Peter Parker has posed:
There are certain things you have to keep in mind in the superheroing biz. One of them is when making an entrance is key, and when stealth is preferred.

Visiting the house in Queens, New York without creating a news media infestation is where the stealth comes in.

Descend into the forest area near St. Lukes Episcopal. Follow below the treeline east, zip between the cluster of trees over Ascan Street, follow for 320 feet, hang a right, and descend to the ground in the backyard of 20 Ingram Street, where the high privacy fences and thick tree growth inhibits being spotted. Submarine commanders use this kind of precision when traveling along the ocean floor, and this type of ingress/egress has helps Spider-Man get in and out without being spotted, and now it exists to serve one of the most powerful people on the planet. And maybe even OFF it.

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara's approach is a blur, zipping like a line of red and blue. She comes to a skidding stop with boots to turf and then adjusts hers belt and looks around to see if anyone noticed her arrival. Nope! All good. She walks in to Peter's place via the backyard and knocks on the door. "Hellooo? Peter?," she asks out of politeness. She can hear him inside.

It's become important for her to take time to be with her friends, to separate the end of the world from the living world as much as possible. A stress breaker, a chance to relax and appreciate Earth and its people for what it is.

Peter Parker has posed:
There are a few seconds of motion, and then the door is opened...

And there is Aunt May, smiling at Kara with warm eyes.
"Why, Supergirl, it's so good to see you! I was hoping you'd arrive before I went to visit friends. Come in, come in!"

Aunt May steps back, holding the door wide. "Now, I have beef stew in the crock pot, it should be ready by now. I also have one of my BEST apple pies for you and Peter, and a second one for you to bring to your very broad-shouldered relative." She winks. "Peter is in the lab, but he has been notified and will be up in a few seconds. That Mr. Kord works him hard, but this job he has at KordCo has made going to college possible, and I take every opportunity to be thankful to those who have helped Peter."

She pauses, then adds, "If you and your fellow Super-fellow are not engaged for Thanksgiving, we would be honored to have you both at our table."

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara gently touches Aunt May's forearm and says, "That sounds really delicious thank you. I'll have to see about Thanks Giving. Time flies you know? there's so much going on in the world." A kind smile to a very kind woman is given and she says, "Ted Kord hm? Well, so long as he's having fun."

She raises an eyebrow, not so sure about KordCo. It seems every corporation that springs up these days is secretly run by a supervillain who inevitably betrays everyone they're working for and tries to take over the world. She takes in a small breath, here's hoping Peter has good taste.

"Have a good day," she adds and then turns and heads to the lab. If there's weight on her shoulders, she's holding it up with her super strength today. Hanging out with her friend is the cure to a lot of the world's woes. With a knock on the door she says, "Peter, it's me Supergirl."

Peter Parker has posed:
There is a tiny bump of the heart rate. It's nervousness, of course. "Uhm, the door's open? Come on down."

The lab looks the same, all rebuilt, re-purposed, or repaired equipment. Except for the all-new stuff in Harry's Hovel (stuff Peter confessed he seldom uses unless Harry's here), everything either came from an auction or a Dumpster. But Peter knows all the best dumpsters.

Peter is standing near the large table in the center, smiling a little sheepishly. "Hey, Kara..."
Yeah, he knows, but he's never used it unless it was just them, and he is keeping it that way.
"Aunt May gave you the royal treatment, I'm sure."

Kara Danvers has posed:
She opens the door and heads down to the workshop.

"Aunt May is one of the loveliest people I know. But it also runs in the family," she says with a fond smile for her ex-boyfriend. Her hands come to rest on the large table by the center and she says, "You're not going to believe everything that's been happening out there. Things have been getting crazy. Good news first -- the missing Titans; they're back. They arrived via spaceship."

Kara leaves out the part where Raven suddenly teleported her out in to the middle of space and they had to fight space pirates and space religious zealots and hitch a ride back to Earth with a talking racoon. On second thought, "And there was a talking racoon who flew the space ship."

She grins at that, it's hard not to be excited by that particular nugget of information. Even if he was surly and told her her people are extinct. "Your turn, what's news with you?"

Peter Parker has posed:
Peter takes a deep breath.
"Well...let's see. I got headhunted after I screwed up my dream job at Stark. My fault. Long story short, my mouth wrote checks my job couldn't cash. But I met Ted Kord, and he seemed like a decent guy."

He pauses for a moment, then goes for it.
"I...also got called in to explain the...numerous tardies and absences, and I took a gamble. I found out Ted Kord is the hero known as the Blue Beetle...so I told him I was Spider-Man. I went by the fact that the idea of telling him didn't set off my Spider-Sense."

Peter sat on the edge of the re-purposed pool table acting as his main table. "The thing is...he was impressed. Apparently, he's a Spider-fan. And...things sorta changed. Before, he seemed...distracted, disconnected. But he set up my schedule to work around my...fluid attendance...and we got a lot done. He even helped me design and craft a better suit, using a KordCo polymer weave to enhance the durability and insulative properties. He seemed...re-energized, almost."

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara's eyes widen a touch as Peter tells her he told Kord his secret identity. "Peter.. well I'm really glad you have that spider-sense. That's very helpful in knowing who to trust. New super suit? fun!" She chuckles. She is one to comment, she's made three just this year herself. She has plans for more.

"I think my next suit will have pants. May be. That or a mid-rift," she says with a touch of joy. "Okay.. on to the weird news. A Titan ended up on another version of Earth after following an alternate version of me through a portal where she battled and met ... General Zod, who had been fighting as the resistance on that other planet."

She waves her hands and says, "None of that is important. The important part is that Argo City, the city I grew up in, ... my fathers shielding system worked in that other timeline. Argo City survived. They flew to Earth! My mother and father were ~alive~ Peter."

A finger pokes a hole in the table and she pauses, glances down and then looks back to Peter with a guilty expression, "Sorry. I ... I got excited. This. This is big news. If they survived in that other dimension, may be they survived in this dimension," she says. The look of need on her face for this to be true is palpable. Especially after Power Girl told her she'd never see her parents again.

Peter Parker has posed:
Peter nods at the suit alterations, then tilts his head as he listens to the weird goings-on. But then again, this is SUPERGIRL. When you're in that (Justice) League, the weirdness and magnitude goes way up.

But then she gets to talking about Argo City, and the news her parents were alive. That there is a whole CITY of her people survived. That is the point where Peter's smile grows, the hesitancy gone, and he becomes almost hero-handsome in his delight. Kara had been told about his Peter's parents had disappeared, how May and Ben had become his parents in all but name, and the loss of his uncle that had marked him forever. So he knew how important family was, and so much more because of what Kara had gone through.

"That's GREAT!" he says, not even noticing the hole in the table. He might notice it later, but that's later. "If the whole city survived, then it's always possible! That's awesome, really!"

She moved a tectonic plate to save Nepal, travels to other planets, but THIS is the awesome bit for Peter.

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara lifts up a hand and takes a deep breath. "But. That was an alternate dimension. So.. I can't get my hopes up. Things play out differently in different versions of reality. Even in that reality, a sad fate befell them." She releases the breath in to a long sigh and then shakes her head, "Any way. Work is going well. There's a new reporter - Nia Nal. She's nice. And your work is going amazing by the sounds of it. Do you ever get that feeling may be you're doing too much?"

Who better to be a university student, have an internship, be part of two superhero teams, take time to hold a seminar on an alien invasion between SHIELD and the DEO, and somehow still have time for her friends.

She laughs, "Nah, I could handle a few more things in my life. More people. I like people. May be I'll make friends with the talking racoon." She holds up a hand, "Oh and get this. You can't make this up. He's a captain of a spaceship and his name is Rocket. Captain Rocket the Racoon...!"

Peter Parker has posed:
Peter blinks, then points at Kara. "Okay. You win for most out-there experience. But someday, SOMEDAY, Kara...I will have an experience more interesting than yours."

He snickers slightly at that. Like THAT will ever happen.
"I have the benefit of exrtra stamina. The job at KordCo is good, but almost all of it goes to pay tuition for Empire State. Started classes in the fall, and, barring a major incident, I'm going to ace all my classes. Even the World History one. And as long as I don't do something IMMENSELY stupid like I did at Stark, the job will mean no student loan debt. Of course, I had to keep taking pics for the Bugle, but I'm used to that. It seems as long as I keep providing content for the Bugle, I can keep ConEd happy."
He pauses, then says ruefully, "I'll still ALSO provide content for Spider-Fail.com, but oh, well."

He took a deep breath. "I actually got a feeler from the Planet. Someone asking about an article on New York in general, but I get the feeling they saw my name connected to the Spider-Man pics on the Bugle's website."

Kara Danvers has posed:
"Oh.. OH.. you should get an interview with them. If you got a job at the planet, we'd be working together," she says with a happy smile at the prospect. "Oh yes also your aunt has left us a heap of food upstairs. We shouldn't let that go to waste. Are you finishing up down here?," she asks and motions to the project he's been working on.

"Because I'm starving," she says patting her flat tummy, "and I love your aunt's cooking."

Peter Parker has posed:
Peter ohs. "Yeah, I'm almost done. Been analyzing the cell-phone network in Gotham after a little trip over there. Realized how good I have it here, because of the Spider-Comm network."

He begins arranging the papers. "It sounds like a great idea, Kara...but New York's my home. I can't leave Aunt May in any case. And I have to say, although I can get around fairly quickly in the Big Apple, Metropolis is a ways away for the commute."

He shuts down the computer, then heads to the stairs. "Be kinda nice if I could commute to Metropolis like YOU can, but not everyone can go transsonic." He winks and opens the door at the top for Kara to step through.
