a bit askance at him. "I see? Do the generals of Midgard always react so tepidly when allies arrive at their door?". She glances over at the building to her left. Literally, at the door.

Phil Coulson has posed:
"Truth to be told, the general himself is a few steps higher than me," Coulson replies, before he adds, "But I should be far enough up the ladder to be able to help." As he hears the rest of what she said, he shakes his head. "Sorry. We should probably head inside to continue our talk." He gestures towards the door, offering a smile. "Please forgive me for the reaction." Gesturing to the door, he waits for her to start moving for it before he does the same.

Hela has posed:
"Very well, field director. And you are forgiven.". Hela turns and walks over to the building - maybe ducking a bit to get in the door, careful to give anybody else wandering around here a very wide berth. No need for a diplomatic incident on her first day now after all.
As she has no idea where she's going, when she's inside she waits a few paces beyond for Coulson to catch up.

Phil Coulson has posed:
Phil Coulson nods again as he hears her words, stepping inside again. "Thank you," he replies to the part about being forgiven, before he starts to lead the way in the direction of where his office is. "This way," he says, before he adds, "You said it was the tales of what your uncle has done for the people here that inspired you to come?"

Hela has posed:
Hela follows at a bit longer distance than would be normal perhaps, but she does follow him along, hands behind her back once more. "Yes... I know of his fame here, and how he is loved. I have had little to do with Midgard for many years, but all in Asgard know of the Thunderer, after all. Odin's banishment has turned out to be wise indeed, as Thor is a greater prince than ever as a result of his exile here.".

Phil Coulson has posed:
Phil Coulson nods again as he listens. "I'm glad to hear things worked out well for him," he offers. Leading the way the rest of the way to his office, he opens the door. "Do you need something to drink, or something?" he offers, before he adds, "We can talk in the office."

Hela has posed:
Hela looks a bit taken aback at being offered drinks. But pleased, at least. Very pleased! "Your hospitality is appreciated, Field Director. But unnecessary.". She squeezes into his office, and moves to a corner to let him in after her.

Then she looks around said office, and mmhs. Not exactly Asgard size or splendour. But it's his realm, not hers, and besides, she wants something. So she doesn't say what she's thinking.

Phil Coulson has posed:
Phil Coulson nods as he hears that, moving inside as well. Moving to his desk, he turns to offer her another smile. "Sorry that the room is a bit small. It's not that often we get Asgardian visitors, after all." There's a brief pause, as he gestures to a chair at the other side of the desk from his side. "You were saying you wanted to aid us?"

Hela has posed:
Hela looks at the lil Midgard chair rather dubiously. That thing looks like half a ton settling on it might be a problem. Maybe not. But the Queen of the Dead doesn't want to end up on her arse in her job interview, that would be embarassing. And would she even fit on it?

"I can stand for a while." she replies, instead nudging the chair out of the way and standing in front of his desk with her hands behind her again. And she nods. "I do. In the same manner as my uncle.".

Phil Coulson has posed:
Remaining standing for now as well, Coulson nods. "Your uncle is with the Avengers. Have you spoken with him about joining them?" There's a brief pause, before he adds, "I mean, that would be the most direct way of helping us in the same way as him, wouldn't it?" He nods again, studying her for a few longer moments. "Forgive me if I ask many questions, but I'm just trying to understand how you think about how to be working together."

Hela has posed:
"I spoke to the Thunderer in Asgard. We do have an... unfortunate history. Family relationships are strained.". Hela smirks a bit, thinking of all the horrible things she's done. But never mind, her eyes focus once more upon Phil. "We did agree to stop squabbling, but while he said he wouldn't stop me, he also said he wouldn't help me.".

She spreads her arms, the room getting a bit colder. "So given the Thunderer's lack of eagerness, I find myself in your recruiting post, Field Director.".

Phil Coulson has posed:
Nodding again as he hears that, Coulson raises an eyebrow as he hears the part about the unfortunate history and the strained family relationships. "Oh?" Sounding a little curious about that, before he adds, "May I ask what strained the family relationships?" There's a brief pause as he can feel the room getting a bit colder, and a very brief grimace, but the grimace is gone almost as soon as it arrived. "I think my next question will be if you are looking to work alongside SHIELD as an ally or something else?"

Hela has posed:
"Thor has a difficult time accepting my divinely appointed task. And while going about my rightful duties, sometimes we came into conflict. These misunderstandings of each others role then evolved into a feud... but we have agreed to put that behind us. It will not be a difficulty... the Thunderer has promised not to interfere further, if I do likewise with his affairs.". Hela explains at some length, before being slightly confused by Coulson's question.
"Hmm... I am not sure I understand your question, Field Director. I would like to meet Midgard's heroes, and to fight alongside them against Midgard's foes. To do as Thor does.".
