Date of Scene: 25 March 2021

Synopsis: Tonight on Cheers: Josie Edition, Jessica runs into a surprisingly large and fit doctor. No, she's not looking for dates, but she did have Claire Templeton in mind, because this doctor has some cheat codes.
Cast of Characters: Jessica Jones, Robert Marksman

Jessica Jones has posed:
Once business hours are over, or she's done running a case, or sometimes simply because it's an emergency, Jessica Jones can almost surely be found at a bar. More often than not, that bar would be Josie's, simply because it's close to her apartment/office, which was strategically purchased for that very reason.

Jessica is sitting by her lonesome at the bar, nursing a glass of whiskey, and looking rather sullen.

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman had to work at the mutant town clinic today, and afterwards he decided he wanted to grab a drink. one of the patients told him about Josie's and that brings Robert to the bar. He looks over the place as he heads towards the bar, ordering a beer, once he is asked what he wants. It might be a bit odd, but he still wears his sunglasses inside.

Jessica Jones has posed:
Jessica is often well aware of her surrounding, and alert to changes, though one doesn't need to be that alert to notice a 6'6" frame walking into their line of sight. She studies Robert's figure outright, not trying to pretend she's not looking, and after he made his order, she asks, "...you work out a lot, don't you? I bet you ate all your greens as a kid to get that big." Nodding her head at the fancy Oakley shades he's wearing, Jess quips, "normally I'd say careful not to lose those fancy shades around these parts, but I think you don't need the Devil of Hell's Kitchen to lend a hand. You look like you can take care of yourself."

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman offers her a smile and says "I try to make sure to get a decent workout either when I get up or before bed. " He admits to the woman. "I'm Robert by the way." He offers to the woman. He does take a moment to check her our since she did the same. "You look like you keep in shape pretty well yourself."

Jessica Jones has posed:
"So what do you do that you can squeeze in a work out every day...?" Jess asks, and while normally it might be intrusive, it is a bar after all. Casual impromptu chats happen, and Robert certainly looks out of place in Josie's run down place, looking as sharp as he does. "Jessica," she offers in turn, taking a sip of her glass, before placing it down on the counter and swirling it about a bit. "Honestly, I just lucked out with good genes, I don't exercise all that much...but I do drink whiskey," she notes as if that in some shape or form would explain being in shape.

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman nods, and looks over to the bartender. "A whiskey for the lady on me." He offers and then back to Jessica. "Actually I'm a doctor, doing my residency at the free clinic in Bushwick. I am lucky, I have a decent gym at home, so I can do my work outs at home.

Jessica Jones has posed:
"I see you'd like to help me stay in shape, appreciated," Jessica raises her nearly finished glass in a way of a toast, she'll never say no to whiskey.

When Robert mentions where he works, Jessica looks a bit surprised, "good family then? Bushwick is not your usual choice for residency, less so when it's a free clinic. I think you might be guilty of being a good guy..."

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman chuckles a bit to this and says "Yea, my family is in electronics, I help out a bit with a new gadget here or there, but it is a bit of a classic story, I had to spend some time in the hospital when I was younger, and they made an impression on me. It was a rough time for my brother and me, but we made it through, so I want to help people back.

Jessica Jones has posed:
"I'm actually surprised, figured with a body like yours you might be into sports, bigger money there, no?" She then finishes her glass just in time to be served the whiskey ordered for her by Robert, and she laughs, "oh, resident at Bushwick free clinic, my bad, money is clearly not your motivation." When he gets to how he and his brother made it through, she has to ask, "...what happened to put you guys there?"

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman looks over and says "I was big into sports in middle school and wanted to in high school, but ended u p more in rehab for the injuries." A look of sadness shows on his face for a moment but he tries to hide it. "My dad, my brother and I were on a camping trip, was an annual thing we did. Was supposed to be a meteor shower that night. Well something happened, never found out for sure what caused it but a portion of the shower that was supposed to go past earth, and they came in our camping area. Dad was killed, my brother and I were both pretty messed up, they got us to the hospital, and we were there about a year or so, but with enough working out we both made a full recovery.

Jessica Jones has posed:
"Ah...I had my share of mmm 'injuries' I guess when I was in high school," Jessica notes off handedly before swirling the new glass, and looking down at the golden liquid. "Funny how high school sucks for most people." Blinking in surprise, Jessica looks aside at Robert, "my condolences, few things suck more than spending over a year of your life in a hospital," just so happens that Jess would know. But instead of devling into that, she changes the subject quick, "so how come you're sticking to beer with that kind of past? You should try whiskey yourself, it helps keep the memory numb."

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman chuckles, a bit and says "Well, first drink of the place, getting a bit of idea, plus to be honest, I have to drink a pretty decent amount to get drunk. So more just something to drink, while having a bit of time here meeting people, and getting to know them. Which got to say is going decent so far.

Jessica Jones has posed:
"You never know who you might run into at Josie's..." Jess quips playfully at Robert, although it's a bit of a lie, you can pretty much count on running into Jessica Jones. "So, you've gone on to become a doctor, well, resident. What about your brother? Was he similarly inspired?"

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman shakes his head, and says "Na, he has taken over the family business. He is a lot more into doing the whole corporate thing than I am. He and I don't hang out that much to be honest. Our dad was hoping to use the trip to get us to get along more. We did for a while, but well you know how siblings can be.

Jessica Jones has posed:
Jessica pauses a moment as she mulls it over, has a sip, mulls it over some more, has another sip for the sake of that other sip, before eventually quipping, "so short version is your brother is a bit of a douchebag?"

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman chuckles a bit and says "He can be at times, when ever there is anything important we usually can get along more when we have to put up with one another on a day to day bases, we but heads to much. He is my older brother and can't seem to let it go, that we are both grown ass men now."

Jessica Jones has posed:
Jessica smiles, a somewhat hallow smile, as she notes, "I get it, I used to call my little brother a retard...he really wasn't though." She nods, and adds, "sometimes we're too busy that we don't pay attention to the changes around us..."

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman nods, and says "It is why, I limit how much we hang out. Let him handle the business, I handle my stuff, and we only get together when there is need to." He admits. He orders himself one of the better whiskeys, and if hers is low, then another for her. "So, what do you do Jessica?"

Jessica Jones has posed:
"Me...? I pay attention to details," Jessica answers rather directly, before following up, "so I ask questions, like, what's the deal with the shades, inside, while it's late in the evening? It's not to keep your laser eyes from burning me to ash, is it?" She half jokes, but than adds, "wouldn't have anything to do with the Buschwick choice, would it? Not that I care, just curious about the shades inside..."

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman looks over to her, and studies her a moment, and decides "Not laser just glow, and allows me to see some things other people could not. It was a change that also came along after the accident." He admits to her. "I usually tell people the glasses are because my eyes are light sensative, which is also the truth.

Jessica Jones has posed:
Jessica smirks, and points a finger at Robert, "you should take a page out of my book, if people ask, you tell'em you got laser eyes, will solve a world of problems for you. Trust me, I know." In a way of changing the subject, fast, she asks, "does it help with the medical stuff? Because that'd be pretty cool."

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman nods, and says "Yea, I can look through you to see your bones, and see if anything is broken. I use it at the clinic to save people money, don't have to do an X-ray unless others need to see where the bones are broken.

Jessica Jones has posed:
"That is pretty useful..." Jessica notes before asking, "would you ever be inclined to meet a colleague? There's this super nurse I know, and I think she might be able to use your input now and again. If you're up for it."

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman nods, and says "Sure, I am up for helping people who need it." He admits. He sips his drink and says "How is she a super nurse, if I may ask."

Jessica Jones has posed:
"Well, she takes time out of her personal life, to help those in need even outside of the hospital, annnnd...I think she has the super power to not need sleep, assuming she's injected with enough coffee..." Jessica offers in all seriousness, as she downs the rest of her glass, "I certainly couldn't do it, I'd fall asleep right off...speaking of which, was nice meeting you Robert, but I think I should be going to sleep..."
