Date of Scene: 13 March 2020
Location: SoHo
Synopsis: Reubens all around!
Cast of Characters: Beatriz da Costa, Kyani Kohanna

Beatriz da Costa has posed:
"Look, really, it's perfectly simple..." The exasperated woman's voice rises briefly before shushing. No reason to escalate this any more, no matter how irritating the cud-chewing barely-out-of-school sales clerk is being. "I need to talk to the owner." She pinches the bridge of her nose, shaking her head slightly. "I'm not complaining. I'm not trying to get discounts. I'm trying to SELL."
"Yeah, but, this is a shop," the girl says, clearly way out of her depth and unsupervised to boot. "You're supposed to buy here."
"How do you think the clothes get here? Do you make them in the back room? Do people donate them?"
    "I dunno."
"The owner DOES. That's why I need to speak to her or him. Now can you either call them or tell me their phone number so I can?"

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
SoHo, yup today is a busy one for Kyani, he has quite a few parcels to deliver, luckily there isn't any packages to deliver. Moving up and down the street going from business to business. Though he had payroll coming in to this particular shop, which is always screwing up their payroll.

He walks in and he hears the women arguing and he smirks a little as he looks at both women, though the younger woman doesn't seem to know what to do. Kyani walks up closer, "Can you get your manager, I'm from Macks Deliveries and I have his package for him to sign for." he says. He looks to Beatriz, "Sorry, didn't mean to step in like this, they marked this urgent." he says as he looks to her.

Beatriz da Costa has posed:
"Oh, by all means. Perhaps when the manager arrives to sign I can get this moving forward."
The green-clad, green-haired, cassia-skinned woman smiles at Kyani. "Besides, you look by your demeanour like you're on a tight schedule. I'm certain I can wait."
She looks around the store, and out its storefront. "I'm just trying to get my line carried here. That's not an urgent matter."
Bea steps aside and lets the newcomer figure out how to deal with the world's largest dullard in retail.

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Kyani smiles to the Cassia-skinned woman. He than looks to the sales woman, "This is important can you please go get your manager, I have quite a few other deliveries to make." he says to the woman behind the counter. She looks between them both and leaves to get her boss. He sighs and looks back to Beatriz, "Do you want your line being sold here if the sales people can't do simple things?" he asks as he makes a face as the other woman glances back at them narrowing her eyes at the two and dissappearing in the back.

"Hi my name is Kyani." he says as he holds his hand out to Beatriz, "You are?" he asks as he looks to her studying her for a moment, before looking around the store. He shakes his head not liking the clothing they have here, though what he is wearing is urban hip-hop but his ass isn't hanging out his clothes like some people who think sagging has to show off their boxers.

Beatriz da Costa has posed:
"I'm Beatriz da Costa. Friends call me Bea. Which is most people." The departing girl gets a quiet comment added. "She will be calling me Ms. da Costa I think..."
OK, there appears to be a small amount of hostility.
"I'm positive I've seen your company's staff--maybe even you?--in my design house in the Garment District. BDC Fashion House? I'd have to ask the office manager, but the uniform looks familiar."
She taps her fingers idly on the counter as she glances briefly in the direction of the sales girl. "She's the exception I think. You don't get storefront that lasts as long as this place if all your employees are incompetent."

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
A chuckle escapes him, "Nice to meet you Bea." he says to her using a bit of an accent when he says it. "Yea, the main trucks delivers there, this is no uniform, this is my normal street clothes." he chuckles. He's also wearing a pair of old skool Jordans. "Me, I think I have delivered a few things to yoru company, though now it's nice to see the face behind the company." he says to her.

After a bit, the Manager comes walking out, an older sever looking woman standing at 5'10" bleached blonde hair. "Delivery person, ah yes, please let me sign whatever it is." she says looking to Kyani.
Kyani turns and walks over to the woman and he pulls out the iPad and lets her sign it. "Alright hurry up, I have a business to run." she says. Kyani quirks a brow up at her. "I'm not the one who forgets how to use a ....." he he stops himself and just hands over the package. She looks at the invoice, "Why did the price increase?" she says a bit hotly. Kyani was already starting to turn away, when she speaks to him. Bea would notice a sigh escape him, "You put this in two days ago, and who ever handles your payroll sent it, and we just got it an hour ago. It's here, on time. Yeah you got charged a higher rate." he states.
"I will call your manager boy! I don't like your attitude." she says to him.

A wicked smirk crosses his face. "Ok." he says simply. "Hey Bea, what you doing after you finish here?" he asks as he looks to Beatriz.

Beatriz da Costa has posed:
Bea's face hardens at the way the manager treats Kyani. Way hardens. Hardens to the point that her emerald eyes seem to glow with anger.
No, wait, at this angle this is not a reflection from the sunny day outside. They ARE glowing a bit.
"You mean now?" she asks, her voice cold, but the coldness seems directed at the manager. "I find that you know the character of a person by how they treat the help. Janitors. Couriers. Servers. Sales clerks. Suddenly BDC Fashion wants nothing to do with this place."
Her smile is devoid of all human warmth, though some heat is behind it. (Wait, is it feeling warm around her all of a sudden?)
"Good luck trying to go over my head. I'm pretty sure the company ownership will back my decision to blacklist this shop."
She turns to Kyani, and her face warms up, even as the air around her stops. "It turns out I have a sudden clear block in my afternoon. So, no plans, really."

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Kyani feels the warmth and as he looks at Bea, he does see the glow in her eyes. He smiles a little but he turns around just in time to catch how Bea's words hit the manager of the store and her eyes go wide. "Wha...he's only....." she stops as she looks to Kyani who just leans against the door watching how things are shaping up. He smiles as Bea tells him her afternoon has cleared up.

The store manager looks pissed off, her cheeks are red and the store clerk comes out just as Bea says the name of her company and her eyes go wide, "Really....I..." teh store manager looks at her quickly, "Hush Ashley." she says.

Kyani opens the door for Bea, "You hungry, lunch can be on me." he says as he looks to her.

Beatriz da Costa has posed:
Humming ironically as she walks out--it seems to be the song "Fire" by Arthur Brown--she nods to Kyani as she approaches the door. "Lunch sounds delightful," she says to "only" the delivery boy, though her face flickers with annoyance as behind her back she hears the manager's shrill voice starting with, "What did you DO Ashley!?"
Shaking her head, she mutters to Kyani, "Some people just can't learn."
Stepping out into the street with him, taking his arm along the way as if it were the most natural thing in the world to the point of being an unconscious reflex, she asks, "So what did you have in mind?"

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Kyani just shakes his head as they leave out of the building. "No they don't." he says to her. As her arm wraps around his, his hand rest on her hand. "What do you have the taste for, my treat." he says to her with a smile. The weather is pretty nice out and Kyani does know this area, though he is waiting for Bea to say something of what she would like. "So you're the owner of BDC Fashion I take it?" he asks.

Beatriz da Costa has posed:
"BDC. Bea da Costa. BDC is me. I'm BDC." Bea grins. "I wonder how long it will take that woman to try sucking up to me to get me to drop the blacklisting?" she then wonders aloud. "I mean, I'm not van Dyne, but I note she doesn't stock van Dyne either. I wonder what she did to piss Jan off?"
She looks around, eyes scanning for something decent. "Listen, there's a deli down that way," she decides. "I'm having a real urge for a Reuben. Are you up for deli food?"
She pauses then, before adding, "And thanks. For showing me that place's true nature. I don't like doing business with assholes if I don't have to."

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
Brows raises up as she explains and he laughs, "Nice, I like it." he says to her as he looks to Bea. "Though I've been thinking of branching off from Macks to do my own thing." he chuckles. Shaking his head a little bit, "Jan is another designer I take it?" he asks as he looks at Bea. He shrugs a bit, design wasn't his thing. He smiles at the sound of going to a Deli and he walks towards the Deli, "I've never had a Rueben and let's eat." he smiles as he looks to Bea. "Besides who gets to say they got to eat lunch with a beautiful woman who is the owner of her own company." he smiles.

He knwos where the deli is and easily navigate them there. "As for assholes, you're welcome." he smiles to her. "Doing this job I meet a lot of assholes, but I also meet a lot of chill people." he smiles. "If you need more deliveries done like small packages or high value, if you don't want to go through Mack, you can just get ahold of me and I will take care of it." he says to her.

Beatriz da Costa has posed:
"Reubens are a treat. Smoked meat on rye with sauerkraut and swiss. Everything about each individual ingredient that makes you cringe is mixed with what's awesome about every other ingredient. A bit of hot mustard on that and you've got something that almost compares to the food back home!"
Her accent gave that away long ago.
"And yes, if I need special service I'll call you." She leaves that interpretation deliberately vague. "Now let's eat. I could eat a horse right now. A whole one. It might take me a few weeks, but still."

Kyani Kohanna has posed:
He hands Bea his card with his own logo and information. Though as Bea describes the Reuben to him, he looks at her with hunger, "Oh yeah, oh yeah, I'm hungry and I want one." he says as they get to the deli. He places the order for them both, "Anytime." he says to her. "But for now lets eat and just get to know one another." he laughs. The sandwhiches are brought out with chips and sodas and the two enjoy their lunch.
